Neil Robertson is right. The £147k bonus should be brought back for a maximum (shared if done more than once). It's an elite level achievement in a very tough sport.
The reason that the prize is lower is because a 147 is so easy to achieve for the top players now. There's one almost every tournament. One has already been made in qualifying. Just a stupid statement to be honest.
I'm sure if Betfred gave up 100k he'd get it back from bets

I agree it should be £147,000. There has only been 11 in 40 years after all, so still a rarity at the World Championship. My only contention would be to make it £132k bonus on top of the £15k highest break prize so it's a £147k total. I never understood why it was never like that.

Ronnie is always the centre of attraction and snooker is directly associated with Ronnie for those who are not well versed with the sport. He is an entertainer and let's just put it this way; without him snooker won't be dat fun.
Many players have defeated him but nobody comes close to him in terms of public stature. He is the face of Snooker.

I hate to see all the attention given to Ronnie, I love his play, but also think Neil has been wonderful as well as John Higgins and Mark both in very good form. Selby and Trump in a long format are wonderful...

I.do get you but Ronnie is just a buzz for people, the guy is such an allure for people. People like me know Williams and Robertson are great personalities and Selby is such a great player and the average fan just doesn't get him. Ronnie brings it all together like it or not he adds a lot to these players and he is now number 1 in the world !

Wilson looks like he'd rather be anywhere else in the world. He should be enjoying every second, because once it's taken away, it must be awful. Look at poor Jimmy White. What he would give to be back at the Crucible and in contention again, as opposed to scrapping it out in the qualifiers. Every year that goes past, it gets more difficult for him to make it back.

Then Ronnie said he doesn't find that record to be important to him because "that" Ronnie who he was at the time was not a complete snooker player and was not capable of winning the world championship.
Then the question was asked "Has anyone ever tried in practice?"
Then Neil said, if you are running around the table that fast in a professional game trying to beat that record, you have a higher chance of missing and it was an amazing accomplishment, even watching it to this day.

Selby is suffering from depression lately, that's probably why.
It looks likes Selby has put on a little bit of weight while Ronnie runs a lot, that could make several years of difference, just compare higgins now to 2 years or so ago where he was quite a bit bigger and looked older than now.
