Man with 'edged weapon' shot dead after 3 interactions with police

Investigators said officers shot the man after three interactions with him over a period of about 30 minutes.
Police said the man was wielding an "edged weapon," and was walking toward oncoming traffic when an officer tried to use a Taser gun on him. That didn't slow him down, and the confrontation escalated.
The man who was shot dead has not been identified. Investigators said only that he was Hispanic, and ignored commands from officers in both English and Spanish.
