Got mine today! All the reviews on the Bathys are spot on I have seen to date! The best sounding Bluetooth Headphones I have heard and wit the wired options it sure does make a lot of sense to only have to own this one do it all pair!
I have a Focal Utopia and several other high end phones but also a Sony WXM4 for my one Bluetooth option, is it worth spending this kind of money for another BT pair? Would I only expect marginal differences or will this sound as energetic and loud as a true amp-driven high-end headphone? The anemic volume and energy as always been what I hated most about BT headphones less so than compressed audio.
@@mikeg2491 On my iPhone via bluetooth connection only, I can not listen to the headphones past the 3/4 of full volume as it is very loud and would damage ears badly with certain Genre's of music. Hello, I heard the Bathys a few days ago. Sound convincing, but the KH is permanently silent noise - whether music is played or not. It is enough when it is on. Even with quiet music, the noise is still perceptible and distracting in the long term. In Transparency mode, the noise is significantly stronger. With my current Sennheiser Momentum 3 or my older Bose QC35II I can also hear a slight noise in silence, but at the latest when music is played (also very quiet), then no noise is audible to me. Is the noise normal?
Hmm, I’m looking for exactly this headphone but with a balanced cable input. I had my Grado 325s converted by you to balanced with black dragon cables and it’s a night and day difference. I just picked up the Bathy's last week, after watching this great review & several others. I definitely am impressed with the sound & quality build, using them with my FiiO 11 LTD DAP. Ugh. Cables are cables. Hate the lies pushed with the Dragon cable sales pitch. Cables do NOT change the sound.
This is Moon Audio we are talking about haha. I don't trust a word they say. "Sonic Strengths" so dumb... LOL
I don't know man. I've bought from cables from Moon Audio and others and I don't think I'm imagining the difference I hear.
@@toddasher6112 Todd, as long as a cable is well-shielded it will sound the same as others. All this cable stuff is to prey on people that don't know better. There is a reason these companies don't like 3rd parties doing A/B tests on their cables.
@@toddasher6112 100% it’s placebo. You may hear a difference between balanced and non balanced, but that’s all.
Just by listening to their pitch on cable I am not inclined to trust their reviews going forward!
Why do you guys have such a bad reputation for supposedly scamming people on Reddit? Someone from your company needs to respond to these allegations or people like me will be swayed away from purchasing from you. You guys seem legitimate but it's quite a bit of posts. Thanks for the review 👍
Are you serious? What kind of illegitimate business would get a brand new headphone from Focal before it's even announced lol go back to Reddit
@@robwilkins72 Hey you hippo Focal doesn't have the best reputation with it's customers you can look that up anywhere. As far as to why they have stuff coming in is because they are an audio equipment dealer and not a very good one at that if you have to fend for them. I'll go back headfi gearspace and reddit forums that know way more about about anything than u would
@@jcap8391 lol hippo? keep it classy over there at reddit. I'll tell my 11yo nephew to hit you up for some kewl memes. a couple threads on reddit hardly makes a company illegitimate. its the walmart of forums.
@@anthonydiviolla1944 You must not be able to read anymore boomer. I also said headfi and gearspace also mentioned bad experiences with focal and moon audio
@@anthonydiviolla1944 If reddit is the Walmart of forums what reigns supreme in your eyes Mr Diviolla?
no LDAC or AptX lossless codec? Sigh.
It has aptx adaptive, good enough.
@@truth-12345. enjoy that for...800USD
@@harackmw I mean u get USB DAC mode. APTX lossless is pretty useless, LDAC is still king but you do lose out on the latency using LDAC over APTX adaptive. Bluetooth is always filled with compromises
@@harackmw If I have the money I'd still pick this over Apple airpods max.
@@truth-12345. Not for this price !!!
Pronounced Bah-tees
Ummmmmm… 800 reasons not to buy for me… id get a kef mu7 and a sony xm5 if i have $800
Comparable sound to the Celestee. Thats a shame...
Mark Levinson 5909. Even better sound and better production quality. “When a call comes in you press Bluetooth button” - why???? Why can’t this dumb phone just take a call without me having tp do anything?
Comparing this to Sony and Bose and Senn’s stupidest line momentum (senn makes amazing stuff not this line ain’t it) is just silly.
These rather overrated, overhyped headphones were clearly tuned to a very specific sound, and unfortunately it is a veiled, dull sound. It's weird, it sounds airy and at the same time veiled. If you don't know the price of these, and you listen to them blind, you would think these are much cheaper. But hey it looks and feels expensive.
I got the dune edition and the px8 both are amazing
