Heather, I seriously love your channel. It’s got me thinking of project I normally wouldn’t do or haven’t tried. I think your an awesome creative person. Your journals are gorgeous. Tfs❤
I love my hydrangeas . I have one that was from a cutting that I have been growing it for over twenty years from curttings from when I moved house. I’m in Aussie so it gets very hot here. I grow mine in the shaded areas. You can change the colour of the flowers by changing the makeup of the soil. Mine sometimes come out purple but this year they are pinks. TFS I love this video.👍🏻👍🏻
I know this video is old but it still brought me some inspiration to do a garden journal similar to this wish me luck on the similar binding you use thanks
Hi Heather, I recently found your channel and I'm loving all creations! If you need any info about hydrangeas, I may be able to help. Feel free to message me if you need to. Regular hydrangeas like the ones you are wanting to grow, they grow on old wood. Which means that the growth they put out this year, that wood is where the blooms for next year will be. So make sure that you aren't clipping off anything from the current year before next year. You can always trim your hydrangeas just a little right after they bloom and that's the best time for them. They are heavy feeders, which means they need a lot of fertilizer. And if the soil is acidic, you will have blue hydrangeas. If it is alkaline, you will have pink. If you want the blue, add aluminum sulfate to your soil, and if you want the pink, you can add garden lime. This all depends on your soil though, so you may need to do a ph test if you don't know what kind you have. If you buy a white hydrangea, it will stay white. And your endless summer, those bloom a lot because they bloom on old AND new wood. So if you cut the plant this year at any time, it will still bloom on the new wood grown after that. That's why they are a popular hydrangea. I hope some of this helps you so that you can have beautiful blooms to take pictures of for your journal and remember them each time you work in it. Keep making beautiful journals, they are so lovely to see!
Thank you so so much Katherine!! This is a wealth of knowledge.. I have read a little bit up on it, but I am going to try the tips you mentioned. I so appreciate you taking the time to share with me! 💜
Great idea fir my next journal. As far as your hydrangea there c are 2 types in the sense of cutting back one c as is to the ground the Other is trimming the tops if done at wrong time it will not bloom. They also like no more than morning sun.check with a nursery as to which is which not Lowes etc
That journal is so cute. Love the idea of using words from the magazine. Including a picture of your wedding hydrangea in bloom would be priceless...❤️
Such a gorgeous journal! I love the way you bound it. I'm definitely going to bind my next one that way. I hope you decide to make up some fabric packs with that dotted swiss! And another vintage wallpaper pack. Hint hint.
Oh I loved your journal pages Heather so beautiful, I adore Hydrangeas and are lucky to have 7 bush’s currently in lilac magenta’s and soft blues, so I think I’m going to start a garden journal also using a lot of your digitals and have Amity’s also, yay thanks for the inspiration
Hi Nancy! Those stamps I got at Joanne fabrics in the dollar bins in the craft section where they have all the little notebooks and different things under $5 .. the stamp size is about .37 of an inch. They are pretty tiny! I just noticed joanne has another set by American crafts in the typewriter font maybe just a tad bigger than these. If you google american crafts mini alphabet stamp set you should find it. 😊
Glad you discovered the endless summer hydrangea….one of my favorites 🤍🤍🤍
Wonderful idea! I love flowers, gardening and journal. Perfect!! Blessings.

Heather, What letter stamps, (size?) are you using for your words that you stamp out on fabric? They look like a typewriter font.
