You really present your videos in a hand holding approach to teach and instruct for us noobs. Please never stop. It is so helpful
I did this to my car, and with the new amp they offer for the M340i too. Noticeably different but mine was also just the standard Hi-Fi version. Bass is drastically different and tweeters are very clean. Top end volume is higher too while still producing a clean sound. My one tip is to pre-purchase some extra door clips (black and white doohickeys) from BMW. They are a couple bucks each and you will break some - or in my case roughly 10 between the four doors before you figure out how to optimally align them when putting the doors back on.
Which amp and speakers did you use to upgrade? Does the upgraded HiFi set up sound better than factory Harman Kardon?
Do you have a part number or a link to the door clips?
This is one of the best install videos I have seen, the directions are clear and visually well done. Might have to do this to mine when I get the urge to modify it.
Absolutely worth it.. I have Alpha Ones in 3 cars and worth it!

I'm glad that BMW made it easy to remove the door panel on the G20. The F30 and E90 was quite difficult.
Currently got a F30 335 at the moment, and the more videos I see of the M340i the more I want to upgrade soon.

Great vid! Which might also bring us to the Bavsound vs BimmerTech debate. It's a shame BMW does not put a little bit more quality into the Harmon K system from the get go. The B&W I spec'd in my 5 series is my favorite option. Nothing but lossless codecs from my USB.

Fun fact, those strong clips on the center speaker are because of MAJOR rattle noises from like every new BMW has produced! =)
Yep! Two week old 330xi and have some sort of vibrating noise coming from dashboard already.

When I need a pick tool around plastic I use electrical tape to cover the pick side because electric tape gives better than other tapes I have used

Any way to do a video on the coupe 2021 G22 install for the rear speakers. Cant find info anywhere. This was great and helped with front.

They use those metal brackets on the center console due to specific frequency vibrations that cause plastic ones to break or pop out. I could get all technical about resonant frequency of the plastics used but yea. That's why the metal brackets!
That and the notorious rattle the F30s had from the HK system on the center channel

The super strong clips on the center speaker shroud are there to stop it rattling when you turn up the volume...duh :-)

Really awesome video (as all of your videos are) with extremely clear and highly professional instructions - thank you!! One question: In the BimmerTech instructions that I received after purchasing the Alpha One speaker set, it stated that the 12V and the 48V batteries and the CAN bus all need to be disconnected before beginning the speaker install. I did not see that done in your video. Can the install be done without disconnecting the two batteries and the CAN bus?
I've changed speakers and fiddled with disconnecting/reconnecting them many times. Never disconnected battery for them. I even disconnected them while music was playing to diagnose rattles. Don't worry about that too much.

These Harman speakers looks like the base speaker that’s in the F series.

Brian, I noticed you did not disconnect the battery before removing the door panels? Would you be ok replacing the speakers without disconnecting the battery in F30 LCI?
Disconnect battery to avoid codes if you accidentally turn ignition on with cables disconnected.
Do you need to disconnect both the 12 V and the 48 V battery - because instructions say to disconnect both? Feel like disconnecting both might in itself cause codes to occur?

I have the standard Hi-Fi in my 2021 330i. If I were to only change either the Speakers or the Amp to the BimmerTech, which would give me the most noticable difference?
I have the same car standard Hi-Fi that you do. I just added the amp a few days ago, and it is definitely better than without the amp and I believe it is a worthwhile upgrade in itself. However, for me the quality is not there yet. Hoping the speaker upgrade brings it to the next level.

For the 2020 X5,is their anyway to make the audio sound more full? it's loud right in front of the seat instead of the audio filling the car. It's super weird and the worst audio I've had in a car.

Yeah, it's a cryin shame ya can't spec a B&W in the new G80/82. This helps, but the weak amp is not addressed.
