The real remastered for PC comes later that year, then you have your much better graphics. I'm kidding. But honest here: The Remastered (2018) for consoles looks EXACTLY like the Original (2008) for PC on Ultra graphics.
IMO, remastered versions should include completely overhauled and updated graphics. An easy cash cow for EA because I can barely notice any difference. Such a shame this great game wasn’t given the effort to remaster it deserved.
James Williams Updating the graphics means a new engine, with new assets and textures, lighting, therefore it would be a "remake" this is a remaster. I swear the gaming community incuding you must have been dropped at birth.
Kid, I don't have time for your stupidity and ineptitude in comprehending what constitutes a remaster vs remake. The work to remaster here is so negligible it should more accurately be described as a port with higher graphics settings. That's not enough to label a game a 'remaster'. Other than being able to play on a different console there is absolutely no benefit to owning this so-called 'remastered' version. People like you are so dumb you would buy a turd if they labeled it a magic bean.
Just the details are looking better....but it is hard to see the difference. If you'd tell me that the old version would be the remaster I wouldn't see a big difference.
I get it that a remaster isn't going to look as good as a remake but they really could've put more effort into this game... Not really worth 40 bucks but I'll definitely buy it for 20
Logan Girard there’s been plenty remasters that actually made a difference enough to buy it. All they needed to do is remaster the shaders, and that’d be fine, but not much even changed in this lol
Is some comparisons, I almost want to say I prefer the original. This isn't a dig at the Remastered version, it's just a testament to how well the original still holds up! This was my absolute favorite Burnout by far and if we can't have a new Burnout, I'll gladly accept Burnout Paradise Remastered! It's preloaded on my PS4 and ready to go!
Alex Tsekot I say they did a pretty good job on remastering the game, if your thinking remastered as remake then I could see you point but it’s not a remake
The main problem with BPR is that the game is bloated and filled with textures that are 4k for no reason and they practically threw all the textures into an ai upscale and called it a day, not to mention the fact that bpr is a pretty broken mess that modders had to fix. It's not a bad game in the slightest, but it should've been handled better.
I don't think this is too bad. Think it like this: they wanted to port the game to newer gen consoles and modify the game only a bit to let it run on new consoles. It's a game of 2008 that people liked and they ported it on new gen consoles but they couldn't use the same coding so they made new textures but not modify the game. (And let's be honest: it doesn't need a graphical change because it still looks new)
If major difference is any concern, the billboard ads we're completely different, the original has crazy ton of real life ads whereas the remastered version we're completely replaced with fictional in universe one's (most notably look closely at 1:52 and 2:30) and judging from comments section, it's seems like CoD4 Modern Warfare Remastered spoiled everyone's minds about what was the definition of _remastered_ was sadly...
I have over 500 hours in Burnout Paradise for PS3 and about 50 for Burnout Paradise on PS4 and I must say, I actually prefer the lighting on the original version. Not to mention it's less buggy, it has better looking ads on the billboards, two more songs, and a few more cars (the sponsor cars you could get back in 2008) Edit: I also forgot to mention that the vehicle sprites that you see when choosing a car at the junk yard are all messed up in the remaster.
poor...after 10 years...releasing a "remastered " version that could be obtained with a graphic patch...and not that of a big difference. This was the best racing game of it's time and remained so in the next years. It could have been the best, again. (sorry for my english)

Oh, I get it: they disabled online game and you have to pay again to have your online back in the exact same game!
I don't think games should be remastered unless they are at least 2 generations old....
•__•
I'm looking at you bethesda. With your 9 different versions of skyrim in the span of 10 years
Its sad that ea decided to stop making burnout games... So ea decided to make f1 games nascar games nfs games and codemasters games
IMO, remastered versions should include completely overhauled and updated graphics. An easy cash cow for EA because I can barely notice any difference. Such a shame this great game wasn’t given the effort to remaster it deserved.
James Williams Then it would be a Remake, "Fuckwitt"!

They you go the definition of what this is, there fore it's not a Remake. Thick much?
We're not talking about completely remaking the game, just updating the graphics to 2018 you fool.
People like you are so dumb you would buy a turd if they labeled it a magic bean.
only reason to get remastered is to have the extra content on PC
Just the details are looking better....but it is hard to see the difference. If you'd tell me that the old version would be the remaster I wouldn't see a big difference.
Foxy 1525 It becomes more obvious when you actually play both versions.
Mr Kacperov yeah. Thats right. ^^
A remaster is not a remake, tbh is great to play this game again with the new textures but still they could have added more stuff.
looks like xbox 360 vs pc
mad skills making the side by side comparison vids in sync...
Burnout Paradise is simply a masterpiece and one of the best games ever made!
THere LITerAlly Almost The SaMe GrAphiCS sO wHy cAnT i rUn BuRnOuT with OuT it RuNnING sLoW
I get it that a remaster isn't going to look as good as a remake but they really could've put more effort into this game... Not really worth 40 bucks but I'll definitely buy it for 20
Waste of money buy the original on ps3 and save !!!!
DAM Motorsports News & race reviews if you have the system. Or buy the PC version and enter mod heaven
Just remember that they remastered the game not remake it, still it’s a shame they didn’t remake it tho
Logan Girard there’s been plenty remasters that actually made a difference enough to buy it. All they needed to do is remaster the shaders, and that’d be fine, but not much even changed in this lol
And buy DLC separately? No thank you
Look at how much better it looks!!! wow!!! so much effort was put into this EPIC remaster!!!
Just kidding.
I can feel every pixel.
How to do a remastered game:
1. *Slightly* turn up color contrast
2. Reel in delusional, nostalgic fanboy money
Some cases, removing fog and applying texture filtering.
I'll stick to the vanity pack, EA can keep their 'remaster'
Alex Tsekot I say they did a pretty good job on remastering the game, if your thinking remastered as remake then I could see you point but it’s not a remake
The only real difference you'll notice if you buy this game is that you'll be a few bucks short.
Amazing montage !
And clearly now i see that re-buying the game is not worst it. Thanks !
Burnout Paradise remastered = original PC version with ENB.
um simples patch resolveria essa diferença, mas atualizações não rendem dinheiro não é mesmo?
The laziest remaster ever. Looks like they spent a week “remastering” this.
Didn't need a remaster, the graphics still hold up today
The main problem with BPR is that the game is bloated and filled with textures that are 4k for no reason and they practically threw all the textures into an ai upscale and called it a day, not to mention the fact that bpr is a pretty broken mess that modders had to fix. It's not a bad game in the slightest, but it should've been handled better.
I'll probably buy it, no real difference between the original and remastered but still looks fun to play again.
(And let's be honest: it doesn't need a graphical change because it still looks new)
That game was so beautiful
That even the remastered can't make it better
Dj, do you think that they more focused on making it more compatible for the Xbox one than they focused on making it look better?
If major difference is any concern, the billboard ads we're completely different, the original has crazy ton of real life ads whereas the remastered version we're completely replaced with fictional in universe one's (most notably look closely at 1:52 and 2:30)
and judging from comments section, it's seems like CoD4 Modern Warfare Remastered spoiled everyone's minds about what was the definition of _remastered_ was sadly...
Thats why the Remaster is Overpriced
dlc's?
@@bandicam-ss8fn yes even with the DLCs , its such an Old Game !
your opinion, no complain
Great video. I really want to get this remastered soon! 💯
i like how just the upscale does so much.
I have over 500 hours in Burnout Paradise for PS3 and about 50 for Burnout Paradise on PS4 and I must say, I actually prefer the lighting on the original version. Not to mention it's less buggy, it has better looking ads on the billboards, two more songs, and a few more cars (the sponsor cars you could get back in 2008)
Edit: I also forgot to mention that the vehicle sprites that you see when choosing a car at the junk yard are all messed up in the remaster.
Remastered one has more hd textures than older one. But according 2008 burnout, we shouldn't be dishonored to it. Still firing after 13 years, in 2021
Next Gen Graphics!!!
poor...after 10 years...releasing a "remastered " version that could be obtained with a graphic patch...and not that of a big difference. This was the best racing game of it's time and remained so in the next years. It could have been the best, again. (sorry for my english)
Burnout 3 Takedown still needs and awesome remaster, come on now! They should've done it by now.
im more impressed by how well the original graphics hold up a decade later
It may not be all that different than the original, but I'm thrilled I can have this game again on my ps4...i got dozens and dozens of hours of enjoyment of this game ...there is always something fun to do different if you get bored...or the best part...just drive with the music up loud....learn your maps. great fun
the difference is like my knowledge from school before quarantine and after quarantine. nothing changed
