- This is something we see a lot.
A Bolt on Exhaust that doesn't fit well.
There's not many exhausts we've found that fit well, some bother people. Some don't notice it.
If your like us, attention to detail often makes things stand out like a sore thumb.
This Still belongs to a friend and it was not making him happy. This is a very special car and the exhaust tips didn't not fit well.
This is one of the reasons we build our own exhaust.
This exhaust was a typical crude, mig welded fast production exhaust.
We did make it acceptable, 99% perfect.

My OCD wanted to rip it off and remake it. My ‘ save the customer money’ kicked in and we did it in around 2 hours. I think that’s pretty reasonable.
As a Quality engineer John you have reduced my stress with that exhaust fix 😂

That’s the same issue I had with the AWE, and after over a year of frustration with the fitment I went and got the Cobb titanium exhaust. Fitment is perfect. The Cobb isn’t as loud but I’m ok with that. Glad you guys fixed the issue, and hopefully AWE sees this and addresses their QC.
Personally I would have hired you to custom make a double loop exhaust. Regardless it looks fantastic.
I love AWE exhausts but I ran into this exact problem on my F80 M3 and B9 Audi S4.
Next car unfortunately will be getting another brand of exhaust.
