One of Baba’s students, Sanjay Mahalingam, PhD is now devoting a significant part of his life to assisting others in understanding this lesson. It is the lesson of self enquiry, self discovery and in the truest sense, self awareness.
Dr. Mahalingam, is now an Assistant Professor at the university he graduated from, the Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning in Sai Baba’s ashram, Prashanti Nilayam, India. In this interview one quickly discovers Dr. Mahalingam’s passion for self understanding.

My learning for today. This so called mind is the biggest liar, this brings so much relaxation!!! One gets depressed, anxious etc because of the mind. One should not identify themselves with their thoughts, their body, their past and future, past is just your memory, future is just your imagination. The only thing that matters is self enquiry in this present moment. Who am I? Where have I come from? Where am I going?

The session was so clear.sooo much information doubts and mind drama is so confusing about self inquiry and explanation of your subject is simply simple that it has cleared my many quests..
So the power of discrimination should be very sharp that it should be developed constantly with letting go principle in karma yoga and constant concentration of japa or dynam in the spiritual heart..so latching to the wisdom constantly with control and steadfastness will lead us to jeevanmukthi...is my little understanding.. please clarify sir.

I taught it is wrong to feel lost and dont know what to do how to live the life after I realised from Swami what is ilusion and what is real and how to realize one self...
Now I know whats going on 🙂 the mind is disolving it is hapening... Mind gets like the obsticle in life, thoughts slow me down any idea that comes up in terms of outside world I feel it in my heart that is false is not potent is not supported from the source I can recognise this in myself....
And what to say🙂
The only way out is IN and nothing else matters anymore...
Only authentic thing or way that I use the mind is constant namasmarana as Swami has showed Us.... Anything else I feel it hollow...

Can we say I AM is the beginning and the end?? And 'I Am' ends with the end of life. Till then be in I AM- all else is not you.. is this correct??
Yes, pretty much correct. When I-am is not paid attention to, it latches on to the form and the individual is created and with that the world. When attention is paid to I-am, we go the source of I-am, which is the absolute. So I-am unattended is the world and I-am watched is the absolute.
@@sanjaymahalingam108 Thank you. When we say pay attention to I-am, isn't like I-am paying to I-am, kind of sounds like duality, like Iam trying to watch Iam somewhere inside me?
@@palanichidambaram We are always anyway saying I-am all the time. Its the primordial thought. We are only looking for the source of that thought by paying attention to the I-am thought. The source of the I-am thought is GOD. We are trying to deepen the experience of I-am and reach its source and stay there.

its the pettiness of the mind to seek for ans and certainty. Mind can never know truth. In its effort to know, mind would cook up its own truth (lie) and pat its own back, consoles itself, so that it can live few more moments of false life.
Well i dont know, i strongly feel there are more because the vasanas of the jiva (Swami say there are many path depent on the like of the jivatma to reach God, once of it is jnana, other bhakti, karma, but this essencialy are One) if there are no use, so for what this talk? This video? Or such such book tht the speaker write????
First, atory is Swami tell to throw the book th hv been read, wht book you read?? Swami book? The Vahini? Or wht book?? (So the word is throw it wich The Indweller know it not mean to us bcause already have Sathya Sai Speak or Vahini, did it mean you throw Sai Vahini also???
Second, when Swami ask, "who Im I" this is related to wht already Swami explain in the Sathya Sai Speak, specialy the Sai Vahini, in Bhagavata Vahini and Sutra Vahini tht ppl say God is Abstract other say God in form, the Truth is God is both formless and with form (Nirguna Saguna) this is Swami mean the Nirguna Aspek, so all answer tht related to Saguna is not match... so this is just bcause NoT READ THE BOOK OF SWAMI in totaly. Tht in my opinion.
