as a pitmaster myself, with many kamado, griddles and fire pits at my outdoor kitchen I must say this traveler competes with all of them at a fraction of the cost. I can't believe the flavor it produced on burgers which I smoked first then seared. Awesome product and a great job on that wonderful looking (and tasting I'm sure) flank steak my friend, great work
I just ordered mine today. We have a smoker for our home we use a lot. But we miss it when we camp. Ours will go in our 5th wheel and it will give us a great solution for all summer on the road. Your flank steak sure looked good. Nice job.
Mine was ordered and coming this Friday, can't wait.. Nice video.. thanks.. Wife says, "another barbeque? Lol.. No honey its a smoker.. You can never have too many toys! 😄
How is it?
It's a great little smoker. I just need it for my wife and me and it's perfect. Will still feed alot of people. You can fit 2 tri tips, and a large pork butt no problem.
Love it. Would love to see a video on a thick meat like a brisket, prime rib, or st. Louis ribs. Cooking for one at home... I think this might be perfect for me. Thanks.
I never heard the auger. You? Love it.
That looks very compact perfect for camping
Do they make a stainless model
I haven’t seen it in stainless.
Mine is less than a year old and already the auger stopped working. I use it two to three times a week, maybe it can't handle it. Anyway,be warned.
🤣🤣Probably clogged up with pellets bud, don't blame the cooker blame the operator.
@@chuckychuck Dude, don't you think checking for it being clogged would be the first thing I'd check?
@@deanreutter3101 Did you ever get it working again?
@@grayboo212 I did but I had to remove the metal plate that covers the fan. As the auger is loading it moves around causing the fan to stop as it hits the plate, lock up and stop the auger from loading pellets. So it now works but I can't put the fan cover back on or I'll have the same problem.
Thinking about getting one for my Jeep as well. How long does the 3.5lb pellets last on smoke 225-300°
Usually it will burn about 1/2 lb per hour on low, and 3 pounds per hour on the highest settings, so I’d extrapolate you’d get an hour to an hour and a half out of one fill at 300°. This is obviously just an approximation, since I primarily grill at 350 and up and don’t do a ton of long-term smoking on the trail.
Why such high heat?
No smoke rings
He didn't let it sit in the smoke setting .I ussually let it sit in smoke setting 30 min .then crank on 450 or high to give a quick sear to 140 degrees meat temp
You make some Big meat cuts on this BBQ?
Biggest I’ve done is a 4 lb flank steak and some 1.5” thick steaks.
I don’t see much char on that Flank
It’s wasn’t supposed to for this meal, sorry!😎
