Been doing stonework for decades and I'm always amazed with your masonry hammer work. Hey, good luck being a man our age down there. You still have hair, teeth and have the capability to do physical work! The women are no doubt already beating down your door!
Thanks Mr. Mike- Glad to see you in sort of a retirement mode- Been thinking about retirement down that away or at least in the winter months- God Bless You Buddy!
Mike, thank you so much for sharing your knowledge. I never did any masonry work. After watching about 8 hours of your videos I had the confidence to lay a brick wall with a sandstone cap on my garage. It turned out great thanks to you.
I finally started repointing my stone foundation inside my nearly 200 year old farm house here in central Pa. I wouldn't have put it off this long had I found your channel sooner. The information you share has been great help to me. Thanks Mike!
Another excellent video. I'm a long time follower of you here on RUclips and it's so good to see you continuing to share your mason knowledge albeit in a new location - Florida. Never tire of your videos and thoroughly enjoy them as they've proven useful to me in several projects I undertook and have given me the confidence to do more of them. Thanks Mike and all the best to you in Florida.
Thanks Mike, I've been watching your videos. About to rebuild my crumbled brick stairs with cobblestones and 4 granite treads. Your videos give me some great tips.
Awsome job as usual Mike. You always make it look so simple .I have learned so much from You over the years and Your work is always the best. Also learned alot from Your music videos on how to play and Love all Your music.Great day to You. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍.
Brother, It is GREAT to see you putting your skills to use in Florida, YIKS... "In Shorts and a T-Shirt".... No SNOW, what will you do? As always your lesson was great and skills are superior. Take it easy you old salt. God Bless... Ernie
Your videos are awesome. Thank you for sharing the knowledge. You saved me quite a headache back when I still lived in New England. 30 ish minutes of watching your videos on basement windows and I went and did it. It's been a few years now and it looks perfect no cracks. No problems. And that's your expertise and my hands. 👍
Pity about the permit business because what you did there looks so nice and definitely an upgrade! The landing area would have completely transformed the whole thing. Looking forward to the video about how you made the step. Take care Mike.
Mike says its no big deal but Mike you make it look so easy wish you could help me fix my chimney and driveway lol maybe i can tackle my driveway this summer thanks mike i love your videos been watchin for years No big deal ❤
Well hello there mike. Long time no see. I don't know where in the world you are right now but I hope you enjoyed that nice little snow storm we had last week in the Northeast
Hi Mike, did you just drystack the blocks under the corral? They don't look mortared in. Did you just leave them floating to make it easier for when you come back and re-do the whole stoop in concrete? Absolutely love your videos. You are one of my greatest teachers, in masonry and in how to approach problems in life as well. Most things really aren't "no big deal", in the big picture. Great advice. Thank you, Mike!
Was there a roof over it? Seems to me like the problem is water getting in (especially where it's attached to the house 1:54) but not getting dry quickly.
Your right , no roof, but roofs bring hurricane issues in that type of building and then your dealing with permits etc. I would like to do the porch in concrete In the future, thanks Mike
love the vids - did i miss where you retired to Florida? or have you always been a snowbird? that area - sand and salt water - doesn't it have different requirements for everything - rebar, foundations shifting..? thanks again - at home we are about to start chipping some leftovers - excuse me - begin facing stone.. :)

Mike, how have you had to adjust your work moving from northeast PA to Florida? It looks like longer drying times from this video? What else is different? Different mix ratios? Hope you're well.

your step will outlast the trailer. nice work....again
Thanks old man, Mike
Can you explain the process of making the self-leveling mix from scratch.
Hi marius,,, I don't really consider anything self leveling, everything depends on what your doing, thanks Mike
It is amazing how you repurpose junk debris laying around your trailer park. To mix the cement did you dig up Florida backyard sand to mix it up?
Hi jarn,, there is a sand plant down the road but yea the whole state of Florida is mostly sand, thanks Mike
Thanks Mike, love your videos. How do you remove affluence from stucco, brick, or block? Thank you.
Hi I have vido out call "efflorescence , what is it? Thanks Mike
Of course you have a video for that. Thanks your the best.

Sand everywhere in Florida except for the spot where you need to dig a hole to plant a tree!
Thanks Mark, very true, Mike

Mike, how have you had to adjust your work moving from northeast PA to Florida? It looks like longer drying times from this video? What else is different? Different mix ratios? Hope you're well.
Hi Brian, I would say they make the mixes not as strong as up north, no frost, thanks Mike
Mike, how come you moved to Florida?
Hi, I got to do a video on that, thanks Mike
Hi Mike
Need some advice from a masonry guru.
You're probably levitating above a blanket in meditation mode at the time.
I have a job coming where I'll be laying up field stone
And the customer wants the mortar struck in that old time beveled style.

Not wetting the step before laying stone?
Yes, just the bottom of the tread, thanks Mike
I don't believe in cloning animals, humans, etc., but I'd make a case for you, Mike. We need you in all 50 states. "No big deal." My new mantra.
Thanks mantra, Mike
Why didn’t you need mortar on the blocks under the step?
Hi Strat, I did, I just didn't show it, thanks Mike
@@MikeHaduck I feel better now. Thanks. 🙏

Thanks Paul, I got a new future x wife, lol, thanks mike
