The Zero was the first Japanese warplane made with a lightweight, corrosion-resistant aluminum alloy. The aircraft manufacturers went further with anti-corrosion treatment by spraying Aotake dope on all bare parts, Mitsubishi and Nakajima green for all engine bay and cockpit structures, and a hideous red-oxide on the fuselage, with the exception of fabric-covered flight surfaces.
Mr. Hobby hit the mark with their H125 Cowling Color. Just the right hint of blue in the black. It also makes nice IJAAF and IJN anti-glare strips.
The toothpick pick-and-place cheat is a fantastic idea.
Great video great result!
Sometimes, the simplest solution works best. Thanks for your support.😁🫡

(Slaps forehead) Mr. Neo Sol on a toothpick as a detail handling tool. Oh well, I already got my Squadron Shop wax parts pencils.
Did you know the Kasei radial was heavily influenced by the Pratt and Whitney Twin Wasp?
I had no idea about this.😅 Good point. I've learned something new again.😁👍
