  • Greetings to all of you wonderful individuals! We trust that you enjoyed our inaugural episode.
In this segment, we feature Lhamo Choedon, the visionary behind the Chisem Foundation, which she established with the support of her friends. Lhamo, a psychology student, recognized the significance of mental health awareness during her academic journey, prompting her to initiate Chisem. Through Chisem, she aims to enhance her own understanding of mental health and extend this knowledge to the Tibetan community. Over time, Chisem has organized numerous engaging in-person and virtual events, while also advocating for Tibetan identity and culture.

Thank you ❤. Today’s Tibetan Youth are proactive and very much involved or wants to get involved. We as Older Tibetan should provide the platform and help.
Parents have a huge responsibility in shaping up their kids life. Speaking in Tibetan and thinking in Tibetan will mold our youth in right direction. Kudos to Bodja and many like them. ❤

As tibetan that grew up in a very isolated location(north eastern USA) from tibetan culture apart from my first 9 years of my age. I have battle mental illness my entire life ever since i got here i never fully fit in w the tibetan crowd and the western society. The stigma especially in tibetan communities to even mentioning mental health as a problem we face as a society will be our downfall, if we are not willing to acknowledge and face our issues head on we will pass it on to the next generation. We must become the anseteral father and mother that will stand tall and look back and repair ourselves and other in the name of humanity. Darkness only prevails when the last human has given up hope. I hope everyone finds a sense of peace in their life, we are lucky we get to understand the concept of emptiness and that we are unique but also replaceable. Destroying ones ego really does enable one to live life to the fullest.

Tashi Delek! I'm sorry you had to go through what you had to go through. I wish I could have been there with you and for you. I hope you have found a place within the Tibetan and/or western society that brings you joy. And yes, I completely agree. We must be the change that we want to see in our community and society. And it starts off with conversations like these. And also with people like you that have enough strength in your heart to be vulnerable. Together, I hope we can share the wisdom of emptiness and the value of compassion to our young Tibetan brothers, sisters and slowly to the rest of the world. Please reach out if you ever want to chat.

If you want others to be happy kind and if want yourself to be happy be kind. Helping others benefits your mental health for sure by feeling good and all but still, it's not sure whether others feel helped or not. If you helped by expecting in return is a mental trade.Try to help without trade that gives good mental health and good virtues.
