Gents initially I thought it was a Citizen Orca!😵💫🤣 Yep, gotta be the ugliest Omega ever!🤮 That’s saying something as I own a vintage Seamaster & a vintage Speedy!
Just discovered your channel Jorge. Excellent stuff. I have been wearing an X33 as my work watch for years. Just measured it with Verniers and at its widest it too is 47mm. I have a 6 and a half inch wrist and can still get away with wearing it without it looking massive. It's just under 15mm thick. The lack of water resistance is down to the sound box on the back of the watch. It has holes in to let more sound out for the Alarm function.
Thank you so much for the kind words!! The x33's rated diameter is 45mm so the new regatta has almost 2mm extra in the rated diameter. I get the sound box effects things but something with the seamaster name, in 2024, being 50m WR is pretty crap
I think it's very cool, but I'm definitely not the enthusiast that would spend that much on it. At that size, it should definitely have been made more water resistant. Chonkier than my Aquatimer 2000.
@@WatchYourselfJorge I think one could argue that a maximally approachable design would be more "half hearted", whereas this would be more bold. I mean, the AC SMP 300 exists, and it's effectively the same as the Tokyo Olympics one with a bit of red.
@@EdwardViaTomato you have a point, and I agree actually about the AC 300M now you've pointed it out.. Buuuut this is still (subjectively) very ugly and lacking in water resistance massively
As a watch made for sailing its actually great for timing starts. A sailor in the americas cup wouldnt wear a dopey mechanical watch. Why use tech from 40 years ago in whats essentially a technology showcase where 2 ton boats are flying at faster than wind speed on hydrofoils. The sailors dont go swimming unless they crash in which case their day of racing is done anyways 😂
okay features wise it might be good. and I'm not arguing against it being quartz with a digital display. I have three main complaints. Its UGLY. Its GIANT and it doesn't even have a very good WR rating to even begin to justify being that big.
I'm sorry this video ruined your purchase experience but if my opinion can change your feeling on the watch so much it may be the case you never loved it to begin with. Ignore me, love your new watch. This is a silly video based on my worthless opinion.

Honestly all round terrible

To be fair, if you're wearing a yachting watch for yachting and it's submerged more than 50 meters, you're probably dead☠️
True 🤣 but still not enough to make the watch properly usable as a seamaster
Quartz is the new mechanical baby
Is it tho?
@@WatchYourselfJorge 😬😬
One things for sure, no one can call it boring
That's the nicest thing I can say about it 🤣
And the 300M is basically a Tokyo 2020 clone
thats actually a great point 😂😂😂

function wise it might be cool but it feels super half hearted in execution and its also just plain ugly

Stop these special editions and give us an updated Seamaster already
what would you change about the current 300m?
I love Omega but what the heck is that
It's bad. Ugly. Poor. Shite.
I guess they are allowed to have a miss after the new Aqua Terra and the upcoming Seamaster...
Agreed! They've been on a run. But this is still stinky
7k for a Casio😭
A bad Casio.
I will just get a g-shock
Can't blame you for that 🤣
That's a lot of monaay for a digital watch
it is. ALOT
Just bought one..Thanks for ruining my purchase experience..x

Damn this watch is what id call -- poo poo
A steaming pile of poo poo. Lots of flies. Stinks lines. The works.
