    I'm returning to piano after a seven year absence, and I've been doing research into piano technique to help me reach my virtuoso goals. This entire channel is a gold mine of useful and clear information - thank you! Your explanations and close-up demonstrations are excellent.

      I'm so glad you found this topic helpful!! I really believe it is the most important for pianists to learn to relax when we play.

    You're quite possibly the sexiest pianist I have ever discovered, with thanks to my interest in buying a Yamaha P-515, which you put up detailed and informative videos of.
    Keep up the excellent work and your amazing hair.

    I need to practice this release method. I think that’s where most of my strain is coming from since I don’t “release”

    • @Dariafortepiano
      @Dariafortepiano  8 месяцев назад

      Absolutely! That is a very good assumption. It is likely to accumulate tension, I would say unavoidable if we do not learn to release. 👍

    I've bought the book and this video is so tremendously helpful! I can't thank you enough! Now i know why the prelude in C destroyed my wrists! It's frustrating to stay away from practicing compositions but i hope I'll get better at doing these exercises and then start again! Thanks thanks thanks a million!!

    • @Dariafortepiano
      @Dariafortepiano  Год назад +2

      I'm so glad it's working for you, I hope you will get into good habits quickly, and your wrist feels better soon! You don't have to stop playing your pieces. Just play it slowly, keeping in mind the gestures you are learning from the book. It starts with awareness of what is wrong and with the habit of making it right.👍 good luck!

    A great piano channel I found and instantly had to subscribed to, I can't wait to go through all of these videos. Do you also have any plans on making a video on developing scales, I really want to reach 160bpm 4 notes per click someday.. Thank you and my best wishes 😊

      Hi! Thanks so much for your kind words and for subscribing!! Sorry I'm so late with the response. I took your scale video suggestion into consideration, and will be making one in the next few weeks. Stay tuned! And beat of luck with tour piano studies!!👍🙂

    Thank you, I will pay attention to this, although for me being a beginner it is a little difficult to implement it, but I will keep it in mind as something to do. Is this one of the reasons why pianists look like they are hardly exerting their hands and fingers?

  • @flappybird315
    @flappybird315 9 месяцев назад

    Is it useful to let the action push our finger up instead of pulling it up manually during slower legato? Thanks.

    Serious question is the Roland fp 10 good like does it sound well or if I just want a digital piano to play on and not extra features that under 700 which should I buy

    • @Dariafortepiano
      @Dariafortepiano  Год назад +1

      Hey, you know , I have never tried FP 10, but I have owned FP 30 before for a couple years before I got the p515, and it was decent. Not as nuanced as p515 of course, and different keys feeling, but it's weighted, and sounds was decent, I remember I chose it over rthe yamaha p125, for some reason. I think I liked the key mechanism better on the fp 30. It's around $750 just the keyboard, but I think based on specs it's much better than fp 10, if you can afford it. Best of luck!
