12:39 Thanks. My immersion/aversion therapy, in "square phrases" (say hi to Potzie for me) and reverb... let's just say, I'll have to try a different method, next time. Couldn't kick the habit.
So, it's nice to hear someone use "square phrasing" in a way that helps the more out-there stuff sound right. Sort of counter-balancing the lesson about self-criticism, it was also good to hear Peter not discriminating against the 1, as if it had cooties, as happens sometimes. When people expect the unexpected, then what's usually been expected, now becomes unexpected. I guess, though, if someone did that more often than not, and added tons of reverb, then there'd be more room for self-criticism. Point taken. Great tune, which I'd like to hear more of.
Now, to listen to Adam's!

OMG how DARE you put that track up for criticism! If it had been anybody but one of the players, I'd have called the Better Business Bureau. On second listen, that Flamenco Sketches is just gorgeous. (It was the upload channel that was called "Various Artists"). If I could play like that, I'd have to really nitpick, in order to self-criticise. I should be grateful I have it so easy🤣
Agreed! The 1st thing I listen to is how the band FEELS, is the groove happening. Am I doing well in NOT UPSETTING the apple cart of the groove in the rhythm section?
How little can I play and help, am I leaving enough space for the bass and drums to FIND each other's time feel?
Solos are the last thing on my mind.
