In my college English course, one of my classmates chose this song for his textual analysis. In the interest of showing respect to my classmate, I listened to his chosen song. I didn't like it for the oral sodomy references and racial slurs, but I do like this part: "I'd rather have loyalty than love For love really don't mean jack See you can love somebody but still stab them in their back" -and "See loyalty is an action You can love or hate me and still have my back" The artist really sold his argument and I think he communicated his message excellently. It's a very relatable song and I do agree, loyalty is extremely important.
