@@BrushWoodMinis definetly 😆 though you are more skilled then I so when I get around to painting these minis then they won't be as good, but good enough for me 😀
These video guides are great, I've been going back through them recently getting some inspiration. You've got a really nice look that's true to the card art. Have any videos gone missing? I'm sure I watched you painting the mummy too.
Aw thanks for those kind words. All the vids are indeed still here. I never filmed the mummy but I did create a PDF guide for them, plus other minions from the game. You can find links to them all over on my Facebook page, the post is pinned at the top.
I've not been massively impressed with the quality of the new HQ models, I think they chose designs with more fine detail than the final production quality of the models could pull off. So they look a bit melty and ill defined. Having said that, that's easily the best paintjob I have seen on the new HQ miniatures and really shows what can be done. Excellent work.
Thanks man, that’s really great to hear. I totally agree about the ambition being a bit above what the final production quality could manage. It does go to show though that with a little effort they can still stand out on the tabletop.
Nice work mate! I'm close to starting on the HQ models, and found this with a quick search. I enjoy the pace of the video, as well as the quality. Well done man. I'll be watching the other videos for sure now. The barb looks really damn good at the end. How long would you say it took you to paint? Cheers!
Thanks man, great to hear you enjoyed it 😊 It was a while ago now but I think it was around 4-5 hours.. I’m not the fastest painter and adjusting camera shots slows me up even more. Hopefully you’ll find the quality improves as you go, the lighting certainly does eventually lol!
@@BrushWoodMinis Ha! Thanks for the reply. I kinda figured a good solid afternoon for the job. It looks wonderful! I'm a fan of HQ, and this is exactly what I needed for inspiration. Appreciate the video. 100% subbed
Mate you’ve just made my week with that comment, thank you so much. Any questions or queries feel free to get in contact, can find me on FB and IG too.
I gotta ask, how the hell do you keep your brushes with a needle shap point?? I use army painter brushes but can never get the tip sharp enough for tiby detail (yes im a relative novice)
Ah I’ve never tried the AP brushes. I’m a big fan of Rosemary & Co Series 8 brushes (there’s an affiliate link to them on a few of the descriptions). Long bristled sable, thinned paint and a wet palette really help here.
Hi Mary, I’m aware of a good second hand selling Facebook page if you’re in the UK. facebook.com/groups/UKboardgametrade/?ref=share Other than that I’m not too sure unless there’s similar groups where you are.
I can only agree, I’m not a fan of the minis at all. These were actually a commission but I believe my client had purchased a foam insert to use. The paints never gonna last in that insert.
Your highlighting is awesome! I love the details you manage to bring forth
That’s really kind of you to say, thank you. Hopefully the video demonstrates enough method for people to follow along with.

The blending and tones came out beautifully
Thank you, I was quite happy with them in the end. Feel the purple and gold do complement each other really well.
Un capolavoro !
Wow, thank you 😊
Awesome work!
Thanks, glad you enjoyed it :-)

No I'm in the US, but thank you. Very kind.
mold lines
Sometimes they’re just impossible to remove.

Ha congrats.
Very disappointing miniatures, but you did a great job. Do you dare put your painted miniatures back into that thigh-fitting tray?
