Was freaking out bcs i went from 3.5 to 4.5 pts after using ppto, and was wanting to ask a manager about it but was told by a TL that id have to wait till my next scheduled day bcs the person i needed to talk to had already left....i wasn't scheduled for the next three days. On the third day i looked at the me@walmart app and suddenly i had 5pts ....WTF. so now i have to worry about getting fired when i go in tomorrow . F the pt system!
ppto is where u use a day like say snow and u cant get out ur drive way it would protect u from not getting a point pto is where u can use it for vacation i been at walmart for 7 years but once u get 5 points u get terminated the only time u get points is when ur late or u dont call or dont show or key events
I work at a DC aswell. It honestly comes down to management. some managers will fire you at 5 points period, while others will let you get away with 10 points+.
It's 14 days. You have to request your time off 14 days in advance. Of course its still subject to approval. But thats extremwly forgiving. My last job we would just cut the persons hours if they called in sick. Usually they disnt stick around long afterwards & we rarely had any attendance issues. People like to call out for the craziest things.
I was sick do to personal reasons they know about it but today I woke up and I got 5.5 and they put me on a schedule. I’m confused whether or not should I go in or just stay home because I don’t wanna get fired I rather just stay home. But I’m on schedule, but I got 5.5 points.
to be honest i hate the point system and i hate the part where we want to take days off we have to wait till it gets appoved and the other thing i really hate is where we have all these hrs and they cash us out lets say we have over 100 hrs or more and we want to take like 2 weeks off i bet they wont lets us but some walmarts are diffrent from others just my oppion
Imagine having to call your employer and telling them you can't come in to work knowing that you will be letting your co-workers down by not being there. At walmart you are expendable. It can be much worse. You can work in the food industry. As a pro tip, if you're requesting 2 weeks off ask for it a couple months in advance. Be sure to remind your supervisor/manager of the upcoming time off. Meanwhile begin looking for a backup job. If it's only got 2 weeks left to be approved and it's not, put in your 2 week resignation letter. This is the most classy way to quit your job if you are not happy with it.
Which is more important? Cutting corners to make percent, or pulling your pallets and cleaning as you go? Seems like it’s a double edge sword at my DC. They try to harass you over the clean as you go but at the end of the day, im here to pull cases, not clean and hurt my back all night pulling pallets bc they designed the warehouse poorly. At most food warehouses, it’s the folk lift operator’s responsibility to get pallets
That’s dumb. I’ve had this problem if your sick 🤢 you go to doctor you still get a point 🤦🏾♂️ and it’s really 4 points the 5 one is termination. And even a half point take 6 months to come off just like a whole point which a half a point should be only 3 months to come off 🤦🏾♂️ if the pay wasn’t so good I would have been quit.
hey i just started working at walmart like a week ago and i was gonna ask to get off a few hours early this sunday and i was wondering if on the time off hours part if i’m supposed to request how many hours i want off or how many hours i want to work
For good etiquette it is never a good idea to start asking your employer for time off the first 3-6 months of a job. No matter where it is. Unless they are comfortable as an entry level employee.
I got 0.5 points I saw on the Me@Walmart app I don’t know why?? I clocked out at 5:52 on Monday yesterday night (I get off at 6) and I thought we were allowed to leave after 51 I usually leave at 52. And I got off early on Jan 6th at 4 but those 3 hours got approved by my manager so idk why I got 0.5 points? I’m confused I always wait till 52 usually to punch out.
No. You can clock out five minutes before the time. If you clocked out earlier than that, you’ll get a half of a point for clocking out too early. It’s five minutes before your scheduled start time and five minutes before end.
hey man. I been working at Walmart for 7 months and I switched shifts with my coworker... I had approval from my Team Lead... he said its OK to switch... so we worked the shifts then later I noticed I got 2 points (one for absence on the day we switched and another saying I was late on a day that we switched) I am going to address my AT and team lead today to get them removed. Can I do this?
I keep finding mixed reviews about the DC’s when it comes to overtime. How in the world does Walmart have a slow season? Do they start cutting hours and sending folks home. I need OT weekly.
Yeah Over time is giving when the folks are buying the crap out of product. More trucks to unload more merchandise to put on the shelves more cashiers because longer lines more customer service reps because more products are damaged or need to return because they didn't get the rite one. More security because more people In the store shopping. Like that is common sense
Idk how other stores work but w/ food dc We slow WAY down in the summer so they send ppl home but you can say no and they'll move on to ask the next person if they want to leave. Then when the holidays pick up they have plenty of OT to pick up and if we're busy enough they pay ridiculous amounts for you to come work more ot
Nahh dude you need to follow up on that. How you going to say you lazy bro.. What about your attendance bonus? Like how you just going to let them take your points away if you didn't do something.. Yeah amazon system is way starter you can just leave and but it in the phone what it is you want to use... they have what's called UPT un paint time you get 20 hours off top and can leave when you want. But of you want to get paid then you put in pto. From like 1pm to 4pm and you will get paid.. Don't have to talk to no one. With all the AI we have and how far we have come you should have to tell anyone anything that's what the app is for
Not at my store. I took off a few weekdays due to injury and used sick/other and was hit with 2 points. I went to HR and they stated they could not fix it and my store manager was never around for me to run this by him as I worked overnight and need to wait an hour. My HR would NOT fix any attendance issue. I was flagged for punching out an hour early when in truth I punched out a few minutes early and withing the 9 point grace, in fact a few shift people punched out before me. I got a 1/2 point, went to HR and they refused to fix it, told me to talk to the shift lead, why? he has Zero to do with attendance. My HR manager was nice to your face but really shew was a bitch to be since I was a transfer from another store. I open doored this and got nowhere, walmart management is clueless.

Go to work and have a conversation with your boss and the operations manager. If that doesn't go so well, talk to the GM. See what happens.

If u clock in early h get A half a point
😂 my last job didn’t even have pto or any benefits so
Walmart attendance policy is messed if u call out on a holiday h get double the points
How many steps can you get?
It used to be 9 points with no pto protection
Thanks again for the info... im waiting fir a call back on one 1 mile from home.. all the losding and points info is great knowing going in
Good luck!
Does the poimt system at a certain time ?

No they do not. Unless you have a seriously bad injury that will take time off and surgery.

Hy I have questions if I use my PTO and PPTO if I got sick and i went to docteur and he give me docteur note it still they take forme points??
Thats a question for your manager.
if ur sick and he gave u a doctors no and u get a point just show up at ur work and show ur manager the doctor note then they would take the point off

Talk to a area coach , they can fix it . I had 3.5 points from a different coach telling me to take the day off & I got it fixed
Can somebody tell me what does 1.5 means
If you don't have a full 8 hrs ppto can you still use 4.5 hrs ppto to call off and only get a half a point?
Yes, just make sure you also report your absense on onewalmart.com as well.

I would save your PPTO and take the point if can. But if you want to get paid than use the PPTO. I try to save my PPTO for emergencies only.
I keep finding mixed reviews about the DC’s when it comes to overtime. How in the world does Walmart have a slow season? Do they start cutting hours and sending folks home. I need OT weekly.
OT is not consistant. If the customers dont buy as much then we dont work as much. Its supply and demand.

Yes they will make you show proof at some locations or in order to get paid for the leave up to 3 days @earthlingcourtney
