Really like the look of this awning. I feel it could be improved with built in supporting legs for bad weather. It rains all the time in Ireland/UK and its frequently windy. Poles are needed in most cases. One thing I was disappointed about, and to be honest its really common with South African products from many suppliers, is the quality and care taken when stitching. When you do the close-up of the rear arm showing the "7 layers", you can clearly see the stitching is off. I've seen it on multiple Bundutec products and on the big Country Ostrich Wing.
Very nice awning, just installed mine a few days ago and this thing is solid! The bag isn't super large though, you've still got to fold it up really tight and neat to close the zip. Not in a bad way. What was the reason for removing the silver laminate on the top surface may I ask?
Hi, we stopped using the silver coating on our awnings back in Feb 2021 as it was not performing as expected, it does say that in the description of the video and also on the website, and a new video is coming very shortly.
What are the visual differences in the MK 2 version? If I were to go to my local dealer, how would I know if the model they have in stock is the older or newer version?
Hi Richard, the 270 XT Mk2 has the same footprint as the original 270 XT. If you want something larger, we do the 270 XT MAX which has a 12sqm shade area.
@@TheBushCompany yeah I actually have that one on order and arriving end of September! But I have just decided to downsize to the standard xt. What’s the biggest difference between the mk 1 and mk 2? How come you got rid of the silver heat layer?
Hi, we do sell to NZ, but you would need to organise your own freight. The following are the details of the shipping agent we recommend Jules Smibert Global Supply Chain Specialist jules.smibert@itm.com.au Direct line: +61 7 33636736 Cell: +61 418 786 440
The bush company, nothing on the market comes close to the quality they produce. Love my Bush Company gear !
Awesome !!!
I can attest to the quality if these awnings, if you're on the fence about getting one you won't be disappointed.
Good to here Mel got one ordered awaiting arrival 😁
Beautiful
Nice mate, very nice.

Could one of these MK2 awnings be mounted to the side of a GoFastCamper RTT? If so, what additional hardware if any would be required to do so?
What about the canopy door? Will it open up without interference?
Does it fit on a 5th gen 4Runner, can the rear hatch open without obstruction?
Is there way to make a bug net enclosure with this awning?

Hi James, it was not performing to our expectations. By getting rid of it we were able to go back to a thicker and more abrasion resistant canvas.
I noticed that this awning doesn't have that aluminium on the top like you have on the 270 max. Are they optional or is that only for the max

Now that’s an awning. 👍🍺

Hi Doc, the key difference is that we no longer use the silver laminate coating on the topside of the awning canvas in the Mk2 model.
You need to release the shower cube so i can throw my QuickPitch shower cube in the trash!!!
It is coming very soon we promise :)
Hi I'm looking at buying at XT, but I'd like to know how far they come out from the side and rear of vehicle.
Thanks
Mick
Hi Mick, take a look on our website, there is a line drawing that shows the exact coverage of the awning when open.
@@TheBushCompany ok thanks
Does this come with separate walls if needed for a little privacy?...thanks
Hi Brett, the wall kits will be available from early October.
@@TheBushCompany thanks, that is good news
@@TheBushCompany glad to hear that, although my distributor told me not till the first of the year...
Is there a difference in size between the mk2 and standard xt ?
