Being one of 4 boys growing up... my brothers and I grew a massive lego star wars collection without even meaning it. Some of these are the oldest lego star wars sets and most vintage lego star wars minifigured that you can get. All of which was just sitting in a box in the attic ready for a lego unboxing video some 17 years later. I really didn't remember just how much star wars lego sets we collected during our time but this video tells it all. Lego starwars builds just sitting in a box ready to be redescovered. Soon I will also be jumping into lego ww2 and lego ww2 as well as lego napoleonic wars and so on... honestly for no reason other than i really like the idea of doing ww2 lego, ww1 lego and napoleonic wars lego sets. I like history, and lego history... maybe even lego stop motion might be on the cards for this new lego youtube channel.

The incomplete Tusken Raider reprensts the fact that Anakin Slaughtered not the just the men, but the woman and the children too.

@@ScotsPlastic Also You should maybe check the "monstrosities" for missing parts, Anakin is using the wrong head I am pretty sure.
I'd personally say you should build the bigger sets first, using more of your collection, leaving you with less parts for the smaller sets, epic vid

I am currently doing the same thing with my old Lego star wars sets with my friend, and its a pain having to sort through all the pieces 😅Tip: lay out a bedsheet on the ground when you pour out all of the pieces, so certain pieces stand out more and it is soo much easier to clean up

Just a heads up I’ve actually been doing this same thing with my old sets on and off for a few years and some of the big sets can take days to finish I respect the grind because I’ve been there and know what it’s like!good luck to you man!

Loving what you're doing mate, it gave me the idea to rebuild some old sets too
Recommendation: don't do 18plus lego, just do lego WHICH kids can also watch
Amazing follow up, it is very entertaining to get a closer look at what's in the box.
Usually when I rebuild sets from bulk lots, it does help to have the part sheets where you can start checking them off and throwing them in their own bins, working on multiple sets at a time.
Great series and super excited to see how many you are able to complete

Title suggestion
The intro of how you were organizing the lego's depending on the color was satisfying.
Something to think about you never want to substitute parts from the same lot of legos to complete one set because when you go to build another one parts you need are going to be jumbled with other sets and to go back and find out where it was put is very difficult. I would suggest buying more lots of similar colors and picking from there to complete or if you can afford it order missing parts from brick link.
Maybe it would be cool to see you build the Jabbas sail barge

Scot you should build the Scout Trooper Speeder bikes one. Also once you finish all of your childhood collection, can you possibly make the Deathstar?

There is methods to remove the paint on minifigures, only thing is it can weaken the plastic. So do your research before starting as some remove the printing on minifigures as well.

I've also rebuilt a lot of my destroyed sets and one lesson i learned is to never use 2 different pieces for as a replacement for 1 piece since those pieces will probably be used in another set and you end up forgetting which set you used it in and it just becomes the worst thing ever. hope this helps. great video btw.

I understand your pain sorting it out. I pulled out my old collection last year (over 150 sets) and went through the boxes and broke them down and put them all in sealed bags and labelled them, cost me 50 quid to replace the missing pieces, found all the figures though. Took me and my mrs 2 weeks to do it all because we went through every piece and listed all the missing ones, I’d do it again though it was worth it

a good way to remove sharpie from Minifigures would be by rubbing toothpaste on them, it's a grueling task but it saved some of my Minifigures.
Be carefull with the brown parts they break really fast
Yo you can use some paint remover to fix Jaba bea cause the old one was just solid plastic with no printing
I actually really like the look of the speeder with the brighter red bar and the grey engine piece. Looks like it was broken down and repaired... Which it technically was 😂
If you need the missing pieces then bricklink is the best place to purchase them imo

Put a blanket or towel under the lego you are dumping on the floor so it's easier to clean up.

plastic scot rlly lives as a serial killer: drawers for cutlery with only enough for person, a lego collection to well organized, a larger studio then bedroom, a bedroom wich is pretty much empty; this shit actually is haunting me

it might be more efficient for you to build the bigger ones first so that you arent looking for specific pieces for a small set
also if you have to use pieces that are the wrong color for smaller sets, those pieces could be from bigger sets

I had 4 tuskan encounter. I am currently hunting for Sets I had as a child or I wanted . I am collecting boxed and displaying boxed . Currently got lukes landspeeder from 1999 and 2005 revenge of the sith clone walker. Next to get on the list is jabbas welcome and jabbas prize Eventually the catamaran is on the list

when i sorted my old legos i put the white and black bricks all in this big black container worst decision of my life now i need a flashlight almost every time i need something from there

This is why I sort by part type not color. It would take a lot less time to find the right color instead of the right part in a big pile of black.
And yes, I acknowledge that it takes far longer and more space to sort by part type. But I would rather take the time sorting on the front end and have building be quicker on the backend. That being said build one of the bigger sets next. It would help thin out the pile and make the smaller sets easier to find.
