Olivia, what a month! I enjoy every video I've watched of yours. Your projects are an inspiration to me. My daughte,45, on Mon, 2/5, survived an 11 hour open heart surgery, that was much more than the drs. expected. She had had cancer at 21 years old and the chemo and radiation damaged her heart and lungs. Every day she has been improving steadily . We are so very thankful. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
Hi Olivia! I definitely hope February goes better for you... great video while sharing your thoughts and plans with us. Planning is part of the fun, right? But when we want to stitch and sew "ALL" the things I get overwhelmed 😮! The Wedding Ring and Dresden Plate are my bucket list quilts. Until next time, happy stitching 🪡❌🪡
Olivia, kudos to you for staying positive. I, like so many of us, have had a difficult year in 2023 and it’s been a challenging January. But rather than share the gruesome details, I am so grateful to be alive and to keep growing in the year 2024. Each day is truly a gift and I treasure each one. Fill each day with your own creative journey. Everything else will work out in its own time.
Thank you for sharing your beautiful projects! I love the verse on ‘Live On Little’. After a rough start to the new year hopefully everything will be clear sailing from now on! ♥️ I hope that your Longarm will be an easy fix. 🤞🏻
Jack’s Bash is gorgeous! And I love that crow. 💚 We had to get a new dishwasher recently, too. We couldn’t find anyone who was willing to even come out to look at the 7yo one to fix it, grr.
The Raven is a fabulous Quilt! Needle turn appliqué is the traditional style of appliqué. And when you go out to lunch and the long tooth picks you get stuck in your sandwich, save them! Best FREE tool for turning your fabric and a glue stick. My 80 year old Quilting ladies taught me Needle turn. Try it, you may surprise yourself and enjoy the process…
I was so excited to see you have a new video up. I love seeing your red sample quilt. I almost did the sew along but worried all the different reds I had wouldn’t end up working together. But yours works with the different reds and backgrounds. I may need to go back and make that quilt. Thanks for the inspiration!
It's horrible how short a life span our "modern" appliances have. We've had to replace a refrigerator 4 times in 25 years. I think my grandmother's refrigerator was over 50 years old and outlived her! I'm clinging to my 30 year old washing machine that's only needed 2 repairs in all those years. I hear horror stories about the newer washing machines 😂. Sorry so many things broke on you at once😢. That's how it always goes, right? You'll get a big YES from me to a Baltimore Album Quilt. I'm not a quilter...just a big admirer...but those Baltimore Album Quilts are just stunning! Loved seeing all your stitching today! The red quilt behind you is a beauty!
Always enjoy your videos Olivia, the cross stitch and quilting. Hope your quilting machine isn’t a major fix. All the best for the next couple of weeks and you have good news in your next video x
So sorry you are having a hard time. Our water pump in our well went a few months ago, it was super cold but hadn't snowed yet. Thankfully it wasn't too bad to replace. I hope your quilting machine is an easy fix and you can finish your quilt. your star quilt a t the beginning of your video is beautiful. The bird turned out great and I love the strawberry pin keep too. I enjoy your videos so much.
Olivia wonderful video as always! Our dishwasher went kaput after 4 years. They don’t make them like they used to. Sorry for a yucky January, but God! Prayers and here’s to a happy February 🎉❤
I know things are really hard.....But you make my day!! You are strong and contribute so much to your family! You are so dedicated and that counts in a big way!!
So sorry to hear about the numerous technology challenges you've been facing. I will keep my fingers crossed that your long arm can be fixed cheaply and quickly! Your Jack's Bash finish is fabulous!
I will pray that your machine is just an easy fix. There is a song that says "If it matters to you, it matters to the Master" and I think that fits here extremely well. Thank you so much for all the content you present. I always look forward to every other Saturday morning!
The site is Americana quilting. She made a stunning log cabin quilt with Edita Sitars cocoa pink fabric. For the longarmer who had a problem with her long arm.
I have had a mystery week with my 5.5yo son Leo. When I pick him up I always ask him what he ate for lunch. On Tuesday he said "applesauce." I was shocked since he eats breakfast at 730am and then lunch at 11am and finally gets picked up at 4pm. APPLESAUCE! Then yesterday I asked him after picking up and his response was "rice..." "rice and what honey, what meat?" "...uuuhhh rice and PIG!" WHAT?! No way I thought! I am going to have so much fun when this kiddo becomes a teenager! To finish it off my 3yo son Giannis while cuddling him, he decided to call me a "fluffy bird." I know I have gained a few pounds but I did not think it was to the point of "fluffy." Another week with boys....
I'm sorry to hear about all your woes. Good news for us is that we have been getting enough moisture to break last year's drought and our pond is filling back up! It looks like you get so many things done. My stitching is so slow. I am cutting out a Sweet Escape quilt by Thimbleberries in the blue colorway like she made. I hope you get your quilting machine back to working soon!
Love seeing all your beautiful stitching and quilting. I had my may tag dishwasher for three years and all of a sudden it did not work. I tried a few schematics on it and the dishwasher still did not want to run. I called my May Tag man and he said the motor died. I had him fix it for around $500.00. I felt that was not so bad. He also changed the front of the dishwasher from white to stainless steal .
Jack's Bash is gorgeous! Your strawberry was beautiful. I have started the Raven quilt. I just got a set of appliquick tools but have not tried them yet. I'm so sorry for such a horrible January , praying this month is much much better.🫂🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
The quilt behind you is so awesome. I have to say the introduction music for your channel is so comforting along with the pictures. Sending many prayers to your aunt and your uncle for better health. I do hope the machines will start working properly and the repair costs will not be too costly. Your Jack's Bash is wonderful. How exciting! I'm so impressed with all of your various projects. You are very inspiring. ❤😊
Your crow and the strawberry are really cool. Jack's Bash is so pretty. You do beautiful work on so many lovely projects. Gosh what a month, keep smiling. My husband had been so sick for months and we finally found an ER doctor that would really look at him and run some tests that would tell us why he was suffering. Well, he had a blood infection and it was affecting his heart so bad that he had to have open heart surgery. Great news it was a successful surgery and recovery. He is 4 months post-op and is back to to the gym with me and doing home projects and is his old jovial self. We are counting our blessings and loving life.
Sending only good thoughts your way! I think we all of Pits of Despair that just seem to fill up "out of nowhere" even as I'm adding one more thing. Even with so much going on I want to thank for sharing your journey and beautiful work with us. V. V.
Praying for your auntie. Sounds like they are really going through it! You probable have a great big blessing coming your way. Often, when things look thecworst and the battle is the hardest, we are just about to break through to something new and wonderful. Praying blessings over you and yours!
Well . . . now that #3 has shown up, you are free and clear for quite a while. My husband had open heart surgery 2 years ago last September. It was extremely stressful, but modern medicine is nothing short of miraculous. My husband made a full recovery, feels great, and can do everything he used to plus a few things. I am praying your aunt has the same experience. Your work is gorgeous. I just love the red quilt behind you. I hope you have a very peaceful next few weeks.
I'm so excited for you to start The Raven! Next month, let's start a Baltimore Album quilt! Kidding!! 😂Seriously, though, THANK YOU!!! for the amazing shout out! I SO appreciate it! I'm sending strong healing vibes to your quilting machine. I'm sorry you had such a rough January. January included me crawling under my house for the first time to investigate the source of an unsatisfactory smell. I'm a bit poorer now, but the smell is gone! lol! That's my good news for January! That, and knowing that I'm capable of crawling under my own house. Here's to a great February! P.S. I get very angry about the whole dishwasher situation these days too. We tried to have ours fixed and it would have been more expensive than replacing it. Such a ridiculous waste. After four months of handwashing dishes, though, I was so happy when the new one was installed!
Appliqué is one of the most relaxing and satisfying techniques in quilting. I learned the freezer paper method, and you will love it. You feel a real sense of accomplishment.
The red quilt is beautiful! So happy in the background. That was definitely a challenging January for you. I feel your pain on the dishwasher situation. We're on our 4th one in this house. Lived here only 16 years. To reiterate a previous commenter, we went with Bosch this time. So far so good though it's only two years old. Prayers for you and your family. I could give you a few "dad" jokes but they're so dumb you'd probably block me. 😂
I will prayer for your family Love all your videos. Your energy toward making quilts is inspiring Love your beautiful cross stitching. Sew perfect stitches God bless you. Your family and much love for February Love all you do Thank you
I just don't have words adequate enough to tell you Olivia just how amazing & wonderful your Flosstube videos are!! You are extremely talented I say...Thank you very much for being so willing to share your talents with all of us!! 🥰 The time it takes to make a flosstube video alone is huge! I look forward to your videos!! I know life takes us in many different directions at times that we don't see coming! I'm terribly sorry to hear about your appliances! Then you're Quilting machine too. It will be okay. 🙏 We know exactly how you feel!! We had to replace ours and the guys that sold them to us said... If these keep going for 7 years you'll be lucky!! Well, 2 years have gone by and they keep going strong!! 🤞 I'm banking on "HOPE '🎉🎉 On a Happy note you'll have BEAUTIFUL appliances in your already beautiful home! I love mine. ❤❤ You deserve them! Olivia, I've learned more from you than you'll ever know!! Thank you for all you do!! 🥰 Take care. ❤❤ Oh, and your quilt behind you is gorgeous!!! I was thinking how thankful I am for technology right!! Getting to know others from far away right in the comfort of our homes!! I love that! 🎉❤❤❤❤ Take care!
The doctors nowadays and modern medicine are nothing short of magic. I had colon cancer, and while not pleasant a year out, i am fine and keeping my doctors in my prayers. I know your aunt and uncle will have the best care and will come through this hard time. Many prayers are being sent.
Sorry you had such a rough January! Praying for a better February and an easy fix for your machine. All your work is just so beautiful, thank you for sharing. I was able to purchase one of the crows from your shop and he’s so cute!! God bless you and your family❤
Your video’s are always so uplifting and the inspiration is just awesome. I love the pictures at the beginning and the end. I hope your quilting machine is a simple and quick fix and you can continue quilting soon. For me January was like a blur and flew by, I am still surprised that it’s February already. Looking forward to your next flosstube 🥰
Wow, 🤞 for a better February for you. I can't believe your girl jinxed your quilt machine like that. Hopefully it's an easy fix. And good thoughts going to your Aunt for a speedy recovery. Your projects are beautiful. My WIP's are giving me pressure too. They'll all get done in time.
Love seeing everything that you’re working on cross stitching and quilting. I will keep your family in our prayers. Hope everything goes good with your aunt and her surgery. I love the quilt hanging behind you. It’s beautiful! I do like Jack’s Bash. The fabric that you chose to put that on is so cool with the design, hope you have a good next two weeks
As usual, your stitching is absolutely beautiful and your progress is inspiring. Love the sampler quilt behind you for Valentine’s Day or Christmas. Absolutely lovely! Hang in there Olivia; you’re a positive person and a hopeful optimist during a very challenging and disappointing month. This too will pass. The bitter times make the sweet ones even sweeter. Thank you for sharing both with us. There is wonderful support in our stitching community. ❤️
Sorry about your machine. I bought a new used machine and it jammed up right before Christmas. I hot it back Thursday...it really takes the wind out of your sails when they go down for no apparent reason. I hope your longarm is up an running soon
I pray your quilting machine is fixable and not too costly! What a bummer! What a wonderful surprise gift from your friend! I think framing it would be wonderful and like you said you can put it in a lot of places in your house. Hopefully the next 2 weeks go better than the last 2 years!
Oh Olivia NNNOOOO!!!!!! Hope the machine is not too bad and an easy fix to do, I just know you will be beside yourself that you can complete what you were quilting!! Loved the cross sitches you showed, I took a couple of pics on the ones I like LOL
Your Jack is awesome! I. Taking mine to pick a frame this week 😊I have a Blackbird quilt book but I hesitate to try it since I’m still a pretty new quilter, I joined my local quilt guild this month to get inspiration and access to lots of quilting experts! Keep up your work on Lazy Bear Mountain, I felt them same about half in on mine but the finished piece is so worth it! Happy stitching!!
I hope everything works out with all of your appliances and your machine! I know it is hard at times but it can always be worse. Praying for all of your family members. Everything you showed was beautiful as always. I love your Valentines stitching and quilts. I just got 3 quilts back from the longarm that I hire and do you think I can find the binding for any of them.🤪
I know they say appliances don't last as long as they used to but two years doesn't sound right. We are on our third microwave in five years (others were under warranty) but I want a new stove too and this one keeps plugging along. My happy story is that I didn't think we'd get another pet but after four years wore my husband down. Our new kitty is so sweet and playful; such a joy!
I'm sorry about the unhappy January events yet It made me content because my February is so far vry stressful & I'm trying hard to float. The good thing I started my first full coverage Dimensions as I watch your flosstube. I wish your aunt & uncle full recovery as well as the dish, fridge & long arm 😅
As always such beautiful projects I love the quilt you had displayed so pretty I always look forward to your videos thank you for sharing your passion happy stitching.
Olivia...wishing you and your machine worries correct themselves...I am only purchasing Bosh products from here on out...Jack's Bash is awesome...love all your quilt kits and plans...best wishes ❤❤
Hello Olivia! Just wanted to say a big “Thank You!” for mentioning the Hawk Run Hollow group on FB recently. I joined the group to encourage me to work on “Shores of Hawk Run Hollow” and it’s definitely helping! I am now working on it on Friday evenings and am making progress…I am very pleased! Although I don’t leave comments very often, I enjoy your videos a lot. 😊
A little story to make you chuckle. My husband loves lasagne but due to diabetes cannot have pasta. I found a heart of palm product that makes lasagne sheets. I was so excited I could make him his favorite dish. I browned the meat , mixed the dairy free ricotta cheese with egg & a little Parmesan. I had every thing together so that when I came home after work I could quick make the lasagne. Got home put the lasagne together and as I’m finishing it up I thought the ricotta mixture was spreading odd. So I took a closer look and realized it was not ricotta, my husband worked from home that day and had moved things around a little. He had put the left over frosting with my lasagne ingredients😂. Needless to say we ate out that night.
Your Jack's Bash finish is so beautiful and I very much love your Live on Little piece. I hope your quilt machine is easily fixed for you soon. Also I hope that the rest of the winter months are much kinder to you. Thank you so much for another great video.
January was awful month for me too! We lost water heater and frozen pipes , plus work was just a bear. So usually stitching is my happy place but I been having upper arm pain. Rough, sorry this isn’t happy story but watching you always make me happy. I know many people was happy to see that month gone.
Mercy, you've had a rough January. Yes it does seem to come in 3's. Mine wasn't a blast either. But keep the Faith!! Always enjoy seeing all your stitching and quilting projects❤
Enjoyed your video a lot but am sorry for all the things happening. Sending thoughts your way. And yes you need to do the autumn Quaker. I’m working on the Winter Quaker and really love it. They are so much fun and relaxing. Enjoy!
Olivia bless your heart! I am holding your hand from Louisiana and saying prayers for you. It’s going to be alright. Your quilt behind you is gorgeous and I love your projects. Jack’s Bash is finished - love it!! Chin up and always forward! Great news on the mammo!! Way to go girls!! Ha! ❤
Oh goodness whAt a month you have had. When I was a little girl and things kept happening that went south, my dad would always say ok Murphy, as in Murphy’s law, can move out now. I really hope it’s nothing serious with your long arm, and will keep your grandma in my prayers that her heart surgery goes well. ❤️
You should talk to Shellie, the Antique Needleworker, she thinks January went by very fast. Good month, all that! Love the quilt you have hanging behind you. Remember, spring will be here, eventually!!!
Always a joy spending time with you Olivia. I hope you get everything fixed without too much cost. Until next time take care and happy stitching/quilting ❤
Oh Olivia, sometimes it never rains but it pours. Prayers for better days. Your stitching is beautiful! I am so excited about how close to a finish you are on Elizabeth! Jack's Bash is beautiful! Thanks as always and happy stitching.
I'm so excited for you to start the Raven quilt! I lovemaking that quilt. The pieces are big and easy to work on and just keep reminding yourself one block at a time! Have a wonderful 2 weeks! Take care. ❤
I always enjoy your Flosstubes. I look forward to them every time. Your stitching is exquisite and inspiring. Thank you for spending the time to produce quality videos. I hope your luck with appliances and the quilting machine gets better soon!
Olivia, I love watching you every two weeks. Wish you did a video every week. You are so inspiring. I’m so so sorry about your aunt. I hope her surgery goes so well. Thank you thank you so much for the giveaway that you sent me. I love it and can’t wait to start it. I’m currently working on the monthly mystery stitch from fox and rabbit. It is so much fun. It’s a surprise every month and love the mystery. My first one ever. I also quilt and am currently working on a cat quilt for my granddaughter. It is fun having crafts to do keep up your beautiful work. Love you videos
Lots of snow in Denver today. After carefully driving home in the storm (from my son's home), I was so happy to be able to enjoy a steaming cup of coffee and watch a new Flosstube (132) from you Olivia. Such a comfort! I look forward to your flosstubes - I'm a lover of Civil War Repro fabrics too and a creator of traditional style quilts and, of course, cross stitch samplers! Thank you for keeping me, and many of your followers, so inspired.
Keeping your family in my prayers, it’s always hard when everything seems to hit at once. Beautiful stitching as always, and I hope it gives you comfort even when times are tough.
I always love your session. Your crossstitch completed and unfinished are fantastic. Your quilt on the back wall is pretty. I love the quilt projects sent and the ones you have purchased. Can't wait see them. Thank you
Yes, the newer dishwashers/appliances are not made in USA in whole in more(most) and they last 2-5 years. I moved into a house and in five years I replaced dishwasher twice besides the one that came with it. Bummer more of quilting machine 😮
What a bunch of goodness in one video! Jacks Bash is amazing of course, and I think you've convinced me to get Sarah Stewart Hardman out of the wish list into the shopping cart. Your start with the overdyes is beautiful. I really hope February is a better month for you. Sending great wishes to your aunt for her heart surgery xx
I'm so sorry January was so challenging for you! Prayers for your aunt. Hang in there! I love how you are always striving for positivity in everything. Your stitching is so beautiful. Hugs and hopes for a better February!
Have you tried plugging your machine into a different plug? And check the breaker? Dishwasher should last longer, about ten years,,,any warranty on yours? So sorry to hear of the breakdowns. How fun finding a pattern for a frame rather than the other way around! Happy February.
I have to get Live On Little, I love everything about it! News to help cheer you up - I started and finished 2 projects this month! Bluebird Out My Window by With Thy Needles and Thread AND Earth Laughs In Flowers by Happy Mood Point! I'm excited!!! I'll need to look for frames, and another frame for Strawberry Fields Forever by Blackbird Designs I finished in December! That one was my medication when sorting/donating/packing a house of 20 years/moving!!!! ALL by myself for 2 of us! WOW!!!! What work, a whirlwind, and craziness!!!! I needed a wonderful stitch to help get me thru that! I moved in permanently on November 20, the day the movers moved everything I packed and the furniture, my partner who has Parkinsons, thus the reason why he could not help me in any way to do all I did, he finally got to move here permanently December 15. He is now retired, and we are both LOVING it here in Michigan's thumb on Lake Huron!!!!! We've had LOTS of blessings and they continue! We are VERY grateful! I'm getting ready to start a new pattern, I am trying to decide on the fabric and how much of it I want to stitch - I may not stitch the top part, it is, Strawberry Bell Pull by Stitch with Coffee Designs. It won't be a bell pull, I have a stand with a wooden board that turns. I'd like to stitch 2 designs and mount them on each side so I can turn it around given the season or holiday! I love that idea! For the bell pull pattern, I need to do the math and compare the size to the board which I am doing today! I think it will fit! I decided that after I thought about not stitching the very top section as I feel it 'looks' added, then the idea of it fitting my board popped into my head! Exciting!!!! I am generally a monogamous stitcher, but that HAS to change!!! I stitch so often I find myself with nothing to pick up and stitch! I need a few WIPS going, so that WILL happen! I do have 2 problem-children of WIPS, I just cannot pick those up right yet! Lol! I'll get to them! Yep! I hope everything goes better for you! I hope you get your quilting machine back fast and it's a part under warranty! That would be the ultimate!!!!!! Thank you for these enjoyable videos! I love every one!
Another great FlossTube. I always look forward spending my Saturday morning with you. Praying your aunt’s surgery goes well and she has a speedy recovery. I feel your pain about your appliances. Last summer my double wall ovens died along with the microwave. I had to cook lots of food in the air fryer and stove. It took weeks before I could find replacements, but I’m enjoying my new Whirlpool appliances. Two years ago I had to replace my dishwasher, washer and dryer and refrigerator. Appliances don’t last like they used too. I hope your long arm will only require some inexpensive parts. Hang in there!
Jack's Bash is gorgeous! Great progress on your WIPS. Love the red quilt, but REALLY love the Star quilt in your intro. Prayers for your family members. I hope your bad luck has left! Marilyn
Love watching you! Your stitching and quilting is gorgeous. Better days are ahead. ❤
Olivia your stitching is just exquisite. Loved all the pieces today.

I sure hope your quilting machine is an easy fix. Have a wonderful week!

Well . . . now that #3 has shown up, you are free and clear for quite a while.
Olivia, I am so sorry 2024 has not been kind to you and your family. Know that you and yours are in my prayers.
Thank you so much Nita!!
Love “Elizabeth…”. it is gorgeous!
I will prayer for your family
Love all your videos. Your energy toward making quilts is inspiring
Love your beautiful cross stitching. Sew perfect stitches
God bless you. Your family and much love for February
Love all you do
Thank you
I just don't have words adequate enough to tell you Olivia just how amazing & wonderful your Flosstube videos are!!
🤞 I'm banking on "HOPE '🎉🎉
On a Happy note you'll have BEAUTIFUL appliances in your already beautiful home! I love mine. ❤❤ You deserve them!
Olivia, I've learned more from you than you'll ever know!! Thank you for all you do!! 🥰
Take care. ❤❤
Oh, and your quilt behind you is gorgeous!!!
Love the finish on Jack’s Bash I am working on it also. I am also working on Lori’s Farmhouse Star. I am in the cutting phase 💜
I got Christmas in myheart because you and somebody else showed it. I love the poinsettias in the border.
Listened to your video and then went to quilt guild. Love cross stitch too!
Sorry about your machine. I bought a new used machine and it jammed up right before Christmas. I hot it back Thursday...it really takes the wind out of your sails when they go down for no apparent reason. I hope your longarm is up an running soon
So sorry to hear you had a rough January Olivia! Prayers for a better February and that your machine is easily fixed. 🙏🏽💕
Think of it this way!!! Maybe you’re getting all the bad stuff done for the year!! 😊
I need a crow!!!! I love him!
Congratulations on the new kitty!
Oh no! Lol! That was a great story! Hope you were eventually able to make the lasagna!
Love your videos. Your quilts are absolutely beautiful! The Raven is the next project on my to do list!
Mercy, you've had a rough January. Yes it does seem to come in 3's. Mine wasn't a blast either. But keep the Faith!! Always enjoy seeing all your stitching and quilting projects❤
Our tumble dryer died 😢. It was a good one. My granddaughter has named the new one candy
Prayers for a much better February for you and your family. 🙏
Would love to learn appliqué. It looks so fun. Thanks for sharing.
😅Keeping your aunt in my prayers. And hugs to you that February will be a better month ❤
Prayers for your Aunt. Hope your quilt machine, just needs a little tune-up. Love your projects. Happy stitching.
Jacks bash is beautiful. Love the quilt behind you. Prayers for your aunt and uncle. Thats tough stuff. Have a better month.
Boy I wish you lived closer to me (NC) I have an APQS Millenium we’d just move into your “workshop”. Hope it’s a quick and affordable fix.
Love your quilting and stitching. Thank you for sharing
Hope your quilting machine fix is quick and inexpensive. Your red quilt is amazing as is all your crossstitch. Have a great week
Hello from Ohio. I watching on Saturday
Wonderful projects, and a fabulous finish!
I feel your pain, so sorry seems like things seem to go wrong in threes as you say. I will keep you in my thoughts.
Jack's Bash is gorgeous!
Great progress on your WIPS.
Love the red quilt, but REALLY love the Star quilt in your intro.
Prayers for your family members.
I hope your bad luck has left!
Marilyn
