Giving the side of the paper would help. Some papers only have one side in color and the other side is white. If you tell us which side you're starting with, that would help to have a correct turtle.

Look up oragomi turtles and try to do a 3d one... I invented a new species of turtle I call the long legged turtle because I couldn't fold it's legs right
took me literally 10 minutes to figure out how to fold the legs

At first when i watched it, it looked very complicated. But i attempted in trying it, i must say it was a bit tough, trying to interpret what you are doing without a vocal instructor giving directions and measurments. However, with just some patience and lots of focus lol, i was able to get it done good. So overall a good, cute turtle Origami.

Yeah it's not really easy, i've made some origami before (granted, it was some time ago and only a few) like swans. They are hard but it's easier when there's AUDIO to LISTEN to.

I would love if you would go into more detail at 3.24 and 4.05. I finally figured it out but a voiceover is important because you need to explain what is being measured by the various partial folds. At 4.05, I realized that while it's not being shown, the top point is coming down like a lever between the front and the back, and if you think of the vertical fold axis as having 2 parts, upper and lower inner fold, the vertex of the lever needs to be about 1/3 down on the lower part of the fold. Then you can get the little foot to peep out. Not EASY!
I had trouble with that part too. I got it after your comment and after seeing it done on the other side.

out eventually several replays later.

I probably have done origami twice in my life and this wasn't too bad. I used college-ruled line paper just for fun... it's not perfectly symmetrical but it looks like a turtle! Thanks

You have to take the word “easy” off of the description. You cannot expect beginners to follow inside reverse folds and swivel folds. It discourages people from the hobby. I’m not happy with this “tutorial.”

too many swivels folds etc. that are too hard for my 6 year old. Many of these are NOT easy. My son ends up giving up.

Essentially, the fold at 3:55 isn't necessary. He shouldn't have bothered. Skip that bit, and go straight to 4:02, all you're doing is a single REVERSE FOLD. Google what that is and it should become clear. You're pulling part of the inner layer out whilst keeping the model "closed". The trick is to hold the paper lightly - don't pinch on it tight or the layer inside wouldn't be able to move. Imagine if there's a pivot - like a little screw holding down a point near the top and you're just "swivelling" the paper out. Does this make sense?

I did it. Must keep pausing and replaying the video several times. Must stay focused. This video helped me to increase my concentration. Good exercise for mind.
people are being a bit harsh, it is relatively easy but many just give up after a few tries of not getting it and immediately vent their anger towards the undeserving creator. don't give up! great vid :)
