Does anyone else's cat do this, or is it just me, lol?

My elderly guy just died, 16-1/2yo he was mostly blind (cataracts) but he still would find his way into the bathroom with me (I kept water and a box in there since he had issues navigating the stairs)... He'd cry until I let him sit in my lap (yes, while sitting on the throne).
Trust me, what is annoying to you today you will find yourself missing someday. 😥

Cats are a curious critter and they want to know what you are doing in there. All of my cats have been like that and 1 tried peeing in the toilet like his male owner.

They're standing guard to protect you. In the wild, cats are most vulnerable to predators when they're going to the bathroom. So they do lookout duty for each other. Be flattered: it means they consider you part of their family 😺😸

It is more likely to happen with male cats. They tend to be much closer to their humans than females as far as personal space. My male cats have always done this, only one of my female cats has ever done this. You have a cute cat!

Awww, thank you!! Sasha, the tuxedo is female. I do believe she has separate anxiety, and Felix is a male. ✨️❤️
