    I am a belated gardener and I love it! My Mother was the true gardener in the family assisted by my Father. My sister and l often regretted not having paid attention to how she and my Father maintained such beautiful gardens. Both of our parents have passed now but miraculously, I have developed a love for gardening. I have become my Mother.🥀🌷🌸🌳

    This video was so encouraging and helpful for figuring out what to grow in my shady front yard. I've been so discouraged in the past and mostly potted inpatients every season to go with my hostas (the only thing that seemed to grow for me and come back in the spring in this shady area). Again thank you for sharing your great tutorial and gardening expertise.

    This was an extremely well done video. You deserve major kudos for your ability to instruct, for your follow-through on the results (didn't leave us hanging...yea!), for your tastefully interspersed musical interludes, and for your ability to make me believe even I could do something similar.

  • @gardenjoy5223
    @gardenjoy5223 2 года назад +1

    Yes, it looks nice. For now. But in two years time, when the plants have grown, you can get rid of half of them already. Some plants tend to run and overtake. So I just put in extra annuals in the first few years and leave enough space, that I can have those patches of color also after two years.
    Must compliment you on the lovely distribution of color and texture in the plants. From dark green to almost yellow, this spot will look lively even without the splashes of flower color. Yet, I stick with putting less in at first, to leave room for growth.
