They said they will announce their unit name once they debuted at the end of the year. "New team" is their pre-debut name. Im cheering for Yushi, Riku and Sakuya

Hi, thank you for reacting to the little neos 😄 this is pre-debut song & NCT New Team is tentative/temporary name, they will announce their official name before their debut in 2024.
from what i understand, the neon green blob is the symbolism of being an NCT member, as NCT's official color is neon green (or as the fandom calls it, neon pearl champagne.) so the video is about them transitioning from being regular people into members of NCT. but thats just my interpretation. it could be an entirely different theme 🤣
that's interesting and a good idea... except the only part that throws me off is how hard they tried to run away and fight it LOL and the baseball they launched at the end to explode the green blob already has "NCT" written on it
@@KY-jd1nl yeah i get what you mean. it also threw me off haha. but theres no way that using neon green was just a coincidence. in the ending scene the ball even turned green, but idk, for all we know the mv isnt even that deep haha

They might also be trying to tie it in with aespa's new chapter (where the real world is glitching), but again could be a stretch
I also thought that the green blobs were the neo hyungs coming to greet them, but babies got scare of all their craziness and try to "destroy" them, but at the end, babies got the green fog on them, making them neos 🤗
I've thought about this too! i kinda feel like maybe them running away from that monster/becoming NCT could be them maybe denying the fact that they wanted to be idols because it isnt a traditional career path. and in the end everyone says "oh he was just dreaming!" but then we see the green glow on the baseball. i interpreted it like even though its a dream, its always there

Yay! Thank you for checking out the Neo babies! This is their pre-debut track and they are set to debut early next year with their final team name. If you're interested, I highly suggest you check out the survival show NCT Lastart, from which the final lineup was formed. The boys were judged by SM senior artists and SM staff, as well as mentored by other SM senior artists prior to their performances and it was just so fascinating to be shown an inside look at how they train their kids over there and choose their debut lineups. Various SM artists over the years have mentioned how they were chosen to debut, and surprisingly NCT Lastart was freakishly similar, only with a fancy TV production.

the baseball is a symbolism of something, tho I don't know what it means. NCT 127's 'Punch' MV (baseball bat), NCT U's 'Work It' MV (baseball field), NCT U's 'Universe (Lets Play Ball )' MV (back alley baseball), NCT 2021 'Beautiful' MV (playing baseball), NCT 127's 'Fact Check' MV (baseball bat), and now this new team have it too.
This MV having some kind of storyline threw me off coz almost all NCT MVs don't have a storyline, just some abstract underlying hint of NCT's lore, which the new team is connected with the rest of NCT somehow through their dreams. The train is also meaningful with SM's lore, that's how all SM artists are connected using the train symbolism.
