DIY Teacher Rocking Chair

I am so excited to share with you how I made my beautiful teacher rocking chair for my future classroom! I hope you can use this is inspiration for your own chair or classroom projects. Also, I want to apologize in advance for some of my clips being out of focus. I am still trying to figure out the video making process on a camera that wasn't made for videos (lol).

you and I are literally the same person. I just graduated with a degree in early childhood ed which is birth through third grade. I am so excited to have my own classroom but I don't have one yet either!! and I also bought a rocking chair off of Facebook market place for 20 dollars. Lol that is too funny!

I just wrote my name using a paint pen, but you could use sticker letters if you don't want to write it. Good luck with your chair!

Love love love it! Do you remember the colors you used for the yellow pencils?? Also what type varnish??

I don't remember the colors, but I know I used all cheap acrylic paints from Walmart! For the varnish, I used a polyurethane one by minwax. It's held up pretty nicely over these last few years!
