One heck of a Wurlitzer - but then they always have been known for impressive instruments.

Never heard of this young man before, but what a talent! He's definitely an expert with the sostenuto switch.

Seamus is often a guest organist at Organ Stop Pizza in Mesa, Arizona. He was here for an 8 day gig while Brett was in Chicago, Illinois for the ATOS Convention; Glenn was also touring. Seamus is an amazingly talented and skilled organist; not to mention, a genuinely nice man.

Thats a heck of an organ. It controls a whole bunch of different stuff to make a racket with. Tge machine is only good if it has a good operator...that's in any field! A crane is only good if its operator is ONE with it. A back-hoe or track hoe has to have the operator that is an extension of his hands and feet. Every motion has a smooth as liquid flow movement to it. I can stand for hours and watch the smooth operations going on. It takes years of practice, but it's a site to behold!

What is the title of the 2nd piece in this set? I love the sound registrations Seamus uses for this piece - definitely an Oriental flare.

      Caravan

@@johnhodgdon3767 Thank you. I know the piece, just could not think of the name. Of course, I recall the piece as played by Carlos Santana on the Abraxys album. Definitely like Seamus' rendition as well.

First song was "Take the A-Train." Second song was "Little Street in Singapore"

Nope, despite the gong intro and Oriental motif (which WAS used in "Little Street in Singapore"), the second selection was "Caravan." One might suggest that Seamus "borrowed" the background style of "Little Street" to apply it to "Caravan."

I have since talked to Seamus when he was performing at Organ Stop Pizza in Mesa, Arizona. You are correct, he used the gong and background style of "Little Street" and applied it to Caravan to give the piece a different flavor.
If one thinks it sounds good on the Carma Labs Wurlitzer, you should hear it performed on the Organ Stop Pizza Wurlitzer where the building was built for the instrument... It is 3D surround sound!
