INTERVIEW | Kris and Mads x Shauna Lawless

In this interview, Shauna Lawless introduces her trilogy The Gael Song, which is recently complete with its third installment The Land of the Living and the Dead. We discuss how Irish folklore and history are a huge part of her fantasy series. You guys are just so good at getting to the heart of these stories and allowing the authors to really dive deep into their own work in a way that is so fun to watch! Read The Children of Gods and Fighting Men a couple of months ago and can’t wait to dive into the rest of the series. Loved hearing more from Shauna about it!

I really love seeing all these interviews with different authors and learning how they craft their stories. I think you provide the authors with so much space to talk about their work and I feel like you navigate the dicussion really well with direct questions and sharing your experiences. I really, really enjoy what you do, Maddie and Kristen! please never stop. you're my favorite content creators at the moment and I live for every little tidbit you put out!
I've been eyeing The Gael Song series for so long - I first learned about it from Margaret on tiktok and since then I've seen Brothers Gwynne rave about it a lot, but my TBR is quite literally a 1000 books and I'm trying to finish up the series I've started so 😭 I don't think I will ever outlive my TBR. also the Desperate Housewives comparison got me like 👀 intrigued!!!
