    Assuming a four decimal digit mantissa,
    two digit exponent and one digit each for
    sign of mantissa and exponent, perform the
    following arithmetic operations, indicate
    overflow, if any. Use chopping, if required.
    The result should be in normalised form. 6
    (i) Add 0·7265  10-2
    and 0·7105  101
    (ii) Subtract 0·2516  10+2 from 0·1001  103
    (iii) Multiply 0·5125  1050 and 0·1251  1052

    there's a small mistake...in last problem 0.0024e-99 me +2 nai -2 krenge... tb -99-2= -101 ho jayega... kyunki hm point ko right side shift kr rhe hai aur number bada ho rha h..

      but also there is E99 given in question not E-99, So it should be 99-2=97.

      -99 me 2 position right side shift hone se exponent 2 se decreased hojayega now the final value is -101 which is out of range

    But madam .0034 is lies between -0. 9999 and +0.9999?!!!

      thanku for watching videos, but plz watch carefully.
      Value of mantissa always bigger than and equal to 0.1.
      but in this question we got 0.0034, it means that after decimal minimum value we required is 1(like exact value 0.1)
      so we shifted two position to the right and exponent decreased by 2.
      so now the value become 0.3400E3
      i hope now you can understand this scenario.
