how is it high standards to cook for your wife? (i loved the video, but there's a huge double standard here. a woman cooking for her husband is considered standard, but when a man does it for their wife it makes him husband of the year??)
@@nealaguo9814 Well, yeah, it sucks but it's the reality... besides, I think, well what I find personally really great about this, is Ben *genuinely* cares for Jenn and whatever he does come from that, even if it wasn't cooking. Being deeply understanding, empathetic, and caring AND with actions which is reflected in such a healthy relationship is not so common regardless of gender, I think.
?? what was he supposed to do? not cook for his wife who is probably physically and emotionally exhausted from carrying their baby? the bar is so low for men....
@@nealaguo9814 i definitely agree men will get praised for doing the bare minimum! but sadly this is how it is and i think what ben did for jenn is still a really sweet gesture and also the fact that he addressed how jenn is doing all the heavy-lifting during her pregnancy and the least he can do is be empathetic and support her (including fulfilling her cravings) was also a nice touch
Jenn eating different combinations of the Yorkshire pudding and just munching on the hot Cheetos randomly with it is the cutest thing because she looks so happy
Ugh just Bens mindset on being Jenn’s support system during this pregnancy is making me cry tears of joy. My husband needs to step it up! Now I’m craving in n out animal style fries & a birthday cake! #iseeitiwantit #preggyvibes
Ben, you have genuinely helped to adjust my standards for a future partner/husband. So often we accept breadcrumbs (emotionally speaking) when there are people out there willing to give us five random dishes on request... 😂 If that isn’t love I don’t know what is. So sweet that you understand how much Jenn is going through and are supporting her in such a thoughtful way. Blessings to you both 💛

I like how Ben's cook sophisticated dishes which looks absolutely scrumptious in a very simple way making it easier for me to follow up the recipie and cooking method.

Ben! I’m pregnant and this video has me all kinds of emotional! I’m crying at how sweet this is 😭 you’re such a great husband to the lovely Jenn who most definitely deserves that kind of love💘
NEED to try that kimchi alfredo!! Also quick tips I learned from my dad and that saved me after also cutting myself, is when using a mandoline, get an attachment! there are these round tops with pokers in them to hold the vegetable whilst using! and with a knife, always use the 'finger guarding technique where you basically tuck the tips of your finger slightly under (kind of a claw hand) to avoid catching them if you're cutting! I
I just had my very first baby in February and in and out was certainly on the list ! Cheeseburger, hold the animal sauce, just the classic mustard, extra pickles and lettuce. Beautiful content full of love and food! 🥰 Happy Pregnancy Journey friends!
Made the kimchi Alfredo pasta and Yorkshire pudding this past week. The pasta is too die for and possibly my new go to pasta recipe. Highly recommend! So delicious and easy to make
I just made the kimchi Alfredo recipe tonight for dinner, and both me and my fiance LOVED it!!! Such a brilliant combo. Some things I did differently...I cubed the zucchini and cooked it a few minutes longer (basically added it at the same time as the kimchi and garlic). I also sadly didn't have shallots, so I used extra garlic and green onion. I split the green onion into greens and whites and sautéed the whites at the beginning with the mushrooms and garnished the whole dish at the end with the greens. I also reserved about half a cup of the pasta water to mix in with the heavy cream and reduced that mixture down before adding the pasta. Also, I think I ended up doubling the kimchi...don't be shy with the kimchi! Anyway, thank you, Ben, for the awesome recipe! I want to try the yorkshire pudding next!
Love how Ben is usually like: healthy LA lifestyle, substitute this and that and as soon as Jen is pregnant it’s: SHE WANTS IT THE RIGHT WAY, SHES GETTING IT THE RIGHT WAY 😤
