If anyone wonders, the titles translate to something like this, although it's tough to give an absolute translation and they sound even more poetic in Hungarian:
1 00:00 Fekete mezők - Black fields
2 09:20 Kel keleti szél - Eastern wind rises
3 13:18 Trilobita - Trilobite
4 17:10 Kő koppan - Stone clatters/knocks
5 21:47 Vashegyek - Iron mountains
6 35:57 Holdkomp - Moonferry
7 41:41 Kék ingem lobogó - My blue shirt (is) a flag.
(The common word for flag in Hungarian is "zászló", and "lobogó" is a more poetic, literary word for that. "Lobogó" can be both a noun (flag) and an adjective too: "waving", "streaming", which is of course a feature of a flag, thus getting its other name from the motion it makes, making the meaning both ambiguous and more beautiful.)

Interesting. Portuguese has the same with "bandeira" being a common word for flag, and "flama" a more poetic one. I'm sure you can see the similarity to the English word flame, and the implied meaning of an undulating flame being similar to a flag in the wind.
@@CaptainUnreal Great, and we have that connection between fire and flag too! We sometimes say "Lobognak a lángok" (which means something like "The flames are fluttering."), metaphorically expressing the motion of fire like a flag.
But the most interesting part seems to be that while you use a word derived from "flame" to express "flag", we on the other hand use a word derived from "flag" to describe flames. The exact same logic (or intuition?), just the other way around. Very interesting!

Such a strangely beautiful album. The works of this guy stand as a proof that you can achieve much higher grounds when working as a solo artist and trying to express your artistic vision doing all the creation process by yourself. The metal genre and more specifically black metal are very fortunate to have such amazing solo projects.

This whole record is outstanding.
It can be said that Thy Catafalque sums up the modern-mystical elements of Hungarian poetry at a higher level. It is one of those works that can be understood anywhere in the world - and it is worth understanding. It is particularly interesting for Hungarian speakers that it is spoken in Hungarian (that is, one of the most poetic languages in the world), yet it is the oracle of the entire Western civilization.

this is strangely awesome, I wish understood the lyrics.
That's really sad because the Hungarian language is fairly ornate, so it would be really hard to properly translate these lyrics to English preserving the beauty of these verses.

I think it is unknown for a reason.. and that being the scarcity of the target audience.. It kinda is music for smart people and i dont see an abundance of them these days. Also it is not easy for everyone to listen to it. I know it from experience for I have been trying to make it more popular.. Showing it to people and most of them said it was great stuff but they couldn't listen to this for a long period of time because its complexity is a bit too vexing for people to be able to relax while listening to it properly.

Most of the time people would shut down or tune it out. I've seriously listened to this album over and over again for weeks. Would love to find more gems like this.

+balkanmachine I've had experimental phases like this. Just take a break or enjoy the fast speed. I learn to play songs on the keyboard and then play them faster. Just the way I like it =)
