  • Testing the new Jimny's load carrying capability as we take an engine along to Nutley Windmill on the Ashdown Forest for an open day event.
    The mill is the only working open trestle post mill in the country, an ancient design that dates back to the 12th century. The mill post is dated back to the 1530's but the mill was moved to the current site around 1835 and worked until around 1908. Restoration began in 1968 and the mill remains a fine, working survivor.
