Armed with just a mic, her digital sampling foot pedal and a small mixer, Jacqueline Constance turns breaths, sighs and words into funky orchestral pastures for her lyrics to frolic through. Born and raised in Philadelphia, Jacqueline attended the legendary CAPA high school which spawned such artists as The Roots, Boys 2 Men and Amel Larriuex. Drawing inspiration from the jazz legend Ella Fitzgerald, which is apparent in her vocal nuances and soulful timbre, Jacqueline's preparation for her new project has resulted in explorations down new sonic pathways typically uncharted by an "urban artist".
While we're still unable to welcome you into our house, we're excited to present another series of WCL House Concerts with a nod to the centuries-old tradition! We've invited some of your favorite artists from the Philly area, many of whom have played our stages countless times over the years, to share their music virtually. These intimate livestream concerts will premiere on our RUclips channel, directly from the artists' homes to yours.
