Yap that’s the one thing I didn’t like in this video. It made it seem like only woojin got hurt and everyone else moved on with their life. Don’t get me wrong ofc woojin went thru hell but stray kids went thru a lot too but the video seems to only focus on how stays are very toxic (not even some stays according to the video it’s everyone ) it seemed a lil biased but since everglow is an anti skz it’s understandable that she didn’t put some stuffs that should be in the video

As a Stay, I would never. Spreading hate is just wrong especially when both parties are happy now and living I hope, their best. I had no idea this happen to Woojin. All I knew was that he left and it was his choice and I respected that because I know just how bad the Kpop industry is so its understandable. Woojin is such a nice guy as from what I seen from the clips of him I saw. I know nothing about him tbh but he seemed close with the members especially Chan. God, I hate anti fans. They do the most😒

I thought not so many people hated Woojin, but when i entered in stayville on twitter i realized that most of stays hate Woojin.
I became a stay months before Woojin left and i did used to hate him on the past, not really hate because it’s too strong but i didn’t liked him, nowadays we still not knowing what happened, he admitted that he left because he was immature and he wasn’t thinking abt the team but he’s better now.
Rn i can’t say i like him or i hate him, i just think we should leave everything in the past and stop hating on him.

We don’t need to know what really happened, no one knows besides themselves. Remember this happened 4 years ago and now Woojin and Skz are off happily doing their own things. Opinions are valid but remember it’s a touchy subject that could trigger different reactions. Stan who you wanna stan support who you want to support and don’t spread any more hate than there already is. Yup woojin was a part of skz’s journey just as Skz was a part of Woojin’s journey. the video explains it pretty well, and even though I personally don’t really like him, I don’t hate on him. but i gotta add a few things here
it's never been fully confirmed, but there's a huge indication of the fact that woojin never left, but was kicked out instead. kicked out is maybe a harsh word, but he definitely couldn’t have left fully on his own personal wishes. companies simply aren’t that nice, and they won’t risk losing that much money. idols still have contracts to fulfill, even if he wanted to leave he could've never done it. at least, not RIGHT before an entire comeback and their world tour.
skz had to re-record the entire levanter album, redo the shootings, re-record music videos. for their world tour they had to re-record the entire set list they’ve prepared, and change all their choreographies. in the music video ‘astronaut’ there’s even a few clips of them as 9, that’s how rushed their preparations were. it didn’t seem well planned, at all. they went through an extreme amount of stress during that time, they had to overwork themselves way more than initially planned. hyunjin broke down on stage because he was scared stays would leave them, and promised they'll work harder so he can be someone we're proud of.
the week before it was announced, it was the first time ever that chan missed a "chans room" episode without any explanation. they also didn't celebrate lee knows birthday on the same week, not even with a post. it was complete silence from them and no one knew what was going on, and then the announcement came
when idols leave their groups on their own, usually to sooth the fans they still openly stay in contact. but skz never talks about woojin, not even right after he left, they pretended like he didn't exist. I will argue that they probably weren’t allowed to talk about him because every company has different rules for idols. they completely erased his existence in their discography, and his history in skz. they seem to have a “the past is the past” attitude, so I’ll have one too. neutral.
in their most recent SKZ-LOG video, they watched their old stages. levanter was the first comeback of them as 8 as you know, so they all got really quiet. which we all know is odd. When all of them are together, they’re usually never quiet. hyunjin then mentioned how spiteful they were back then. and chan said that levanter is their beginning, their *real* debut. they tried their best to not associate him to skz anymore, so i simply ignore him in skz content. But if you want to support him as a soloist, that’s ur own choice. just don’t wish him back in skz, because I’ve seen people do that, and they got cooked alive.
No one knows what hat actually happened, or the extent things went behind the scenes. I don’t believe the accusations against him, but I still distance myself from him since I don’t have a connection with him. but i love stray kids a lot. that's why as a stay, i don't like him. i won't actively hate on him, but he's almost a reminder of all the hard times skz had to go through during that time. that's why most stays don't want to associate with him. and the stays that were there during that time are hurt, and feel betrayed, just like skz.
that's kind of an explanation why there's bad blood between stays and kim woojin. i hope i was able to make it sound neutral as well as showing stays perspective. he shouldn’t be harassed or bullied by people, but most stays have a pretty neutral opinion on him and it’s better that way.

yup, it's simply just that - a reminder of the pain we had to go through. I don't understand those who try to guilt trip stays for not supporting him and for wanting to have skz not be assosiated with him. It's our fav group's and our fandom's trauma - why won't you let us deal with it the most peaceful way possible - by ignoring his existence?
I don't like him, but I don't write hateful posts about him. A don't wish any harm on him. I can watch skz content with him in it and still enjoy it. But I won't ever follow him as solo artist, I won't ever watch reactions to his solo content, I won't randomly start a conversation about him, participate in one or even bring his name up. Because it just doesn't feel nice, it's painful and uncomfortable. And it's okay if you do all that. But I don't. I just don't want him being rubbed in my face while i'm trying to happily enjoy skz, who promote as 8 for twice as long as they did being 9, goddamnit. I don't want anyone telling me I have to love and praise him or else I'm a terrible person, which a lot of people do as a counter to all the hate toxic stays post online. I wish everyone just would be normal about it. Like you said - the past is the past.

I hope nigel reads this comment. even if the accusations are fake, he must have done something to be kicked out (i'm not saying it has to be inherently bad, but something that breached contract) because like you said, companies don't let idols go that easily. besides, he's a petty person, because why would he announce a comeback on STAYs' anniversary, or announce his fandom's name on SKZ's anniversary? he obviously knew what he was doing.

nothing was ever proved about him, nothing was ever confirmed, no official statements about the sudden reason he left apart from the one from the company. SKZ never mention him. stays make assumptions based on false allegations and hate on him. no one knows apart from the direct people involved so stays (in my personal opinion) shouldn’t hate. if you don’t like him, just ignore him. I’m not a fan of woojin but I won’t unnecessarily hate because hating on someone can do damage we don’t even realise

I don’t think people should hate on him, but I also don’t think that people should constantly involve him in skz content because he specifically asked not to be associated with them anymore and people still continue to include him in the Content. I don’t think it’s wrong for people to censor his face in videos since he did say himself, he didn’t wanna be in them.
And I also think since what happened at the time was so messy and confusing. A lot of people still have built up resentment and I think it’s fair for people to not want to talk about him or kind of distance themselves from him but I don’t think it’s OK to hate on him yk?

stays not even hate him for the allegations (stays even don't really believe about bullying allegations either). most of stays don't like him because he made the rest of skz members got mentally breakdown because him leaving, chan got death threat from w fans because "he can't protect the 9", they have to redone everything for levanter contents (reshot the mv and photos which is consume a lot of time) and the concert (they have to re-arrange everything from zero again which is again, it can drained their physically and mentally so much). and the one that made stays angry is that while he made clarification about sexual harassment rumor on his "documentary", he and his agency shamelessly promoting his solo debut on the same video, use the allegations as the "aesthetic" for it, use a lot of memes for that too. this is what makes stays don't like him (even when the allegations came out for the first time, there's a lot of stays that still supported him but got turned off after the "documentary")
skz removed him completely from their work nor their history also said a lot. chn indirectly talked about him on live, said he knows someone that has to "get the worst consequences" for that that person done and said "stay knows what i'm saying". stays immedietly think it was for w and after years too, he didn't "correcting" stays if what we think is wrong (because he can easily correcting stays like what he did to stays who thought that "I don't want to admit" is for w). he also doesn't like it when media or anyone use skz old pictures with 9 members on it.
i mean you can be fans of him, no one stopping you for that but i just want to correcting on why stays don't like him. like, a lot.

As a stay since pre-debut, and have seen all that has happened. Yes, I was hurt and cried my eyes out because it happened all of a sudden. We wanted him back and begged for jyp. The kids were hurt, if you didn't know their unlock tour, then you don't know how it felt to be lost and broken again. (in kpop when a member left there are high chance a group won't be successful) Back then skz begged stays to stay, and open up a bit... hyunjin broke down in tears that the they all worked so hard and worried about stays have to say about it. The comeback was delayed and everything needed to change, the song, the choreography, everything! In the last half of the month. It was stressful. The kids work so hard and we stays try our best to make the skz smile again by winning levanter. You can't blame everything on stays. Everyone is hurt at that time and not all stays are the ones who hate him. There are some random accounts that just want to put fuel into the fire. 2019-2020 are the worst year for stays and at the same time one of the best.. We saw skz grow and move on. And we stays try to support skz as 8 members and respect woojin as a solo artist. That's why it's still a lil sensitive seeing someone mention or include him in their recent activities because that means you still haven't moved on and disrespect wj for including him to skz when he's the one who wanted to leave. But then again past is the past and seeing this video make me open up more to him. I'm saying this for our newer stay! Thanks for the video :)

I agree we shouldn't talk abt this tired discourse anymore, but it's important to remember that Chan is a human being like anyone else, and he also isn't the only one who worked hard to debut. Skz has gone through the gutter for the past 5 years being overworked by JYPE, never given breaks and constantly getting sick and collapsing. It's not that farfetched to think woojin didn't want to spend his life like that, especially since he was older and more mature than the kids at the time. He read the writing on the wall. Not even to mention that if your friend Becky says your other friend Jessica is a bitch, you wouldn't exactly believe her with no reason right? Chan hasn't given a reason.

No group in kpop will talk about former members, that's just how it is, literally look at any other group when members left for various reasons they never being talked about once they leave.
And maybe y'all can just acknowledge the sh*t Woojin had been through since pre debut? He was mistreated by fans and company, I can't imagine staying in a place that isn't good to me. And Woojin himself twice hinted it was his choice to leave and with intentions to leave the industry.
And about the leaving time so I wonder if you have any better time to suggest? A week before double knot they announced the new tour and the finished the previous one just 2 days before the announcement, it was at the end of September 2019. He left after double knot promotions were over, a whole month before the cb (that then was postponed for 2 weeks). Let go with ppl saying he should have left after the cb, let’s say right after the release, what is the point? And let’s say after the promotion that's around the end of December, which is exactly a month before the new tour, so how is it better? That they have less time to adjust to 8 members for the new tour? When he left gave them enough time to adjust every both fir the cb and the tour. Their schedule was always packed, they were overworked and still are to this day. No time is actually right or good, but that seem like the best option jype could go with. So now I wonder do you have a better option of time? With looking at their packed schedule. It's always why Woojin is at wrong, why he isn't OK, when maybe y'all cam acknowledge that what is actually known is that he just left cuz he went through sh*t and y'all just can't accept he is not the villain y'all try to paint as🤷‍♀️

I'm very indifferent about Woojin. But for Chan to say "Levanter was our beginning" recently shows how much Stray Kids were (and are to this day) deeply affected by his abrupt departure. They have mentioned how EIGHT IS FATE countless times. That speaks volumes as to how much hurt Woojin caused to his members. I'm sure they were resentful, how could they not? Woojin left during preparations. Stray Kids had to suddenly rerecord songs and change the choreography. I can't imagine the mental and physical toll it had on them. Plus, they were all close to Woojin so they definitely felt sad and betrayed (especially Chan). Look, Stays can support Woojin if they want but personally, I will never do that because of what SKZ have said.

And let’s be real yeah having to rework stuff was abit of a nuisance BUT have you seen how overworked stray kids are? Doing that little thing years ago is nothing compared to the work load they’re on now like be real. if they resent Woojin for doing what’s right for him and putting his mental state first then that says a lot more about them than it does Woojin. I’m tired of the stray kids this, stray kids that but no one cares about what he went through, more than just having to re-record songs he almost had his career and life ruined so freaking what you had to re-record a few seconds of each song with how little lines he got but not only that but they literally profit off of redoing said songs and to add another thing STAYS LITERALLY BEGGED THEM TO DO IT BECAUSE THEY REFUSED TO LISTEN TO SONGS WITH WOOJIN IN.

In JYP especially as we've seen from the Woojin situation and even the Hyunjin hiatus situation, the remaining SKZ members are not allowed mention their names at all or even speak of them. It was probably a legally binding thing. Also, Woojin was no longer a member, so SKZ weren't able to do anything legally even if they wanted to because he wasn't their problem. They also might have felt somewhat betrayed just from the fact that even if he innocent of all of the allegations, he still left them in the middle of album promotions which only increased the burden on everyone else and it happened so fast.

Yes but let's not act as though he didn't light the match whether it was intentional or not.
Given chan has shown his frustration with stays repeatedly when it comes to stays bashing the company and demanding things of JYP on skzs behalf, he is well aware that stays like all kpop fandoms have at least a sector within them that are immature and childish, if not downright destructive.
He has on several occasions (with the most recent being the IVE situation) set his fans off on people by directing negative statements towards groups/individuals that he doesnt hide the identities of well enough (and stays arent stupid so they find out every time who he's talking about) when he should really just have these conversations with the people they concern instead of telling millions of fans what his problems are. He should know better by now, especially seeing as he keeps on insisting that he 'sees everything'.
I understand people like chan's so-called 'realness' but what would have been real would be for him to get on live and explicitly tell fans to stop harassing a man based on false accusations and thier own hurt feelings.
Also, at what point did she actually bash skz? All her point criticise either skz or stays behaviors. If you watch her 'ranking stage presence' series, she actually praises skz, especially 3racha, a lot. Having a posting opinions or disagreeing with someone actions/opinions doesn't not make you a hater. if that was the case I'm sure you must hate aosta everyone in your lives because there is not one person you'll never disagree with.

No matter if he meant it to cause the harm or not (he most likely didn’t, he isn’t a monster LOL) they still had a decent following and there are some fans that will go above and beyond because Chan said what he felt during that moment. Sure, it fucking sucks that he can’t speak his mind, but him doing that can lead to a lot of bad things, like recently with IVE. Like, I don’t understand why fans can’t just let an artist have an opinion and move on with their life. To this day it's still beyond me how stays and kpop stans in general continue to villanize him to the point of dehumanization like he is this object that has no feelings, and all the things he does are just ill-intended, an object that can do no right no matter what.
"he hurt the kids' feelings" but what about HIS feelings? how about how hurt he was at that time? do you think that deciding to leave a big company and a group that he cared about and spent a considerate amount of time training just to debut in was a walk in the park for him? or let's say that he was indeed kicked out: do you think that it was a good time for him? that he was having fun seeing his dream and effort vanish into thin air? (also a much-needed reminder that companies like jype have policies such as dating, things that are not bad and yet are considered a contract breach so pls be rational if yall must speculate of whys). He literally said that he needed time to heal, he wanted to quit music, he obviously was not okay with whatever was going on in his life, he was at a low point, and instead of being considerate or yk at least having basic human decency some of y'all decided that the right thing to do was to give him the "villain" title by fabricating stories about him smh (not just the sa but bullying rumors this whole baseless narratives that they hate him and so on...). He may have hurt the kids but what about what about y'all who even after almost 4 years still hurt his feelings with y'all name calling, malicious speculations and "he may be innocent of the sa allegations BUTS"? i guess that's okay if you don't see that someone as human. And since we are on the topic, it's really alarming how the majority of stays still see his departure as him having bad blood with the members instead of him not being okay with the company and its management (yk the same company that y'all bad mouth 24/7 for how they treat the kids by overworking them to death) and just to be fair since i've see someone quoting jyp about how they will kick out people who break rules and will not disclose the reason behind it to not harm their future, in that same interview jyp also said and i quote "It's very possible the artist and the company's vision does not align. We can talk, but if they only see the company as looking out for money then it’s so hard to reach any agreement" so sure he might have been kicked out by breaking some useless rule but he also might have decided to leave.
Another point i want to touch it the re-recording argument as a proof that he is "guilty" of something. Believe it or not i'm not here to tell you how to feel about him, what i can tell you is that there are some things you're not taking into consideration:
-while stray kids have artistic freedom they're not their own CEOs, they're not independent artists which means that there is a team behind them whose work involves making decisions for them, hence the re-recording was most definitely a decision made by the label, not them.
-JYPE did the same thing with day6 when junhyeok left, they re-recorded and made them re-release their first mini album (the only one that he was part of which basically means they re-recorded and re-released their whole discography with him)
-rerecording has more to do with copyright and royalty issues rather than feelings, it's all about business.
-most groups who have lost a member re-record their music for performance purposes, do you think that they perform with the former member's voice still on the backtrack? obviously not, changes have to be made, and parts of the songs have to be substituted and re-recorded to suit the "new" member part. The only difference is that jype decided to release a studio version of them which is what most of those groups and their companies don't do. In the end, jype move resulted to be a great business choice.
-another thing that is important is that this "re-recording" project didn't start with erasing woojin in their minds, skz2020 was their japanese official debut (a continuation of their pre-debut japanese release: unveil stray kids) as well as a COMPILATION of their older songs, the compilation project most definitely was such a success that they decided to continue with skz2021, resulting in them re-releasing most of their older songs.
And let's also talk about "him putting a strain on them": whose fault do you think it was that? woojin or the company that couldn't handle his departure better? Regardless if you believe that he decided to leave or was kicked out, it's obvious that the company prioritized money over the members' mental/physical health, if the company actually dealt with his departure appropriately things could have gone much better for the members (not saying that they wouldn't be hurt cause losing a member is difficult), if they actually prioritized them they could have appropriately postponed their activities to give them a reasonable amount of time to make up for it but instead they prioritized money by overworking them and putting a strain to their already very precarious mental and physical health (their schedule was crazy at that time and 2019 stays will remember) and that's the reality that most fail to see.
To be clear i'm not saying this to undermine the struggles they had to go through, i was there i saw all of that but at some point you also have to realize who the real villain was and i can tell you that y'all are pointing at the wrong person.
Lastly i want to address the "the kids hate him" narrative cause y'all don't make sense. These words would be understandable if the members actually said something about him but the truth is that they never did, not once and you know why? because there's a nda (non-disclosure agreement) involved which means that they legally can't talk about the situation or him so all of these "reasons" the fandom came up with to justify their hate toward him are just malicious speculations (not facts), and they needed to find those reasons because a lot can't stand the very much real possibility that he may have not been this "bad" person he was being painted as for YEARS. Also the only one who is thought (keyword: thought) to have referenced to woojin is chan (while he may be the leader, his thoughts and feelings do not represent those of the 7 others cause guess what? they all are their own people with their own opinions and povs that can be different from those of chan so pls stop putting him on that high pedastal when he's just a normal human being like all of us) and even if chan was indeed talking about woojin in that live what about it? his frustration, disappointment or whatever he was feeling at that particular time are his own, it's not your business to speculate and make what were his feelings all those 3 years ago your own, don't you see how weird it is? Also the fact that he keeps on repeating that they are 8 is not the shade y'all want it to be, they are 8 and have been 8 for almost 4 years and woojin is now a SOLOIST and wants to be recognized as such as much as skz want to be recognized as 8, it's not that deep and it can become frustrating for BOTH skz and woojin every time someone keeps on using old ot9 pictures of them for present-time events/achievements or referring to woojin only as the ex-skz member.
Also y'all say that you prefer to trust people that knew him (the kids) but do you really?? cause jype/skz make-up artist who worked for them since their debut and who knew the members actually followed him after he left the company and she's still working with him even though she didn't have to. Or let's talk about the old jype trainee who publicly apologized for also having fallen victim to these rumors and actually came up to only say positive things about the time he knew woojin and all the members. Or let's talk about his vocal coach who is still with him and keeps on supporting him after all these years. All these people and more are people who know him for a very long time and their support has been unwavering so by your logic since they know him personally you should trust them too.
    .
And just to be clear i'm not saying that you need to like him but there's a clear line between just not liking someone and spreading misinformation and hate on them and that line is being crossed to this day which is obviously not okay.

*HI NIGEL, I REALLY HOPE YOU READ THIS COMMENT*
(I actually commented something very similar on another channel, and had to look for it)
FIRST OF ALL, I want to say that I'm really proud of you whole reaction throught the video. Many people hurry to blame someone, just like you said, cause It's mor entertaining but It really Isn't!
    *KIM WOOJIN was proven Innocent!!!!*
*This whole thing made me really sad when I found out that everything people said about him was just false...*
I saw this video a long time ago, and watching it again just brought back my sadness for what everyone did to him.
WOOJIN is a soloist now, a very good one may I add, and he deserves peace and love (Yes, it's a corny word, but a true one) in his future.
+ Honestly after reading several comments on the Chan Vlive, I think that he may have talked about Woojin, but in regards to him leaving the group before they were supposed to go on tour for their new album, which got suspended because he left (for personal reasons, no one really knows what had happened to him that he had to leave like that) so they had to change everything from chores to line distribution, and not the allegations against him. because everything he was accused of only happened after that. And I'm sure that Chan felt really bad when everything happened because non of it related to this SH!T storm.
Also, he emphasized that this was not about him.
But even if it was, it was on a very different thing entirely.
I won't ask you to react to him here as an artist, even though I would love that, But a lot of people didn't really care to see what really happened with him and if he is guilty or not, so you may just get hate for it and I really don't want you to, so I'll recommend listening to him on your free time.
His music is good, and his voice is amazing.
I don't know what I would have done in 2020 when all of this happened, because I didn't know them yet, but if I did, I would have probably also take the time to understand what is really going on.
But I would have never reacted like so many people have.
I am not a hateful person, I don't hate just to hate, and I am a criminologist, so I learned too well not to believe automatically to anything people say. Victims or Criminals.
Felix may have been a victim (which was proven to be not true) not being able to defend himself. Yes, he's got a black belt in Taekwondo with 63 medals, but no one knows how to react if they are in this kind of situation, he could have frozen and not defend himself. It was also said that Woojin hurt Han, Changbin and Lee Know (which was also proven wrong!).
Most people think about fight or flight, but it's also freeze, So If that really happened, which it didn't' he may not have reacted at the time.
I do want to say though that all 9 of them lived in a 2-bedroom apartment at the time, up until a little over a year ago, when the 8 of them moved to two apartments.
Before that, the rest of their time was spent together 24/7 with really strict rules. They weren't allowed out and didn't have time to, even if they wanted to.
So even if this was true, which it's not, when could this have happened?
+ Even if Felix was SA, And please GOD don't ever let anything like this happen to him, or anyone else, Felix is not the kind of person to stay silent after it happened, and I really do believe that Chan would be the first person he would reached out too, and Chan most definitely would have taken care of it.
OR he could have not. You can never know what this kind of experience will do to a person... (For me, I called my sister 2/3 minutes after that happened, and for some of my friends, unfortunately, it took several months to several years to mention it)
    In conclusion.
    WOOJIN is INNOCENT!
I am deeply sorry this happened to him because of some hateful people that just decided to falsely accuse him and a mass herd of following bullying sheep that made it a lot worse.
    HE was the victim here.

As much as it sucks that Woojin left for whatever reason he never deserved hate. I think the Stays that started all the hate were acting like immature children because they were hurt. Either because Woojin was their bias who left or because Woojin had hurt Stray Kids feelings by leaving and affecting their comeback and their group dynamic. Stays also grew attached to the group of 9 because of the survival show and how Stay watched Chan and everyone fighting to keep the group as 9. The only logical way I think about why those Stays did what they did is because they didn't know how to handle their feelings and only way they could cope was to make Woojin a terrible person. It's a toxic coping mechanism that Stays had making it so much harder for Woojin than it had to be. Or at least thats how I viewed this entire situation

I've been a fan of Woojin for longer than skz so when ppl would hate on him or argue with me for being a fan of him it made me really upset. I honestly understand why many stays hold grudges against him as the sudden departure made it so hard for the skz members but I don't hate Woojin or skz. I love both and openly support both on my others socials, I just wish others stays were a bit more I guess considerate when it came to ppl like me who don't hate him. Even my own friends have gotten mad at me when they found out I was a cub stating I was bad for liking him considering "Chan doesn't fuck with him." I'm always scared to talk about being a cub to other stays since many have a dislike for Woojin but I feel as though both cubs and stays have the ability to have their own opinions on eachothers idols. Both Woojin and skz didn't deserve the hate they got, we don't and probably won't ever know the full truth of why Woojin left, just watch the documentary by 10x do your own research and make up your own mind.

Woojin wanted to leave. His letter to fans dated late 2019 stated this:
    Hello, it's Woojin.
I want to sincerely thank the fans who have sent support and love to me when I was Stray Kids Woojin.
Also, I want to sincerely apologize to the fans who have been shocked and devastated by the sudden news.
I don't have any personal SNS (social media accounts) so I wondered how I can share this message.
I also needed time to adjust and heal.
Even though it's hard to explain how long I've been debating this, I believe that the fans who have loved me until now will understand me.
Until I can stand in front of you guys, I will work hard as I think about good music and sincerity in songs.
Even though it might take a while, please look after me and cheer me on.
I sincerely thank you and love you all.

yes. People also act blind to how many stays overlooked or hated woojin. From calling him ugly to constantly saying he doesn't fit the group or debating whether he deserved his position as main vocalist. There is such a huge gap in popularity between members today (eg hyunjin and felix vs I.N. and Seungmin) and it was even greater for woojin back then.
Why would he have wanted to stay and be the 9th member of a group who's fans constantly degraded him? if it where anyone else who had left, I doubt allegations of SA would have arose. the fans already disliked him.

Directors, assistants, MUA, set designers, everyone. There are probably dozens of people who could have known and let it slip. How do you lose a member of the group before a comeback without ruining the other members? @@apple_jaxx Whislt I wouldn't put it above JYP entertainment to hide mistreatment behind an enforced NDA, I don't think that JYP is behind the accusations or attacks.
The reason why I don't believe so is that a majority of those involved in these accusations and the attack are from all over the world( Brazil, Germany, US and etc) yet none from Korea, except those who came out to actually disprove the fake 'evidence' given. In the kpop world, Koreans and the Korean public have far more of an impact on an artists trajectory than international Kpop listeners, fans and etc. If it were really JYP behind this, they would have paid off actual staff to publish statements and done some under-the-table dealings with dispatch. None of the accusations would be so easy to disprove, nor would the evidence be so flimsey, there would have been a lot more noise INSIDE Korea than there was at the time, and it would have been taken a lot more seriously.
As for the boys themselves, I truly believe woojin loved them and they loved woojin, I don't think any of them had hatred for him that strong because only a literal psychopath would wake up one day and decide to try to destroy someone's life that way. I just believe that a particular sub-sect of stays hated woojin from the beginning and used the idea that Chan was somehow wronged by woojin by his departure as a means of getting attention and doing harm.
I think that making this sort of accusation is dangerous and given there is NO evidence of this, I don't suggest sharing conspiracies like this. I can see what you're getting at with JYP as a cooperation, but still, to drag the members of stray kids themselves into this is wrong.

Thanks for reacting to this, Woojin is such a Talented Singer and he def doesn't deserve what some spoilt, disgusting and childish fans/Cyberbullies who hide behind screens have put him through over the years even before he left and now years after. I am a Cub from the beginning and a Stay since the end of 2018 and always didn't believe the allegations as I have seen enough young people hurt themselves from the hate and honest to god disgusting cyber bullying that has lead to us loosing so many young talented people. I don't think people realize or acknowledge now but Woojin now works with a stylist and makeup artist who both left JYP to work with him at his company in Sept 2020 and he still dances with background dancers who still work with Stray kids, Honestly I have been a very large fan of Woojin since around I am you/Miroh Era when I was introduced to Stray Kids and even though Felix is my Bias, Woojin was my Bias wrecker as his voice is just so good and amazing and his Dancing was very eye catching in his fan cams. I just wish him good health and best of luck as a solo and Stray Kids Good Health and luck as well .

My take on this as a pre debut stay, is that the whole situation was so much heated that while i was spreading woojin was innocent with proofs , multiple stays attacked me, sent death threats and telling me to commit suicide. I was suffering whole week with fever and it affected my daily life at that time, plus i had the biggest exam of my whole life- the university entrance exam which is taken seriously in my country. Afterwards i prepared for exams while still spreading the truth about the fake allegations cz i genuinely liked woojin and vocalracha as a whole. During this issue, a stay committed suicide, another stay was hospitalized. Stays that were woojin biased were severely bullied irl by their own friends. Many Friendships broke.

No because I fully agree with what you were saying people ALWAYS jump to conclusions especially k-pop fans soo many innocent idols are kicked out and blacklisted from their dreams because of a lie of a hater jealous of their success and other people join in making the situation worse ex: garam from lesserafilm she was just 15 when everyone was bullying her and hating her with no proof and without knowing the whole truth. She only got to live her dream for a week and it was taken from her. Another could also be soojin from g-idol a girl made up a lie and she got kicked out cause people believed it with no proof it’s so sad how eveyone just believes eveything they see 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️ and it’s even crazier cause once eveything Came out people still believe soojin, woojin did these things. Also hyunjin got a bullying accusation a girl came out saying he bullied her in school when hyunjin went to a all boys school… and people STILL believe it’s true people need to stop believing everything with no proof 🤦‍♀️

I won't say much regarding KWJ but I will say this, Bang Chan is one of the most accepting idols/people in the kpop industry and is understanding of everyone's situations. So the fact that he has a visceral reaction whenever KWJ is mentioned and constantly reiterates to people to only refer to Stray Kids' as 8 members tells me something bad had to have happened other than "KWJ leaving for personal/mental health reasons." Stray Kids themselves have said that their true beginning was Levanter and have a difficult time watching content or performances from when there was 9 of them. If he truly left because of personal reasons, I feel as if they wouldn't have the reactions they do whenever he's brought up. I love the current line up of Stray Kids and because of that I just can't respect him because of the pain and hardship he caused them by whatever his actions were.

Here’s my thing in the whole situation. I didn‘t get into stray kids early enough to have really been apart of the whole him leaving ordeal but I was around when the rumors and accusatoins were still boiling. Which all have been proven false and he was proven innocent. If you want more info on an inside view feel free to check out a video documentry called Finger Killers. It clears up the whole, Woojin adressing the situaton, thing as well.
I personally have nothing against Woojin, and to me he seems like a genuinely sweet guy. He has great music and even as himself a little acting gig goin. And his fans love him. Support him, don‘t support him, whatever.
The hate train today is honestly ridiculous in my opinion. Obviously you don’t have to like the guy, but there is no reason to keep bashing the man. We have no clue what he was going through on the other side of all of this and the affect it really had on him. But I can’t imagine he was all sunshine and peaches.
The Kids too. We have no real idea as too the full exctent to what they were feeling when he left or how much they knew prior. A lot of peole say they hate him, but imagine if you were close to someone and all of a sudden they left. Yes it hurts but it can hurt just as equally on both sides. It‘s not impossible that they do hate but it‘s also not garenteed. And we will never fully know, ever. That‘s just how it is. To say that Chan is always pushing the 8 thing because of some distane against him can be a bit of a reach because STAYs are still to this day associating him as being PART of the group. Yeah, I‘d get irritated about it too, even if I didn‘t hate the person. And they do it to Woojin as well. Asking him in video comments and his lives, „When are you going back to Stray Kids?“, „Do you miss Stray Kids?“ „I miss when you were in Stray Kids“. It‘s ridicuclous and people need to move on and quit associating him because neither party wants that!!
While I understand it is hard to not know why he left, especally if you were their from the start, but it‘s already been YEARS and we need to let. That. Go.

    @Alexxandra3110 Год назад +8

    First off, a few things:
English is not my native language. So keep that in mind and feel free to correct me.
I feel the need to comment on this, even though I usually prefer to avoid this topic. I have no emotional attachment to Woojin, as all of this happend before I was into K-Pop. Everything I share here is simply my humble opinion, which others don't necessarily have to agree with.
The real details of what happend is only known by SKZ, Woojin, and the Company. And maybe it's none of our business. Those SA accusations seem to be baseless, and it's unfortunate that he had to deal with all of that. It’s simply not right.
But something definitely happened. This isn’t the type of job you just leave unless there’s a major reason. Labels, like most businesses, are primarily about profits. A lot of people have pointed out that the company faced significant losses when Woojin left SKZ, especially given the timing. Maybe Bang Chan shouldn't have voiced his thoughts, maybe. But he seems like an upfront and genuine guy, even if I don’t know him personally. Holding him accountable for reactions from fans or critics isn’t fair. Most of the time, people are responsible for their own actions. But seeing Chan blamed for things beyond his control isn't new, and it's quite frustrating. I’ve come across comments suggesting Chan is one of the more controversial idols. On that note, much of the negative feedback I’ve seen about Chan seems exaggerated. Turning small things into big issues. And even if he makes a mistake, he's only human. I truly believe he wouldn't intentionally cause harm.
But getting back to the main point: I trust Chan and the rest of SKZ enough to not need all the details. But something went wrong. Woojin did something serious enough that he had to part ways with SKZ and JYP. That is all i need to know.
I saw an interview with JYP himself. He mentioned that if an idol breaks the companys rules or do something that could damage the company’s image, they have to go, regardless of personal feelings. JYP can’t set a precedent by making exceptions. And they won’t disclose reasons for someone’s exit to ensure they still have a future in the industry. I remember this, so I hope no one takes issue if I didn’t get everything down perfectly.
And sometimes, it's best to keep quiet and let things blow over. If SKZ isn’t commenting, it’s probably because they can’t.
Apologies for the detours in thought. I believe this is a fairly neutral statement, except when it comes to Chan; I might be a bit biased there.

Woojin may have left Straykids because of selfish reasons i mean to my pov i think its very clear, he wasn't being treated right in Jyp and he thought it might be better to be a solovist then be in a group where another member is being favoured over you even now you will see that people like Felix and Hyunjin or favour them over other members and whomever gets introduced to Straykids will obviously be introduced through Felix my one friend who is a Bts stan said she only knows Felix and don't know much about the other members.
And i feel like in music industry the most fked up thing is that, if you are not super young super attractive and have some characteristics that make you stand out, you will not be taken seriously or be that famous no matter how hard you work.
Woojin was older than them and he used to get the least amount of lines in every song so it might have been too much pressure specially if other members are favoured more then you ,and its my opinion, this might have been the reason why he may have left .
And by the way, accusing someone of something this serious just because you don't like them is more vile then the actual crime itself.
People who accuse others should get consequences.

He did cause a lot of problems for SKZ at that time. I feel like maybe he suddenly decided out of nowhere, he just didn't wanna be a part of the group. After all they went through, I can imagine it was basically like a slap across the face for all of them. I think that things were definitely handed oddly and poorly. I would definitely suggest watching the Stray Kids District 9 DVD. It gave the first insight as to what it was like after WJ left, as it was their first tour/performance after that. And whether it is the company or him, there have been MANY petty/shady things done from his side of things even to this day. Such as announcing his fandom name on SKZ's anniversary. And announcing his comeback on STAY's anniversary. He's also kept a close eye on the boys and seemed to copy trends they were doing and such. We'll never know if it was intentional or one hell of a coincidence. But I've seen enough to just not favor him in general. 1:18:13 The reason why SKZ never spoke on the accusations is because Stray Kids have an NDA agreement in their contracts. This means that they are not able or allowed to speak on Woojin and are forbidden to acknowledge Woojin now that he is a former member. If they had spoken, it would've been a violation of their contracts. Which sucks because the main point of all of this is simple…Woojin was falsely accused. This case did reach the police and they threw it out because like she said they were all lying. The lack of evidence alone proved that they were lying. I think that the biggest lesson in the Woojin case is to STOP BELIEVING EVERYTHING YOU SEE ONLINE. Until actual evidence is provided…it is very possible that someone is lying. When I learned what he went through I felt so bad for him! And as a SA/r@pe survivor…it also angers me because people who lie like that make it hard for ACTUAL victims to be believed and get justice

Honestly, I agree with most things in the video , except for the point that Felix couldnt be abused because he was trained in taekwondo, so he can protect himself. People who are trained in anything or even people who have a lot of muscle strength and work out every day can still fall victim to abuse, anyone can. It’s not about strength or how powerful they are a lot of the times if it’s somebody that you know and trust, and that also stops you from retaliating.
This is not to say that I believe that woojin bullied the other members, or even abused them in any way, however, this kind of statement is sending a message that is very harmful to people who do get abused, regardless of how physically strong they are. I agree that people need to stop treating Felix like I hopeless baby. I was one of the stays that insisted on being ot8 back when the majority of stays were attacking those who weren't ot9 and kept trying to involve both skz and woojin together, or kept trying to know what happened, I am still very bitter toward those stays who couldn't accept to leave things as they are and wanted something to satisfy their curiosity, let's not even talk about the assholes who lied about those rumors.
with all that beig said, everglowup is also a little biased and has her own opinion on things that she sometimes talk about as facts. everglowup also made a mistake in this video when she said how chan denied that what he talked about in that vlive is about woojn. that is absolutely wrong and he never denied that. the one thing he denied that she conveniently just showed a few screenshots of is the assumptions some fans had that his first solo song (i hate to admit) is about woojin. that's the one thing he denied. but he was indeed talking about woojin when he brought up how someone he knows made a lot of mistakes, betrayed them and was selfish.
ps : if you're one of those people who think chan is "responsible" for what some dumb stays did because of what he said, don't bother commenting under this, no human should ever carry the weight of responsibility of what a million of people watching him decide to do when he never asked from stays to do or say anything and was simply letting out a small piece of what he personally felt as someone who was clearly a victim and got hurt in the reality that happened that we will never actually know.

Whatever exactly happened, we do not know for sure - but I think it should be enough to respect that Stray Kids do not think about Woojin with happiness and both go their separate ways for years now.

Chan simply said he felt betrayed because of someones selfish behavior. If you have logical thinking, you would come to the conclusion that it's because woojin left right before a comeback to pursue his solo career, which was really bad for all people involved in said comeback. And it should have ender with that.
But stay had to spin their own story to try and destroy a person they claimed to love before. In the end they hurt not only woojin with it but chan as well, because he will forever be blamed to have started this. Chan just expressed that he feet hurt/betrayed by someone and stay makes it so much worse instead of trying to cheer him up.

I believe Woojin also kinda explained what happened to him with the false accusations in a video with his new company too.
Nigel thank you for actually taking the time to actually learn about Woojin and I agree he has an amazing voice and very handsome. We should spread love not hate. If you hate than it means that you don't love yourself.

This came up on my feed today 😂 anyway as an OT8 Stay because the boys are entitled to feel however they feel about the situation and a Cub who supports Woojins solo career he definitely was also entitled to whatever made him leave.
A lot of people in these comments have no real insight on contract terms and penalties. Due to the KFTC and past unfair contracts like JYJs most idols have ways they can terminate their contracts especially bigger companies since 2017 so insane large termination fees are not that common anymore.
With JYPE trainees don’t have to pay their debt unless they debut and if your group is relatively popular that debt usually gets paid really fast. With the way SKZ and Woojin had comebacks and a large popularity before he left we can assume with a lot of confidence that his trainee debt was paid and the amount he had to pay from terminating his contract was not an insane amount considering JYPE is known as one of the “lesser evils” to a lot of trainees even though they’re still very strict. And after the Jay Park situation JYPE became known for not forcing people who want to leave to stay compared to companies like SM where even in 2024 are still know for “slave” contracts.
JYPE is also known for not giving insight into why someone leaves the group or company, basically forbidding the remaining members from speaking on it, and having the people who left sign a nda but because of that people always jump to the worst possible thing.

Chan was pretty obvious when he talked about "betrayal" but thats ALL he talked about, chan has never said anything to support the bullying rumours and people just dont get that, they still hear what they want to hear and misunderstand most of his words, there is just no evidence of bullying and people can say tf they want cuz nothing is proved to be true.
Also two of the three brasilian girls who had proves against woojin confessed they lied out of anger, the korean police closed the case and woojin was proven innocent, there's no point in accusing him for SA. (Unless a real victim appears)
And you should react some day to woojin's covers, they're really beautiful and his voice is just angelic, also his personality is just so warm, hes really worth to react to.

As a long-time Stay, it was a difficult time for all Stay ... who think with their heads. Add to it, I'm an older Stay and had chosen, at the time, to -Let the past be the past-. Have a regard for Woojin's talent, hope that his career is a good one and beyond that, nada.
The KZS were heavily effected, it was palatable in their behavior. So, decided to just Love them for who they are in the moment and now. And leave their personal lives to them. If they share with Stay, it's great but beyond that I have no business metaling in theirs private lives.
One little note: Everyone who examines situations without all and I mean - All - the pertinent information will carry a bias into their analysis. This is a simple truth about being human.

Also the kpop industry is very strict regarding publicity especially the big companies, the members were probably advised not to speak on the matter even chan himself. As a long time stay I completely agree with you, I love chan to bits and pieces but he did open pandora's box right there. I feel very very bad for woojin that must've been hell for him, glad more and more people are getting interested to know what actually happened before jumping on the hate train.

I swear this whole case is ridiculous.
I wasn't a Stay back then and I had no idea who Stray Kids even are but I'm sure I would laugh at this situation even then.
There's no evidence anywhere, and all the "evidence" that WAS given was proven wrong so it's just hilarious how so many people were buying this bullshit left and right just to shit on him.
I have no idea what happened, who knows maybe he did actually harm someone but definitely not the people that spoke out about it.
There's always gonna be a reason for him leaving, of course we don't have to know it but something DID happen and whatever it was should stay behind and in the past.
Leave both Stray Kids (yes unsurprisingly they also got hate aka mostly Bang Chan for "failing" to keep the members as 9) and Woojin alone, it really isn't that hard.
    Just crazy.

I only started following Stray Kids when Hyunjin had just returned from hiatus and I’m kind of glad I missed these heartbreaks for SKZ and STAY’s (this is only because it would have broken my heart as well and would have worried about Hyunjin during hiatus.) They have all been through so much and have only ever come back stronger. I know Chan doesn’t want SKZ to be associated with Woojin anymore but it’s part of their history and they prevailed anyway (no hate to Woojin or saying it’s his fault) They keep going from strength to strength and I think new STAY’s don’t really need to know about it all because it’s uncovering things that could bring hurt to especially Chan, but understand when they are curious as to who he is and why he left and I think it’s fair they want to understand it.

I just think personally that it was a fan that was upset that he was leaving the group and decided to frame him and make it seem like he was Harassing them to make him look like bad person so that people would hate him but I’m not just going to go with what everyone says just off of what someone said like I’m not going to hate him cuz y’all do and for one it’s not my business if he did something or not if he did then he would have to with the consequences and if he did then don’t worry about him .
