    Got mine today! All the reviews on the Bathys are spot on I have seen to date! The best sounding Bluetooth Headphones I have heard and wit the wired options it sure does make a lot of sense to only have to own this one do it all pair!

    • @mikeg2491
      @mikeg2491 2 года назад

      I have a Focal Utopia and several other high end phones but also a Sony WXM4 for my one Bluetooth option, is it worth spending this kind of money for another BT pair? Would I only expect marginal differences or will this sound as energetic and loud as a true amp-driven high-end headphone? The anemic volume and energy as always been what I hated most about BT headphones less so than compressed audio.

    • @stevel4329
      @stevel4329 2 года назад +2

      @@mikeg2491 On my iPhone via bluetooth connection only, I can not listen to the headphones past the 3/4 of full volume as it is very loud and would damage ears badly with certain Genre's of music. I have played them at full volume on more laid back songs but I can not do it for long. I must say I know what your saying as the loudest IEM's I have tried with Blue tooth can not match the 3/4 volume of the Bathys via Bluetooth connection. And of course this is the same with the 3.5mm connection and DAC option as in those two configurations you are running more like a set of wired.

      @@stevel4329 thank you! And yea don’t worry I don’t intend to ruin my hearing but what I love about the utopia and other high-end headphones is that rumble you get in a deep bass song that just feels cavernous and real, yet to find a BT headphone that can replicate that.

    • @stevel4329
      @stevel4329 2 года назад +1

      @@mikeg2491 LOL< no not worried about your hearing! You do you! I love loud music more than I should probably and at the highest volume on certain tracks it hurts. As far as the bass response I probably had the bassiest in ears in the past with the Devialet Gemini, the bass was excellent but was a little fake to my liking. I do like the bass on the Liberty Pro 3's. Even then these do not do what the Bathys does. All the reviews I have seen have been pretty accurate I must say. They say these are more like the Celestee cans from Focal and if thats the truth and I am looking for another over ear I will save up for the Stelia then. They are supposed to be wonderful. But the bass on the Bathys I find the best for wireless, certainly better than Bose, Sony, Dali, etc... as I find them all recessed, but hard to say if what I like is what you like. There is a sub bass that is clear and smooth and I find it is not over powering. The fact you can EQ on the app does not hurt for the Bluetooth option either.

But I told myself if they weren't perfect I was going to return them. So for me... they're not perfect because of the stock cable. Hello, I heard the Bathys a few days ago. Sound convincing, but the KH is permanently silent noise - whether music is played or not. It is enough when it is on. Even with quiet music, the noise is still perceptible and distracting in the long term. In Transparency mode, the noise is significantly stronger. With my current Sennheiser Momentum 3 or my older Bose QC35II I can also hear a slight noise in silence, but at the latest when music is played (also very quiet), then no noise is audible to me.
    Is the noise normal?

If this gave me the option to have Bluetooth and balanced, I’d get it in a second. I think it would be the perfect partner to the AK KANN Max.

      Yea it is an oversight for sure, if they think that bluetooth codecs all sound the same why bother entering the high end market period why not make a cheaper headphone in the 300 dollar market, audiophiles hate bluetooth to begin with but at least ldac is closer to cd quality. The USB connection seems like a gimmick, who cares, if I am stationary I will be plugged in to an actual amp and using real headphones not a usb dac on a headphone.

    Is an upgrade cable justified for this headphone since you can’t use it in a truly passive mode? it must be on meaning both ANC and I assume DSP are operating in 3.5 wired mode. I tried wiring to my Chord mojo 2 and thought the sound improved and the mojo was controlling the volume but apparently this isn’t possible and i’m imagining the sound improvement.

    • @moon-audio
      @moon-audio  Год назад

      We find the upgrade cable to make a big difference overall! While there is not a true passive mode, you can bypass the DAC in the Earcup with one of your own which can make the headphone sound even better. The Chord Mojo 2 is a better DAC and will improve your audio quality quite a bit. You aren't imagining it!
      The ANC stays on, but the other features are bypassed when using an analog cable. DSP (i.e. DIgital Signal processing) is not used when listening via the 3.5mm output of your Mojo 2 as that is an analog signal and not a digital one. This also means you can control your volume with the Mojo 2!

      @@moon-audio Hi I have the Bathys and tried wiring it with my chord mojo 2 and thought the sound improved. But sharing in a fb group I was told it’s not possible because the Bathys are always on and processing the signal so you can’t alter it with an external amp/dac and I assume an upgrade cable. It’s true there’s no truly passive mode. So what do you think about this? The fact there’s no true passive mode?

Honestly the radiance are better, but genuinely If I’m not sitting down and focusing deeply on the music I can hardly tell the difference, the Bathy get within 95-98% of the SQ of the Radiance and that’s freaking insane. Why do you guys have such a bad reputation for supposedly scamming people on Reddit? Someone from your company needs to respond to these allegations or people like me will be swayed away from purchasing from you. You guys seem legitimate but it's quite a bit of posts. Thanks for the review 👍

      @@robwilkins72 Hey you hippo Focal doesn't have the best reputation with it's customers you can look that up anywhere. As far as to why they have stuff coming in is because they are an audio equipment dealer and not a very good one at that if you have to fend for them. I'll go back headfi gearspace and reddit forums that know way more about about anything than u would

    Mark Levinson 5909. Even better sound and better production quality. “When a call comes in you press Bluetooth button” - why???? Why can’t this dumb phone just take a call without me having tp do anything?
    Comparing this to Sony and Bose and Senn’s stupidest line momentum (senn makes amazing stuff not this line ain’t it) is just silly.

    These rather overrated, overhyped headphones were clearly tuned to a very specific sound, and unfortunately it is a veiled, dull sound. It's weird, it sounds airy and at the same time veiled. If you don't know the price of these, and you listen to them blind, you would think these are much cheaper. But hey it looks and feels expensive.
