Nice pickups! The Apartment and, especially for me, The Mark of Zorro are excellent. I picked up the following from the sale: The Paleface Road to Bali Road to Rio Road to Zanzibar Road to Utopia Road to Singapore Road to Morocco The Ghost Breakers The Cat and the Canary Tomb of Ligeia One Million Years B.C. X: The Man with the X-Ray Eyes Curse of the Undead The Party The Last Man on Earth Lifeboat The Raven The Sacrifice White Zombie Phantom of the Opera I went a little crazy.
Wow man, awesome haul! Thanks for sharing. I picked up One Million Years BC a few months back. Such a fun movie. And I’m strongly considering getting The Last Man on Earth soon.
New to the channel just subbed, haven't seen any of these but love the time period that there from,Kino is one of my favorite companies to collect love when they do there sales I always try to get something, keep up the great work look forward to checking out your other videos.
I didn't get anything from this particular sale but I got The Apartment 4k a while back and God. What a gorgeous movie. I looked on Kino's site and saw that they also have Some Like it Hot on 4k which I have the Criterion bluray of. I wish I would have known! Ah well. I am getting the 4k Criterion of Double Indemnity which I'm pretty excited about. Wilder is amazing. If I do take advantage of this sale before it's too late I might get For a Few Dollars More and Touch of Evil.
Yeah I’m debating whether I should get the Criterion or 4K release of Some Like it Hot. I want the Criterion edition for my collection, but these 4K Kino slipcovers do look awesome. And the 4K is only $14.99 which is crazy!
@@FilmsByColor Considering the 4k is the exact same transfer as the Criterion I'd say that Kino's probably easily outweighs Criterion on picture quality which is one of my main interests when purchasing a movie. I don't particularly care much about slip covers (although Kino's tendency to just discontinue them is annoying) but that's just me. I'd say go for Kino first and then if you really feel the urge, go for Criterion to add to your collection later.
