Nugget was born for a purpose. Few of us could claim that. On an unrelated note, I think you'd have gone far in the Spanish Inquisition. But fr love the video.
09:34 that guy deserved a break anyways. Working way too hard Also wish Renfren got a mini helmet that’s a tad too big and a wooden ax when shadowing an axe warrior 😂
@@ReneeSky yeah risking their life to (unintentional) threats for training higher combat stats would be an interesting gamble. Im glad they didn’t just have the kids be space holders and resource vacuums. It’s like in Undying where you teach your kid by example. It’s a great touch
I'm with you on the oathing and lighting! It's the little details that make a huge difference to the feel of a game. Deffs keen to give this a go. Thanks for the showcase!
I love games that let the pathing make the paths. Like Settlers 3 it went from patchy dirt, dirt, and then cobblestone based on the food traffic. Beats the hell out of trying to herd cats onto the paths just for them to cut corners I also love the dark tones. The last game that was a colony builder with a similar theme was Clockwork Empires that caved along with the dev company. So glad to see another game have that kind of ambiance. The quests in a builder is… new… to me at least. I hope it doesn’t wipe half your settlement each time.
This game is gorgeous! And the themes! It's like it was made for me, so excited to try this now 👀 I'm gonna pass on the whole child sacrifice bit though
@@ReneeSky Ah okay that makes sense. I did thought it was a bit weird watching your video about the demo and it saying that the demo is available, but when I clicked your link to the Steam page there wasn't any demo to download haha! But I got it now, and played it thx! And just want to say: there was no way I was going to sacrifice a child to that fat tree bastard! I raised a war band and killed it (after failing the first time lol)!
Discovered your channel somewhat recently but been loving the content! Feel like city-building/survival games like this are really appealing but I haven't quite found the "right" game that fits (Laysara Summit Kingdom came close) but watching them are so intriguing, so thanks for what you do! :D The Farthest Frontier gameplay was hilarious; would love to see more if uou have the capacity! P.S.: just came across "Her Crown of Fire" book and audiobook project! :O Putting em on my list to check-out and if you happen to need voice actors in the future, I'd be interested in applying!
Thank you! I was actually thinking of FF when I was editing this, ep 5 might be on the way. And thank you! We usually do casting calls through the SkyNation Publishing twitter (@skynationpub) - we're also releasing a new book next Tuesday you might like if you're into fantasy! 😊💜
@@ReneeSky Awesome to hear about FF! And good to know! I'll keep an eye out. Congrats on the new book too! I just realized you have the first audiobook in full here too (absolute class act!); listened to the first 15 minutes and was enthralled. Will be my new walk-to-work listen :D
This looks like it could be great, but it could be limited. The building area is a bit small, unless it grows over time, and placing buildings around the walls, would leave little room to expand. I like to really build big, deep settlements in games like this, if given choices I always choose the largest maps because I'll always wish it was bigger. I am just unsure if it will have the longevity I enjoy.
Nice deep dive. I must say I am now looking forward for this game. I hope the console port is as well made as Frostpunk was. Still, I also hope the trophy list is less of a struggle 😅
Are you going to play Gord when it comes out? What are you looking forward to most?
Out of everything I saw, it was the "Rock with secrets" that clearly swayed it, need game, needs it in front of my eyes
It had secrets and I took em
The sacrifice cemented it for me... Nuggies for the nuggies GOD!!!
Yeah I'm not the same after that 😂
Atmosphere and Lighting 10/10
Child Sacrifice 0/10
I'm massively excited for this game! :D
Agreed!

Haha thank you - Nugget was born for a job and he did it admirably o7
09:34 that guy deserved a break anyways. Working way too hard

That would be so super cute, would make this game even harder though

I really liked it, I'm still geared to the Banished idea of kids being resource hoovers but not contributing in any way
@@ReneeSky so realism?
Kids can be useful... I think

The lighting alone would make me buy this game. No worries!!

I got unreasonably excited about the pathing
@@ReneeSky as you should 😂 and lighting in games like this have to be on point and it delivers
Absolutely, considering it directly influences a core mechanic
@@ReneeSky and always looks cleaner

Yes!! You're going to love it, I think
I have been waiting so long for this I'm so excited
Me too!!
Where do you download the demo? EDIT: Ah yeah the Demo download has just popped-up on the Steam page!
It'll go live in about nine hours on Steam, I got tripped up on timezones 🙂

Sorry! Timezones often heck me over, being in Australia.
Good on you!! I didn't even know that was an option 😂 enjoy!!

This comment makes me so happy! We've got new eps of the audio drama on the way as well.. thank you so much for all of your support!
New video, awesome 😀
💜💜💜
The kid is so adorable but he’s practically being raised in a hellscape so that makes me worried for him.
MHM!

I've got a hunch the Gord grows over time, don't stress
PATHS THAT MAKE THEMSELVES!!!!
I lost my damn mind, I tell you

Not long to go now!
Looks like this has mixed reviews on Steam.
That is a beautiful game and my god its dark. Poor nugget....
He served his purpose.. also was served
Yup I think I'd play this not a super fan of the circle build tho all that lost space between buildings would make my odc mad
Just gotta get good at planning your city
gosh thats the worst pronounceation of sigun ive ever heared xD
Get ready for a whole bunch of em when the game comes out 💪
