I figured I’d pool up all my VPN knowledge, pick 15 providers, and make a VPN tier list. Some of these options are at the top of the industry while some you absolutely need to know… just so you could stay away from them.

NordVPN deserves the best VPN rating for a few reasons - it has a large server pool and great performance. And yes, there’s a proper no-data logging policy that’s been put through multiple audits. The NordVPN app is very beginner-friendly, yet packed with features. The only cons I can find with this VPN are that it’s not the cheapest and there are options that cover more countries - but these two things are not enough to move it down from S-tier.
Surfshark’s security is up to par, with an audited no-logs policy, RAM-only servers, and modern encryption. Yet when it comes to the VPN itself, there are a lot of differences between these two top VPN 2024 options. For starters, Surfshark covers more countries, which makes it a better choice for streaming. The Surfshark VPN is also very user-friendly, which is why I’d call it one of the best VPN for PC options. And this VPN further solidifies this position by having absolutely no device limit.

🔥 A-tier VPNs - ExpressVPN & Mullvad
Both of these best VPN 2024 candidates are here for very different reasons. ExpressVPN has solid security, but its main gist is the fact that it covers 105 countries and handles streaming beautifully. The reason it’s not in A-tier is because it’s hiding its overall server count, but more notably, it has a pretty high price tag.

Mullvad is good, so it earns a rightful place in tier A. But that’s ONLY in terms of privacy. It’s designed to be as anonymous as possible, from the signup process to their no-logs policy. Privacy is pretty much their only perk. I tried out streaming with this VPN - almost every single Mullvad IP address is blocked. Some websites block traffic from Mullvad servers as well, which is pretty annoying when browsing.
