Complains about how clumsy he is then picks a lock full of spools , torpedos and T-pins effortlessly in a couple of minutes. Don't ever change Ash. This vid was good fun.
Well done getting the open very smooth picking mate. Ah the curse of the early removal of the circlip then the habit of checking that the lock still functions after putting it in the vice. Habits get us every time. Glad the disaster didn't destroy any springs or brick the lock. Thanks for still posting this video, newbies need to see that the experienced locksporters still make rookie mistakes, cheers
@@LockNoob It's a little easier because you're not using the version with the passive pins, but much harder because of the control mechanism of the center. From my experience it is also a very sensitive mechanism, if you pick the cylinder then it can be easily destroyed.
Two things: first, this is the first “Noob” thing I think I’ve ever seen from you, though the calm way you handled it and recovered betrays your experience. Second, I’ve also not seen what that large end on the gut wrench was meant for. A decidedly un-Noob display of tool use and picking talent.
I love it when you post these videos, yes they are funny, but they are also very educational. It might be frustrating for you, but we feel so much better knowing we are not alone :) Thanks!
Lol those sirclips are the bene of my existence. Every one I've ever gone near are either bent in a weird way or on the floor hiding from me. I don't blame them. And I've gone through gutting disasters. A lot. I have 2 on my desk patiently awaiting me to have the patients to fix them. FML.
Great picking. I have one of those but never managed to get an open. Maybe I should have gotten the missing spare tips by multipick. However, in the end I guess I need to hone my skills some more first.
Tough little lock from Abus!

Ah, well, the name is something I’ve used for almost 7 years now and I can’t really stop using it…
No one can fault you for that. Maybe for the lack of foresight though 😂😂
