    Prov 22:7. One of my favourite verses! We recently moved to a slightly larger home, so that we could have a larger dining room and an office space for the kids (they had to work in the dining table). Although these were valid concerns from my wife, the larger house came with a 200K increase in the mortgage. I am convinced that it is very important to reduce the debt as soon as humanly possible to use resources in other areas instead of paying a bank.
    I am hopeful we can change our government and put in office someone sensible, with reasonable ideas, instead of taxes that do nothing (other than transferring wealth). Why in the world do we have a carbon tax that is used to redistribute money to government employees and low-income people, instead of investing in clean technologies???

    Thank you for putting out this content. I'm in the process of shopping around for a fee for service planner to do some retirement planning (specifically around retirement timing, drawdown, and tax optimization).
    Watching your videos I very much appreciate your common sense attitude towards financial issues, and the way our values align. I've seen other financial influencers who can't even wrap their heads around simple concepts like the relationship between monetary supply and inflation. I would never consider letting such a person touch my finances, but you are quickly earning your way to the top of my list of potential planners to work with, and whom I would trust with important financial decisions.

      Thank you for the kind words. I actually really care about this country. It’s not in a healthy place but I do think we still have incredible potential.

    Please make more videos. Your perspectives is very refreshing
    . There is several topics I would like to get your views about. 1. The fire movement 2. A retirement plan base around a TFSA with $500000.00 and a margin account with $1000000.00 and no RRSP. I have many more topics that I have noticed that no Canadian are talking about. Like how to use the tfsa to leave fund to love one after you pass

      Thanks for the note :)
      I’ll see what I can do about a video that maps out a retirement without RRSPs. I’ll put it in the queue!

    Do you know if this is just income tax or does it include all taxes we pay? GST, PST, Carbon Tax, Excise Tax?

    • @wellbuiltwealth
      @wellbuiltwealth  Год назад +2

      All taxes included. But again, just averages. So might be more or less for you depending on your situation.

    Oh I should have read all the comments 1st.
    @glennmorris6071, asked my question. That makes more sense. My 87 yo Mom and I were just talking today, how our country has changed negatively in the recent decades. But I wouldn't want to bother Trudeau with our problems, he has an important meeting to attend to in Iceland. Can we do a coup while the KING is away? Just asking for a friend. 😂🤣

      No Donald we can't do a coup. How about we all vote at the next federal election. Although I don't see how anyone can't fix this mess!

      New carbon tax starts for everyone July 1st. Feds call it the clean fuel standards, but it equates out to a second carbon tax.
