This is such a simple concept for an anime, but I'm really enjoying this. The idea of just your average Joe that literally has a never-ending grocery store in his inventory it's kind of hilarious.

@@putujovano1451 yea just like how overseas bros never taste the real asian spiciness, like real SEA spiciness. Like you go to japan- and their most spicy food are actually just cold mild. India, Philippines, Indonesia, Malay, and the rest are the real deal.
And the original use of spices was to cover up the smell of slightly rancid meat, most meat was smoked backed then and food preservation wasn't great so to cover up the bad taste and smells spices were used, cloves of garlic being hung, same with onions
Fel gets annoyed at his weakness and after Fel's spartan training and bribing this worlds gods MC actually is fairly strong himself, but considering all his familiars are living catastrophes and his meek nature his strength is overlooked.
So he's basically ends up the Hercule of the Dragon Ball universe: Is one of the strongest people on the planet, but has friends who can explode the planet; and often provides food for said planet-busting friends.
Bit of a spoiler but later during a dungeon run they all are so overpowered they intentionally trip all the traps in the dungeon so adventurers that follow won't be killed by them. That panel lives rent free in my brain forever. 😆
Really wish multiple smaller studios would combine together to really push the production quality on some of these isekais. It's unfortunate that a lot of the top animating talent go to your run-of-the-mill shounen plots, rather than slice-of-life's like these where the details really count. Still, I have to be grateful for the beautiful way the animators made these characters; vibrant color palettes, fine details like sauce stains, good use of lighting to depict food, etc. It's a lot of work for what probably will be one of the overlooked isekais this season, but it does the source material a lot of justice with the budget and constraints considered.
Overlooked?? I would say it's doing much better in Japan .....it's already in #18 on oricon top 20 most selling manga of January and 10th in top 10 most selling light novel in just 4 episodes It's already W for mappa as they also invested 100% on it like csm and this project is mostly done by in-house employees so good for them to gain more experience like takahiro debut as a storyboarder for ep 3
They did an outstanding job of animating most of the cooking scenes. (The serious foodie moments, that is, not the toss food into Fel's mouth at comical high speed.) It looks so real, and so *consistently* real from moment to moment, I suspect the animators literally traced over actual video of someone preparing a similar cut of meat, etc. I have never seen such continuity-intact perfection in what the inside of a highly marblized chunk of fatty beef DOES look like, before this series. Every cut into the roast, I genuinely believe I'm looking at real ribbons of fat being exposed with each slice!
I would love more Isekai concepts where instead of reincarnating as an adventurer, you do professions like fantasy blacksmiths, traders/sellers, cooks, doctors, scolars, etc. I would be a doctor wearing plague doctor outfit. Or a cook looking like Braum from LoL
Absolutely! There is already one about farming( even.though it quickly devolves into a harem anime) and a pretty decent adventure anime involving a pharmacist getting isekaied into being a magical doctor. Cannot recall their names. I would definitely love to see an anime involving becoming a craftsman using rare materials from monsters. Blacksmith, jeweler, or sculptor would be fun.

Him being about 10 really help push away the romance for at least the next in show 4 years. He keeps discovering more and more different slimes and new uses for them. And resulting in gaining more and more connections in the communitys he joins
I really love how FANTASTIC the artwork is for all of the cooking scenes! The animation team for this series truly captured the sheer levels of Pure Foodie from the light novels!
Its really incredible how amazing the cgi is during the cooking scenes, it's really unnoticable, even having watched the whole anime about 5 times over now
Saw some behind the scenes clips, and one of the secrets is they actually hired a filming company that specializes in filming cooking shows to film footage of the dishes being made, and then they recreated that in the anime. Not sure if 1-on-1 rotoscoped, but it explains why everything looks so appetizing.
Damn it now I can't let go of the feeling wanting bayashi to be reincarnated in this anime too, imagine himself cooking and eating portions beyond fenrir

Fun fact: In the original light novel and manga series, they had to use bland name products of actual foods and services (Like Bepsi), but for the anime, they got sponsored by the actual food manufacturers to use the products in the show (they could actually call it Pepsi complete with logo and everything).

One of the major differences between wolves and dogs is that wolves can't digest starch. It won't harm them, but it'll pass through their system without getting used. Probably rather quickly, so it's a good thing Fen is staying outside!
This is one of my favorite anime right now there is a lot of reincarnation & summon to another world anime that’s coming out in 2023, but this one by far has the one the most unique storyline highly recommend everybody to watch this, just don’t watch it on empty stomach❤❤❤
im down for this kind of chill isekai lol. i had enough with these bootleg isekai OVERPOWERED MC and quickly turn into harem route. that isekai vending machine i also enjoyed it lol

I don't watch this anime, but I can't resist to watch a clip when YT drops one among my recommended videos. I found them hilarious, because if my ears are not deceiving me Fel's voice actor is the same who plays Ains from Overlord.

Something I'm surprised about this anime is the stuff he buys and stores doesn't seem to degrade. Or maybe he just uses it immediately before it does.
His infinite storage thing keeps items in a state of stasis. So anything put in it won’t decay
Time is frozen inside of his Item Box, so it's basically a freezer on top of being a storage device.
