This is authentically beautiful. You tried at getting your hands in it. They make it look so simply done you don’t realize it requires so much strength
Kente weaving throughout the centuries and still going strong. They make it look so simple and you tried it yourself. The final products are gorgeous. Zimbo has great talent.
Ghana needs to protect its kente cloth heritage, like France protects champagne! There is WAY too much fake kente out here. 😱 It shouldn't be allowed to be marketed as kente cloth unless it is made in Ghana. Hopefully the Ghanaian government will take this up with the World Trade Organization.
We went to Bonwire for school excursion when I was in my upper primary 😍 I still remember this place like it was yesterday infact thanks Stella for bringing this memories back 🔥🔥
Kente is so beautiful and amazingly you can turn even into ties apart from scarfs, gowns and dresses. Am so bias I prefer wearing our Batakari gowns.🇬🇭🇬🇭🇬🇭🇬🇭🇬🇭🇬🇭🇬🇭🇬🇭🇬🇭🇬🇭🇬🇭🇬🇭🇬🇭🇬🇭🇬🇭🇬🇭🇬🇭
I visited this place in 2016 and it’s not changed except the gutter outside! Lol The cloth is stunning for sure. I love African patterns, so unique. They had a lot more hung up on the walls back then. It was a Sunday when I visited so nobody was working, but this brings the memories back

I schooled in the Ashanti region and I was taught the kente weaving song in twi. Watching him sing brought back primary school memories.
