- 坤等經過高等法院審判，坤被判入獄四年，龍被判入獄九年，麥則判入獄三年。暉從電視新聞中知道了這個消息，也默默無言，雖然坤過去曾作惡多端，但畢竟是中了壞人圈套。暉明白到坤也曾經欲改過，但可惜泥足深陷，不能自拔，對坤今天的如此下場，暉內心感慨萬千。
坤要求見熹一面，將藥廠還交給熹，但熹卻拒絕接受，因為是自己無能力守業才失敗，他不會貿貿然重返藥廠的，但坤盛意拳拳，為了彌補和原諒自己的過失，他是極希望熹能重掌世坤堂，將容家事業發揚光大，熹無奈只好答應下來，還要找暉來合作，但暉有藥房生意打理，無法兼顧，他取笑熹可與雯合作，夫妻拍檔。
熹與雯兩人的感情日深，熹也正式向雯提出婚事，二人擇日訂婚，在一片吉慶聲中，芳想到暉與茜二人的事，便向暉問清楚他的想法。暉謂自己斷不可能與茜結合，彤的死乃因他們兩人所致，見了茜就會令他想起已死的彤，茜失意之餘，只好到外國散心去。另一方面，成與珍寵下女嬰，鵬高興不已。

I watch this drama when i am a teenager. I am very captivated with this story drama. A very strong meaningful family story drama👍the song of the drama is really touch through your heart.
Maybe it can be interpreted as the difference when one is exposed to the western culture (the father and the son can be deemed as have received substantial western influence)

I have been looking for this drama for the longest time. I was a kid when this drama was broadcasted. Watching this takes me back to a much simpler time and place in which I've cherished... Many of the actors and actresses have since passed away 😢. Makes me sad and brings me to tears.

They need to explain why the grandfather was so nice to his son in law's other family. The wife's animosity is understandable. As OBE/MBE, no matter how nice he was, surely he cared family reputation. Also, why did he not tell his daughter to behave herself?

I agree. Chow Yun Fat is an excellent actor. So is Do Do. Both remain my no. 1 onscreen couple. If we watch other dramas and movies that they act, it can be seen that they adapted to different roles really well
