Scaling and letters are kinda like grades... from worst "D" to the best "A", each weapon has own scaling and you can change it with ashes of war which mean you can adjust weapons to match stats you're character is using. For example if you play "FAITH" build you would use "sacred" ashes because they change weapon's scaling to Faith which means more levels go into faith better damage weapon does. Most people who played From Soft games are familiar with this system because they use it in every game for decades now, for new people it might be a bit overwhelming this huge stat sheet at once. I glad you found out how to use Ashes of War, some of the are really good and worth using.
@@todeskult2818The Crucible Knights with the sword are easy to parry. I don't use parrying often because I suck at it, but against them it is really easy once you get the hang of it.
Boc is back as your personal seamster! He basically makes armor lighter but decreases their defense stat. You can do it yourself but it costs runes whereas he does it for free! Congrats getting to the divine tower and restoring the great rune. You're right about the glintstone key being there but you don't need to beat the dragon now if you don't want to, just dash past him, grab the key and run xD Alberich was such a pain, good on you for beating him
The Dragon Boss Fight’s are amazing! They’re becoming my favorite so far. That little boss at the Roundtable Hold was annoying. We got’em! Finger and Fingers. Hah, enjoyed the Episode. Hope your having a great weekend! 🤗
Just because you didn't seem to realize, near the end of the video you were fighting some skeletons. You thought you weren't doing well, but you actually were once you started using your ash of war. It shoots and empowers your weapon with holy damage. Watch again. You were doing tons of damage and killing them without a chance to resurrect after you started using it. Dead things are VERY vulnerable to holy damage.
Always a good day when I see you’ve uploaded another video, Jackie! ☺️ I’m on my first playthrough at the minute too so it’s interesting to see the way you deal with everything, and the discoveries you make. Just a small tip for you, get used to using your shield. You seem to be rolling a lot where you could be blocking and using your guard counter which does so much damage. Hold your shield up with LB, when your enemy attacks and the blow hits your shield, immediately press RT to perform your guard counter. You’ll be so happy once you get used to doing it. Loving the playthrough and you’re doing so well. Keep it up 😊
So glad you're back! You're about to get into the less "cozy" parts of the game, but I saw you take on the divine tower in Dragonbarrow so I know you're up to the task
I've found other playthrough's difficult to watch with how much new players miss, or ignore as far as learning the techniques, but you pay attention to your surroundings and learn as you go very quickly.
You can find another Uchigatana inside the Deathtouched Catacombs in Stormhill, Limgrave -- a little to the north of where you first met Alexander, close to that bridge that takes you east. I'd try out its Skill before adding an Ash of War. Unsheathe is a great Skill, and it will be gone forever once you attach an Ash of War. Just Hold LT/L2 until you're ready to attack, then press RT/R2. When wielding two katanas, use LB/L1 when attacking. The key is right behind that dragon. You can sneak behind it and grab it no problem. Oh, and GREAT JOB defeating Mad Tongue Alberich! 👍
@@LabyrinthMole i just haven't tried again in fear of losing runes but seeing her beat him that easily was seriously humiliating, why is he meaner when its me....
You should use your shield more. Also, you can craft arrows by killing birds and animals. You can make them fire arrows by collecting the butterflies around fires.

No one tells you can sneak behind dragon for the key you need
50:45 I was waiting for you to encounter this guy. Probably the most hated enemy of all. 😁

Jackie literally spent the entire session looking for the key but called it the day while the key was inches away XD nooooo 1:43:56

it's a real pleasure to watch you play. I've watched a few videos, but I like this one best. keep it up

This was a great video! Good progress too! The roundtable fight is always a tough one. And you made it to your first great rune! Well done!
😍 More Jackie playing Elden Ring.. YAAAAAY! 🙌
Rule #57 of Elden Ring: No one's scares Torrent!

Dude im still too scared of alberich even tho im lvl 58
@Random guy I know the feeling. Once you beat him, though, it'll all be good, and you'll have less angst when fighting other tough NPCs.

@Random guy One tip would be to get vigor up to at least 40 or 45 pretty soon. I have between 40 and 60 vigor on all my builds.
@@LabyrinthMole what do you mean "pretty soon" do you have any idea how much farming it would take? I have like 25 vigor
The glinstone key is located in linuria of lakes.its behind a sleeping dragon
@Lucatiel Mirrah 😊
The spider lady is linked to the blacksmith. After you figure out how to do that she can enhance your spirits.
You're amazing Jackie
I'm so glad you're still playing this. I'm really enjoying it. Keep it up! I hope you play all the way through.

Jackie the amount of time you have died so far to pure greed and stubbornness is hilarious :D.
So glad I found your channel a few days ago =)
That "Cool. Cool, cool, cool" at 40:27 was an Abed of Community reference?
Woohoo your vids make my weekend 500% better! Sorry I can't give you 600% but your camera did go out! 🤣🤣💖💗💖💗💖💗
🤣
RUclips has some great spoiler free tutorials for ashes of war, crafting and summons.
haha anyone who ever played a From Soft game knows when it's time to run!
😂
They noticed.
You fought a giant spider and a giant lobster. That was epic. ⚔️🛡🦞
1:23:29 what song is that? It's souns familiar but I can't remember it!
The song is called ‘Tom’s Diner’ by Suzanne Vega.
@@rickydiamond441 Thanks! Listening to it, I never actually listen to it, maybe just a fragment on some ad 🤔
So sad for you that you don't like spiders...You're going to see horrible spiders very soon in the game🕷🕸🖐.
👀

Spoiler free is boring, they are here for a reason
