Very nice. The narrator explained it very clearly. I only hope that they could do a step-by-step demo for each move such as the last move introduced in this video.
I do shorin ryu we also compete against shota con and goju ryu and maybe your style too I go for the exchange of styles though its cool to see what other people do
Overlooked and underrated MA. Because of the odd angles and the constant movement it's hard to defend or hit a Capoeira practitioner. As long as they don't let themselves get caught and tied up. Or taken to the ground. I'd say Capoeira is one of the most effective. So VITAL to have rhythm in the practice. Some watching this mind find it annoying but it's there for a good reason. Something that's missing from all other MA. Can't evade and strike without rhythm. :) Boxers have front back and side to side movement. Footwork. Makes it so effective in full contact. Capoeira moves pretty much in a sphere..360 degrees. I'd like to say it's 2nd to western boxing. What stops it from being on par is that there's no contact when training. So in a real fight....it's hard to gauge distance and now how it feels to make contact. Or know what it feels like to be hit. Know if you can't remain standing and for how long.
wow. nice video. very informative. im not sure whether i could find someone who teaches capoeira in my country. it's really a good thing zalimayaz uploaded this one. thanks! i think im gonna lose weight training like that. x)
What I usually do, is put the kick foot down and then move the foot that whas supporting me behind the other. so you're in one of the base positions of ginga. Or just put you're kick foot immediatly behind the other so you're in the base position. (depends on the kick or ask your mestre. You can see it in this video.
The white guy is capoeira regional prctitioner and the black guy is Capoeira angola practitioner. In regional ginga is fast and smooth whereas in angola look weak and sluggish but powerful
Like many martial arts this one has a history. The awkward moves were originally used that way because the slaves that practiced usually had shackled hands. The West African slaves and the Brazillian slaves were mixed together by the slave owners to keep them culturally confused. It had the opposite effect though as the slaves mixed West African tribal dance with Brazillian and formed Capoeria, which to the slave owers, they thought it was just a game they were playing.
mma is not a style. it's an arbitrary mix, geared for the ring. it's not a martial art, despite the name. it's a sport. either way your comment says nothing coherent.
those guys play little and sweat too much - i love copoeira i didn't see any copoeira in brasil only in salvador i saw some people playing it - does the tricking are same of copoira
+Tran Kien Hi Tran Kien! Thanks, but of course I know that it is traditional capoeira music (I'm portuguese) and I also know what Google is ;-). But I was searching for especially this track. Finally Shazam made it and I found this track :-)
this is good when mixed with other martial arts such as Muay Thai, Tae Kwon Do, ETC... don't get me wrong it is hard to learn takes 20 years to become flexible enough to do mid air kicks and punches!
Hey guys, I have a friend that is a huge fan of this sort of thing. He just created his own facebook page and i was hoping some of you could check out his content. He loves martial arts and is a really good guy. facebook.com/crazykidcraig/
Nothing retarded about it. It's quite effective in many scenarios. However, imho, when we speak high rank comparison between a capoerista and, say, a praying mantis style practitioner, my bet will be on the latter side. Capoeira is very dependent on building a momentum and keeping the rythm, I've never seen a capoeirista deliver a hail of punches or kicks at a lightning speed (show me). Their kicks are slower but carry much mass behind them. Oh higher levels I can see it as a problem.
+Linda Ellis This is terrible training for beginners. I would NEVER recommend this to ANYONE because its so bad. If you go to any capoeira group you'll quickly see that no one plays like this
+Linda Ellis If you look at some stuff by group cordao de ouro (the style I do) its contemporary capoeira that is really nice to watch, or if you're up for something more aggressive and fast (personal taste) then Group Capoeira Senzala or Muzenza are pretty good. There are lots of different styles out there, guess you gotta find the right one for you (and hope they have a group in your town)
this is a great style to learn
OMG! The Panther Classics Capoeira collection! I have the DVD's. I bought them more then 10 years ago.
Very nice. The narrator explained it very clearly. I only hope that they could do a step-by-step demo for each move such as the last move introduced in this video.
Stumbled this today. As a novice beginner in Capoiera, this is very helpful. Thank you very much for this video.
This has really helped me with ,thanks you guys!
Im going to start taking me some classes. Mostly just to get back into shape.
But.... Did you actually go to a class? 2021?
Me too!
2019 still watching???
I have been looking for good videos about capoeira. These videos are great!
This feels like a clip from Reading Rainbow when the teacher didn't want to teach on a half day. Very helpful and nostalgic.
Awesome video!!! I live in new zealand, so we barely ever see this sort of thing...love it!!!!
Thank you so much man for posting this. I searched entire months and now i've found capoeira training thanks man :)
Awesome first lesson has started. I also do Karate Wado Ryu. That is my another ambition to learn basics of Capoeira.
I do shorin ryu we also compete against shota con and goju ryu and maybe your style too I go for the exchange of styles though its cool to see what other people do

That's because it is capoeira
The more uncoordinated the more weight is lost. Inefficiency of movement uses more energy!
Youre right but its not fucking colonized brazil anymore, you can use capoeira to get in shape and training flexibility, not just defense you know
@@C4ioPereira20 it's cool either way
This is just what I was looking for! Training 1..for beginners! !
Thanx buddy, its very helpful in mix martial arts. Cheers from India.

U_U very very bad technique
some seriously ugly capoeira, modern capoeira looks much nicer than this
this is a training for beginners. .fast forward to more advanced techniques & videos if this is too slow or 'ugly' for you.
+Linda Ellis This is terrible training for beginners. I would NEVER recommend this to ANYONE because its so bad. If you go to any capoeira group you'll quickly see that no one plays like this
