8 reasons why I lose matches
    1. My footwork sucks
    2. My forehand sucks
    3. My 1st serves sucks
    4. My 2nd serves sucks
    5. My backhand sucks
    6. My volley sucks
    7. My overhead sucks
    8. I suck
But I keep working on it.

Hey Pete, this is absolutely one of your best videos. I watched it twice back to back and I’m going to watch it before my next several matches. You have absolutely summed up everything that a recreational player needs to hear. Thanks, Rob

Doing really well. Making great progress on the forehand and serve. If you ever have an open lesson slot on a Friday morning let me know. I’d like to get some more work on the serve. Thanks

Thanks for the tips! I've always been able to beat my tennis buddy but recently I think I've gotten into my own head and now it's 2v1.
I'll definitely take some of these tips into account when I play tonight

Many of us recognize ourselves. As simple as that. Though change just one of those loosing-factors is not that simple, it is a funny and useful reminder. Many thanks for this great video.

Ok, good points. However, the #1 reason I see most people losing tennis matches is that the opponent is playing better i.e., their combination of consistency and offense is better than the player(s) that lose in that match. The #1 reason people don't improve is that they do not accept this reality, and what it means i.e., they have to become more consistent and better at finishing points when the opportunity is there.
Once I realized this, my game improved almost overnight and continues to improve. I still lose to better players, but I never lose to players that 'I should have beat" because I know that is nonsense. The player that wins is the better player, playing better on that day.

And good advice btw. I will think about this video during my next match. My opponent might think I’m crazy because I will be laughing out loud.

To say it’s ok to be nervous is wrong because players that nervous can’t play
