@@joehooper2960 u are right, but the c43 is the same as the old c450... they just changed the name to sell more. If you look at the motor it doesnt have the badge of who made it unlike the other amg's
@@selimoruc04 It definitely is an AMG, declared so by AMG themselves. Even though the C43 isn't built by a single person, its parts and tuning were chosen by AMG. The C450 AMG was called an AMG as well. The C43 isn't a watered down C63, it's more like a C class version of the E63, since it has 4 MATIC.
When the name changed to C43, the new car got a new transmission and a modified torque profile for the AWD with more rear bias. That lasted for two years.
The 2019-20 cars are completely different. They don't look like the standard C class, or the C450. They also have larger turbos, more horsepower and different programming than the C450 or 17-18 C43. They have modified front and rear, with better brake ducting in front. Exhaust exits match other higher end AMGs. Inside, the steering wheel is sourced from the S63s, the new supersport display and associated features are fully digital and are shared w/ the C63 and AMG GT 4 door. Customizations for the display, changing info and gauges displayed, aren't things the C450 had, nor is the wider COMAND screen, which has functionality more like the E class and includes AMG customization for performance features that was previously only in the C63. Ambient lighting is also stepped up to E class level.
Saying the car isn't a real AMG is uninformed and akin to people that say a C class isn't a real Mercedes. Every bit of the C43 has been touched by AMG, the only difference is that its motor isn't hand built, and that isn't enough to disqualify it.

Please let me know what you think since you have driven the new Mercedes models with the straight six engine, while the C43 still uses the old V6. Is there much difference in the engine smoothness, NVH characteristics and willingness to rev? I have not yet tried the new straight six but have two Mercedes with the V6, which I think is a really sweet engine.
Aaron Randolph Chen can compare it to the BMW B58 straight six which is smoother.

What would be a better choice for a first performance car this or a BMW M2?
My heart says M2 but brain c43 and i cannot decide. I will be driving it year round and i might even have to go skiing with it at some point, thats why the 4wd caught my attention, but theres something about the Bimmer that makes me love it so much.

It can't look like 63 because it's not 63. 43 is "entry level" AMG that's why it is a bit dull looking in comparison to 63.

@@stefanfreestylez the front suspension is from the C63, the engine is updated over the standard 3.0 by AMG, the suspension is lower and stiffer..etc . The only difference is the engine is not hand built . And remember prior to the W204, all official Mercedes AMGs , like the W202 C43, W210 E55 etc, did not have hand built engines. And also many of them simply had parts from bigger models, for example the earlier C32 AMGs used the front brakes from a S500s etc. So what you're implying is not really correct.

I was thinking about getting a c63, but the more i see the c43 the more intresting it looks overal.
IRIS Dynamics exactly my friend. I traded my C63s for the GLC43 AMG SUV and no regrets. Mine is quicker than my previous C63s to 60mph and quarter mile. It’s shocking how well built the SUV is. It puts the power down really good. I like when the front lifts up and the rear squat upon acceleration! It’s a fun to drive SUV. I will tune it with RENNtech for 460hp and 480 torque. 0 to 60 will be 3 seconds flat!
The C63 also has rear quad tip exhausts, and quick shifts. Don’t know why you said the C43 is better in those categories.

I would say no. The 4 MATIC is huge if you have a lot of rain or get snow in the winter. Also, the '19 facelift changes were major, and I wouldn't want to step down from them just to go slightly faster. Buy a JB4 or get a tune, and you can be faster than the C63s (stock) while keeping your better interior and improved looks.

I don't think AMG does fake sound through speakers.
TriHard Cx 63 models are specially exposed. There is that mechanical sound of engine that cannot be produced through speakers. You can clearly say there is no any of these new mercedeses.
