This bracket is very well made, and offers several antenna options. It reminds me of the old Rabbit Ears TV antennas, we grew up using. (& I am using now, for a small flat screen TV! It still works pretty good.) The 1/4-20 thread base is hand for use with a camera tripod.
Very good Chuck ! I am thinking of using with like MAD DOG coil and 17 ft whip. Thank you for the great review ! HAMS helping HAMS makes this hobbey better for all of us ! 73
Thanks Robert, this would work great with the mad dog . Even the buddy pole stuff , wolf river coil and the mpas would work . The only thing that it won't do is what your imagination won't lol. Thanks for the comment!
I bought one of these last week. Great product. Some of the comments just prove that no matter what you do a video on, or what product someone comes out with, there are people whose whole lives revolve around negativity and they can’t wait to tell you what is wrong with it. Kinda sad really.
I slid under the wire in ordering one (there were 2 left)... they're sold out and now take pre-orders. Chuck, You sure fired up the natives on this piece of kit, good on you. I'm anxious to try in out with my Rez Ranger 80 when it arrives.... drag everything up to Mt. Diablo and see what kind of DX I can get.
Hey thanks for the comment. The versitee at 65.00 won't do the V configuration. For another 55.00 you can purchase their rotating arms now the price is 120.00 to do the same thing. I think 75.00 is a better value for something that is heavier duty and has more options for a mast and not stuck to proprietary products. Buddy pole products are nice but some people have different equipment and the S&K will work with anything. Bulkier doesn't matter to me I wouldn't throw either into a backpack.
@@KK6USYHamRadioAdventures I would say this would not make a great SOTA or POTA product to much weight But if I'm setting up something with lots of weight and more permanent this would be a good choice
How can it be a knockoff? I don't see it, it doesn't look or work anything like the VersiTee. The VersiTee only mounts to their mast, it is not adjustable unless you buy the optional rotating arm kit, and it uses a coax/pin plug connector instead of a direct SO-239. By the time you buy all the components (without any antennas) needed for the VersiTee, you're looking at $250+ . S&K bracket for the win at $75.
Most quality tripods, especially those that provide good height, have a 3/8” stud NOT a 1/4”. The maker of that bracket should have realised that there are 3/8” to 1/4” screw-in adapters readily available which convert a 3/8” tripod hole to a 1/4” tripod hole. Vice versa, the same adapter also converts a 1/4” camera stud to a 3/8” camera stud. So on that critical point alone, the design missed an opportunity to be able to be mounted on ALL tripods.
Excellent demonstration Chuck. yes that build quality is fantastic and the main reason I sell them.
Super versatile. 73.
Yea I was really impressed when I received it!
I got my bracket. Very well made. I am excited to try it out

Great video Chuck. Really nice antenna bracket.
Super cool, thanks Chuck!
Thanks Jim!
Great demo, Chuck 👍
I like the versatility!
That thing is pretty sweet.
Thanks Chuck you're the best!
This looks like a good deal. I have the buddipole versa-tee and this is stronger AND cheaper AND lighter!

Nice 👍
I am in the process of building something like this for a 10 meter antenna. I might have to reconsider!
It's really nice and very well made, thanks for the comment!

Have you used it yet , I have been sick since receiving mine but plan to use it soon? Thank you for the comment!

The store for the mount says closed. Is there another source? Thanks!
The S&K web site has been down for maintenance for several weeks now? Are they still in business?
Wally i'm not sure but I will try and check for you. I know they sold out after my video.
Than k you. I’ve been checking their site weekly. Also, the donuts and other items that you 3D print, can you share those files?
I ordered one Chuck. Ill let ya know how i like it
That's Great Cliff, let me know what you think!
@@KK6USYHamRadioAdventures looks well made
I followed the link in the description and everything was inaccessible
Let me check it, thank you!
I would like an explanation on the delta loop configuration
Cliff good idea, I will try and do a video on that!
@@KK6USYHamRadioAdventures would be appreciated
So this is a knockoff of the Buddipole VersiTee thats been on the market for over 20 years now just heavier and bulkier
Thanks for the video anyway

I think that may change, but you can get 1/4" to 3/8" adapters. Thanks for watching
