- A mix of the standard and instrumental version of Dirty Harry, removing the horrible rap. Such a good song with a terrible rap section. Yuck.

its not that I don't like rap
I don't like that particular rap, it was awkward and rushed and too quiet, just really bad :/
dj and just didn’t really mesh well with the rest of the song (imo)
agreed x100 it was no melodic and had horrible rhythm. Didn't flow. Was like it was written for a different beat, or for no beat at all.

I love rap but i prefer this song without rap

***** Honestly, The Gorillaz do a great job with their melodies and chorus'; but their hip-hop and rap segments often put me out. I'd considered doing this to "Feel Good Inc." but that segment flows well, just can't cut that one out.

That rap section is absolutely so beautiful and powerful but, it just didn't flow with this song, the rest of the song was really calm and chill and he just jumps out of nowhere into your ears with all that power.

For me it was because I wanted to find a version of it that still kept its sort of out in the wild wasteland appeal so that it could be added to my out at war playlist. I like it like that

I know right, the bass in that bit is so good but you can hardly hear it because of the rap so it doesn't get enough credit. I do like the normal version as well but it's nice to hear it without as well.

There are too many elements in this song that when the rap comes on its overload.
I've honestly never heard the rap before until this year, I came back to Gorillaz for the new album and I only heard the version without the rap before
I kinda like it without the rap...
I love gorrilaz so much and there are amazing at putting together a lot of types of music together but this time the rap just didn’t flow as much thx for making this

Bootie Brown's rapping just doesn't work in the song, De la soul and Del the funky homosapien do it incredibly well in Feel good inc. and Clint Eastwood, it definitely has it's place, just not in this song.

I love both version equally. Just depends on my mood i guess. I dont really like rap but i love the rap in any of the gorillaz songs! Without the rap its good 2, but i think its better with the rap... like it belongs with the song
The Gorillaz were capable of easily blending in so many different genres to create something memorable and brilliant, but this time (unfortunately) the rap was so out of place and tune. It made absolutely zero sense, I know the Gorillaz were never around to make sense but here it just never fit which is obviously why this was the first Gorillaz song by memory to have to be remade, not for the radio version, but for the fans who wee disappointed by such a great setup and very little payoff.

Obvious in the pink phantom Elton and Damon overshadow 6black but their collaboration looked good

I feel like the rap could’ve been the best part of the song if they had a rapper that didn’t deviate so much from the sound. Imagine this track with Mac Miller vocals. This was the sound he was moving towards this track would’ve been godly.

The rap portion is like ice cream, and the rest of the song is pizza. You can love both but they're never good when you combine them.

No joke: The rap on this track is the only thing about Demon days I do not like; actually, I completely hate it while loving everything else.
I dig the section where Bootie Brown comes in rapping, but I dig it a lot more without it for some reason... I love rap, but I feel like some Gorillaz tracks don't need it. I'm okay with the rap in Saturn Barz... I like it.. sort of, though I can't understand a damn thing Popcaan (tf?) says. If it was gonna have a rap I wish they'd chosen somebody actually intelligible. I wanted more of 2D singing over that eerie beat too. Fuuuuck, I loved that beat.

Completely forgot about these guys, listened to them on way to work, this was on, bopping my head, then the rap bit came outta no where. NEXT.
