I waste time sitting around and just getting achievements; that could be my fault but I can't stand raiding anymore. The older raids were so much more fun than they are now imo. PvP is still not entirely fixed, they always have problems balancing it out or making every class good enough. There's also much less content that each expansion provides. It's like 5 dungeons and 3 raids per expansion now compared to the 10s of dungeons and 5 or more raids. The other thing that entirely kills it for me is leveling. After cataclysm a lot of zones (to me) got ruined and dull. The quests aren't nearly as fun and the places that got destroyed by deathwing also created a desire to go back to the older times, but can't. It's also not even a challenge to level anymore; if I really wanted to, I could easily get to lvl 50 or so in a day. The only challenging lvls are the last few till max level. The other thing is that the talents and skills were changed too much. The talents ruined a lot of the drive to level up more, I missed wanting to get to the next level to get the next point for a new skill or just to put another point in. Skills were also fun to go back and learn too. Overall I would just say the drive to do anything in the game is completely ruined for me. I haven't played the game in over 3 months and the time I did spend in WoW was just sitting around in the major city or trying to force myself to level a character. A game needs some sort of difficulty for it to be entertaining and I feel like a lot of it is lost. I always try out the newer expansions hoping they fix some of it, but I just don't see myself playing it again for more than a few months tops.
To this day I still hope they do something with gilneas I remember making my first wow character when I was 8 a worgen and I thought the city was awsome I didn’t want to leave lol

This is my favorite rendition of the main theme of WoW. As going to college for music theory and composition soon I can see that this game truly has some of the best composed music I've ever heard, including this piece. While a lot of this game has some of the best orchestrated songs, some of the music I hear while playing honestly sounds like an Ice cream truck song.....
You know what? Cataclysm was pretty cool. Right now I feel at peace with all of the expansions. I love it. All of them have something to bring to the table. It's nice. Just...don't remove things anymore, Blizzard. That's all I want. WoD is doing it right: allowing you to return to the old Outland. Now, they did it more for the professions system, but it's good for nostalgia too. BC was fantastic, and losing that would be even worse than missing out on Vanilla, like what happened to me. All in all, though, I'd never say that any one expansion was ever BAD, per se.

Jackie Sarsfield i also started in cataclysm, and for most of it i didn't even have a subscription, but when i did it was amazing. i swear, i legitimately swear that it was the best time of my life, but also because i played with my boyfriend. i was always alliance and i ran through alliance bases xD it was hilarious cos we'd be like WAIT NO DON'T GO THERE and we'd get zapped and usually die lmao getting zapped by the gryphons is hilarious

Then Cata happened, and the sight of fire, Deathwing on Stormwind and the intro being all "disaster! terror! the world is getting destroyed! doomsday is here!" was such an epic, brutal slap, in a good way. It really felt like the chill WoW I was introduced was in danger, but it was just really cool. I loved Cata. I loved all the new quests, I loved that they, I think, made unique music for every old zone in Kalimdor and Eastern Kingdoms, instead of several having the same, like Feralas and Stranglethorn, or Elwynn and Hillsbrad, I think. And I loved the ability to fly anywhere, it made me want to explore more places. Except I was kinda scared of Deathwing popping up while I was flying. Cata was cool. I miss WoW. I've just been too busy with school and art.

I've played every expansion from Vanilla all the way to Dragon Flight. Honestly Cata's theme song is my favorite of them all as it is also a Tribute to my favorite music pieces in WotLK and the original vanilla theme song on the login-screen
I started playing WoW during cata when I was 11 and now that i am 17 and still playing to this day, i feel nostalgic towards this soundtrack. Its lovely and reminds me of times when i was little, running off the bus to get on my computer and log in on my DK lol. Good times. By far my favorite expansion, but Legion is coming close
Funny how the most awesome events where community things such as the blood plague, raid boss pull to the capital and other bugs and world events of similar world devastation.
Cata was a necessary step in the game because they needed to redo every zones in Eastern Kingdom and Kalimdor. Now, i can ride my cenarion hippogryph 5 feet above the ground, at 310% speed, and do surprise attacks on leveling or mats farming allies punks. Also, FL and BWD were nice raids...
The expansion where Blizzard showed a lot of ambition and boldness revamping the entire world. Back when they truly loved their game, depsite the expansion's shortcomings.
I actually really did love Cataclysm, I guess it all depends on the experience the player had whilst Cata. Some Dreaded it, some loved it. Either the music got to them, the new zones, meeting new friends, or loosing friends. Each player has her/his's own reason for their attachment to the expac. The one thing we do have in common is that we end up feeling nostalgic about it by the next expansion.
That bit was when my guild was on ventrillo and we got the message from Blizzard telling us to restart world of warcraft to access the cataclysm content. Everyone did it across the world and boom. XD

I remember watching my brother play wow for the first time ever. We had had 7 day free trial keys since around vanilla, but we never thought it was "cool". That is until I saw my brother blasting the razor fens out of Mulgore. That's when I started playing, and I've loved WoW ever since.
I miss cata to very much!. all my friends stop playing it when mop came out. I think cataclysm was the best expansion ever!. When Rogue was not nerfed to the ground. when hunters had melee and ranged weapon. When i enjoyed playing on my shammy. now i dont else want to reach 87. i miss Heroics, raids, lore. Now everyone just focus to get 90 to get to that boring land south. What i miss most about cataclysm is the talent systemem. now its not a choice longer.
gotta disagree wholeheartedly there, i played WoW for 8 years loved it, i've now played GW2 for 4 love it, i tried going back to WoW for a month a short while ago and it was just so....old. can't move while attacking? downtime?! i swing my sword and it only hits one guy?! My fav was WotLK because of the people, but Cata holds a special place in my heart. I'm not a raider though, so I can't comment on that aspect (did only like Bastion of Twilight), but everything else was amazing, I loved the overall theme. The most fun I've had in dungeons was early Cata tbh, and I'm saying that as a healer.

gotta disagree wholeheartedly there, i played WoW for 8 years loved it, i've now played GW2 for 4 love it, i tried going back to WoW for a month a short while ago and it was just so....old.
can't move while attacking? downtime?! i swing my sword and it only hits one guy?!
WoW had its place as probably the greatest MMO in MMO history,
but its just too dated, the combat is just so static and sluggish compared with newer MMOs,

Cata was an expansion with a lot of problems, but the music was definitely not one of them.

2 BIG things i miss from this xpack that MoP took away from us was the fun as hell to create talent trees and the secondary weapon like warriors got bows and dk's got relics, great times
this was the login screen i remember cause I only started playing wow when cataclysm came out
My fav was WotLK because of the people, but Cata holds a special place in my heart. I'm not a raider though, so I can't comment on that aspect (did only like Bastion of Twilight), but everything else was amazing, I loved the overall theme. The most fun I've had in dungeons was early Cata tbh, and I'm saying that as a healer.
