A lot of people are addicted to dopamine hits from their phone and signing new players/resigning existing players is like a drug. Once they sign they are impatient for the “signing day” vids and the temporary dopamine hit that provides. Logic and critical thinking is not part of many people’s mindset. Being a well run club isn’t exciting in the short term but it’s great for us real fans who can appreciate the bigger picture. Thanks for spelling this out.
Lmao bigger picture. You are not special; if there was a bigger picture we wouldn’t have lost 2 titles by a point or so. It’s nonsense. Jurgen klopp was always 1-2 players short almost every transfer window. He was a proper CDM away from winning it all at some point. People wanting liverpool to spend money isn’t because they masturbate to the signing day videos; it’s because they want the team to be properly backed and win. We are liverpool, a giant we are supposed to be winning. The masturbating on signing day videos is just a little extra fun, not the reason for signings 🤣
I love the comment about us as a fan base being greedy. It is very true, and rather frustrating to hear from other Liverpool outlets. I appreciate your perspective and really enjoy your videos. Up the Reds and Up LMoLFC
Hopefully there will be enough cash left to sign a defender & midfielder next month . Alex & Gravy look shattered , without I K the defence looks leaky . #MoneybagsChelsea look the biggest threat to the Reds , they can play their B team in the Conference Lge .
Keeping Mo is a great business decision. Not simply because of his form but this will continue to give Liverpool time to find a long term replacement for him and Chiesa time to get fit + consistent.
@samuelJfoddenjust because you have the money doesn’t mean you give it out freely without proper analysis & negotiations. Pockets aren’t bottomless. godforbid we end up with outrageous contracts like United and Barca that breaks our washer structure and disrupts team processes.
@samuelJfoddenyou might doubt their willingness to spend cash, but one thing you can’t doubt at all is their decision making, both in terms of player and coach selection. For the last few years we’ve been in a far better position than most teams that just throw money around to any shiny players (Chelsea, Barca, United). Objectively the only teams that’s been better than us is City with 115 FFP charges, and Madrid that has the legacy to pull in players.
I hear what you’re saying, Laurence. It’s almost a version of Hanlon’s Razor - don’t attribute to malice what can be attributed to different factors. FSG have always played their cards close to their chest - and very often they deliver (Arne Slot is another example of how shrewd they are). I guess all I’d add (in defence of the fans) regarding Mo is: the contract situation was clearly bothering him too - to the degree that he was effectively enjoining the fans to help light a fire under FSG to get things moving. Hopefully good news is coming (I think it will be). I’m still not convinced Trent will stay, but it wouldn’t be the first time (and won’t be the last time) that a major player, and fan favourite, heads for pastures anew.
Totally agree on the contract negotiations side of things but I do blame fsg for letting them run down. Its one hell of a risk as the approx combined value of the 3 would be upwards of 200 million and you are prepared to risk letting them all go on a free, real bad business taking that chance in my book
Let’s hope all 3 re sign🤞🏻Fsg are done really good things and bad things for the club but if they spent a little more on the squad I would stick my neck out to say we would of won another major trophy in the klopp era.
FSG are very practical. They don't do sentimental. Just look at how the Red Sox renews contracts. But they've realised that Liverpool is on a whole different level. And Mo is a big asset.
When you read Dr ians book it clearly shows how much Edwards rates salah , he literally pleaded to jurgen to sign him , but Edwards also knows you have to replace them at the right time ,hence the length of the contract was the issue, and our online fanbase assumed it's about money.
If Mo is getting his deal now does this mean we may lose VVD or TAA, because those guys will be wanting close to what he wants and that seems unlikely for all 3 to get massive contracts
It takes two to tango. Just take a chill pill. In the end, (current) club management knows what's doable and what's not and they'll have a solution nonetheless. Just keep supporting and trust that our club comes first. That being said, it would be great if we can resign all 3 and add Omar Marmoush in the summer. If we can afford it probably Zubemendi as well..hahaha
Most of the games you lost or when you conceded goals most of the times it was a problem from the defense...you need a reliable team meaning you need at least one good player for every position and you used to have that but not anymore and right now most of your offensive strength comes from one player either by scoring or assisting or being involved in the goals not to mention that this particular player has been so consistent through out the past 8 years and without him statistically speaking you wouldn't have won anything so get a team first then think about selling salah or VVD or whoever you want to sell...trying to convince yourself that you can play well without them especially salah is like pep talk without any significance, you can win games without salah but you can't when titles or even compete on high level and that's not trash talk that's just the reality right now...this contract situation should've been resolved 3 months ago or something and yes it's the club's fault the man is playing with his heart and soul and you're talking about his age...enjoy the moment while it lasts believe me when salah is gone things will be different and it will take time for you to go back to normal all that given that you realize and admit that you need a reliable team and young talented players with potential
I don't know why people were ever making a big deal about it he was always obviously going to sign on there's no danger whatsoever and it's the same case for Virgil, Trent is the only one with some uncertainty but even then I think he's much more likely to sign on As you said Laurence it's just headlines, and for some youtubers just click bait drama bait and all the rest of the baits
My wife constantly worries about transfer rumors online re LFC players... my response is usually the same... wait for something official! The world and their wife want hits on socials. Wait for the player, the club or one of an elite few to post news. Otherwise, don't worry. No idea which of the 3 will stay. I believe we have a huge amount to offer all 3 and would love to see it. I also don't believe the club necessarily failed in not signing them up sooner. I believe, given the timing of Klopp's announcement, that I would have been tentative in signing anything. They didn't know who was coming in, what they would want, whow they would play, whether success was on the cards or not. Why would 3 players in their prime, sign deals for their best years, based on those unknowns? I've believed, throughout, that talks have been happening between them. Not everything plays out in public. Hopefully we are working on great deals with players, either remaining or incoming🤞

@Stelfc I think I also feel that, as we've fallen short at points with brutally slim margins. The buying a CB or MF reinforcements. But, that's with the benefit of hindsight. Yes, many called it at the time, but many have called many things and like the proverbial broken clock some may have been right. Think on balance I can't see a club which has done better since Klopp joined and we shoild be grateful. We should be free to criticise as fans, but i find the narrative against our owners nonsensical. They said they'll make thr club self sustainable and challenge. They're doing just that

All 3 stays. Mo starts to play striker Ala Ronaldo. So we can have more wingers playing. Marmoush , Chiesa, Lucho, Gakpo and Nunez as wing options

Really love the vids. I pretty much agree with every point you’re making. Keep it up bro 👍
This was always going to happen, imo. Just been waiting for it.
Getting Salah done early is good for team harmony. The press would only get louder, the longer the contract isn't sorted.

Nah. A goalscorer is always more valuable. A superstar right back/okayish midfielder isn't on the same level.
Highly doubt this. Only makes FSG more money if they get all 3 to stay. Their contracts are drops in a bucket.
